Viewers Voice: Federal authorities have rejected California's proposed design for a driver's license for immigrants in the U.S. illegally, saying it is not distinguishable enough for security purposes. The current design does not differ from other California licenses except for a subtle mark on the front and a disclaimer on the back in small print. Our Viewers Voice question: Should a valid license for an illegal immigrant have to look different?

Ju/Laura: Katrina and Margaret from Stitch Fix
Who has time to go out and shop? Well guess what? You don’t have to. Thanks to stitch fix online women’s personal styling you can get your fashion fix whenever you need! The S.F.-based company was in studio to show how it works, plus they styled Laura and Ju! and showed hot spring trends. You buy a membership $20 and then pay for what you keep. Kind of like a book club for clothes.

Ken's Manly Minute: Nothing on this list is that automatic. Every element here is a matter of the choices you make, the chances you take, the courage you are willing to show. You can trick yourself into thinking bungee jumping somehow satisfies those criteria, but willfully falling off a crane in a mall parking lot is more or less a rite of passage by now, isn’t it? Maybe you call that a big moment. The trick is choosing to experience them all that way. Learn a song. Play Rugby. Fix an appliance. Take the Red Eye. Babysit someone elses kids.

Final #Questionoftheday: How do you laugh at yourself.

Quick Thought:
Cow on the Loose

Fox40: Mason Partak in the Fox40 Kitchen, BottleRock Hunt

Good Day: California Bike Tour, Bike to School, Travelling Green House, Cake Purse, Dishin With Tina, Pools To Drool

All this and more in Today in the News....

Today on Fox40 I had an issue with the 9am hour recording so I only have a little bit of it. However in the 8am hour Bethany talked about the BottleRock Scavenger Hunt for tickets that starts this Friday in Sacramento. To participate in the hunt you must use your Instagram account.

Good Day Sacramento:
A bull stole the show today when it became loose in Elk Grove. First walking down the Freeway it got off to window shop at a bike shop before being put into a fenced area. The last report is they are waiting for horses to help get the bull in the trailer. Marianne did have her Daily List that talked about moms and dads and late night baby feedings. Courtney played Whos Pantry is it with the Good Day Crew showing their Pantry as part of today's Show us Yours.

In this hour Julissa was at Ettore's decorating a purse cake perfect for Mother's Day. Mark was in West Sacramento bringing donuts to a local family as they prepare to ride bikes to school. JAIL BREAK!!!! The Bull broke out of the fence area and has since been changed to an Angus Cow. This cow totally out smarted all the police, ranchers and media with his break out but they did get him back into a field.

In this hour Julissa went to ring the bells with River Bells and California Connection Academy as they get set for a special show. Mark rode his bike to West Sacramento School where Kid Colin interviewed the Mayor of West Sacramento. Courtney introduced us to H.U.M.A.N. a Healthy Vending Machine. Finally after 4 and half hours the Cow on the loose was captured and taken into custody. In his arrest the cow was heard saying "Eat More Chicken".

In this hour now that the cow has been captured the 8am hour got back on track. Amy was hanging out with a farmer who travels in a travelling Green house truck teaching kids all about plants. Marianne sat down with Janie McBride who finished writing a book for her husband after he passed away. Larry was a firefighter for Citrus Heights Fire Dept for years before retiring and then started writing the book. Mark was in Folsom at Karen's Bakery getting all the information on the foods the California Bike Tour Riders will be eating in Folsom. Court's Tunes was played with an 80's theme and the #9amtopic was introduced How do you let loose? Courtney talked to Mike from NorCal Pool Productions as he just finished a pool to drool over with a 42 foot water slide.

It's only fitting with the cow getting loose today's #9amtopic was how to let loose and of course our 9am guides for this hour Julissa and Laura took us through all the answers plus introduced us to Stitch Fix a San Francisco based company that is like a book club for fashion. You tell them what your style is and they provide your clothes with a membership fee and then you just pay for the items you keep. Mark was in Folsom at Karen's Bakery a Prime spot to watch and eat during the California Bike Tour. Stitch Fix was back with Spring Styles. Ken's Manly Minute today was 5 things a man should do in life including playing Rugby (NO!). Courtney was in Granite Bay looking at another Pool to Drool over that is being built by NorCal Pool Productions. Today is Wednesday so Tina was Dishin With Tina at The Mangy Moose Cafe in Manteca, CA

Final Thoughts:
The Biggest Story on both shows today was Elk Grove and the GREAT Cow Chase. From Tina calling it Stella to Zohreen wishing she said Cowabunga the only thing missing from the coverage is former Good Day Reporter Heather Hudgens and her famous Cow coat. But you know it's a big story when the stations send their best to cover it. Fox with Zohreen and Good Day had 3 of their own there with Sean, Tina, and Cambi. Though not covered today My58 had Brian Hickey there for them. This slippery cow was first spotted walking down the Freeway before running from CHP into a what should be a busy shopping center during normal business hours. Once Elk Grove Police got involved in the chase they chased the cow into a construction field where he was continuing to run from the police and ranchers. He even out smarted them all by heading back to the shopping center before going into a field nearby where he was ultimately captured and taken into custody by Cowboy JR. After the cow was captured and he was being taken to the "Patty" Wagon some reports say he uttered the words Eat Mor Chikin.
Though those reports remain unconfirmed.    chickfila-cow-314x628

Today Kid Chef Mason was in the Fox40 Kitchen talking about his cooking demo's coming up this month. Tomorrow Fox40 will talk Idol Chatter.

Today on Good Day between the GREAT Cow Chase and after it was a very busy show. From Marianne's Daily List to Mark riding his bike to school with kid Colin who needs his own show with his very funny personality.

Julissa loves to ring bells so it was only fitting she was the one covering River City Bells and California Connection Academy Julissa was also trying to help decorate cakes at Ettore's for Mothers Day but she left that to the professional. In the 9am hour her and Laura talked with Stitch Fix which is a San Francisco Base Company that sells clothes through the mail and matches them to your style.

Courtney taught us about a new vending machine for Healthy eating called H.U.M.A.N. Courtney also made us all drool with Pools to Drool over including the first of 2 with a 42 foot Water Slide.

After Mark road his bike to school he headed to Folsom and Karen's Bakery gets ready for the Tour of California this weekend in Folsom.

Amy was checking out a Traveling Green House with a man who built it from a truck and travels all over teaching kids about plants and foods. One story Amy was also covering and should look for later this week or next because of the Cow Chase was Tanning Party
The warm temps are here and it’s time to say good-bye to that pale. dry skin and bronze it up with a little color! Bronze Dollz is a mobile tanning company that throws tanning parties in your very own backyard. Were kicking off the tanning party this morning in Carmichael helping a soon-to-be-bride and little dancers get a glitter glow for a dance rehearsal!
9165322580 (Laura) or 9168334629 (Kristin)

One other story unable to be covered today was
Life-or-Death Egg Hunt
Local students get out of the classroom and into the fields to save the ducks!! The kids will be sweeping a farm field in Lincoln to rescue wild duck eggs before the field gets harvested later this week!!!
I don't know if we will see this story or not.

Today is Wednesday so of course it is Dishin With Tina and this week she was at The Mangy Moose in Manteca. No word on what her Mother's Day edition will be but if I find out I will let you know.

However what I do know Good Day is about to go Live or on Tape with tomorrows fun filled Lip Sync Show. All your favorites will be performing favorite songs by Lip Syncing. All this starts in the 6am hour so tune in at 430 / 5 when the fun really begins.

Looking Ahead to what's coming up on Good Day Sacramento:
Good Day Lip Sync Contest. The Crew battles in Lip Syncing your favorite song including Van Halen's Ice Cream Man.
