Opening Statement:
Today is the One Year Anniversary for Today in the News. It was on this date we first launched an idea from Good Day Sacramento's Cody Stark given to me while chatting with him. With his help and blessing as well as others at Good Day Sacramento Today in the News has gone from an idea to what is today. Many changes have been made and many more will be made. I write it for all of you as well as write for my own therapy but I love writing and keeping everyone up to date on the FUN that news can be but the seriousness news is. Leading off today's show Ken talked about California Chrome having his own Fan Club called Chromies. Marianne showed Cat Selfies from viewer Dan E. Marianne had her Daily List talking about Sunscreen mistakes. The 5am Club Member was introduced. The question of the day today was Good topic to talk about when working with someone new. Today's Show us yours topic was Breakfast. This weeks Sensational Senior with Ken was Cordova High School Baseball Coach Guy Anderson.
6am:
In this hour Amy was at Camera Guy Dave's home with Artist Alan Silva as he paints scenery onto Dave's fence. Cody was here on a Tuesday checking out Doughnut Addict in Folsom however Cody being on the diet did not try a donut but Camera Guy Scott did. Julissa had an App of the Week for AntiSocial called Split. Marianne had Daily Joe. Mark was in Lathrop for Breakfast in Bed with yet another family. Today's breakfast was served by Country Skillet in Manteca. Ken talked about California Chrome arriving at Preakness.
7am:
In this hour Breakfast in Bed continued with Mark. Cnet's Brian Cooley talked about Samsung getting into the drug business. Alan Silva continued to paint Dave's fence and dog Shadow was not looking to happy. Marianne talked with Beauty expert Kate De Ponte about creams and cleansers to rid allergies.
8am:
Cody really is working on a Tuesday. I have now watched 2 segments. This hour Cody was with Author James Rollins about his new book Kill Switch and his book signing tonight. Tina and Courtney learned how to give massages from Bryan College and Tina was putting it to the test this hour. Ken talked about California Chrome. Mark finished Breakfast in Bed. Marianne got more beauty/fashion tips from Kate De Ponte. Amy was still with Alan Silva painting Dave's fence. The #9amtopic was introduced talking about the Jay Z and Solange Knowles fight in the Elevator and today's question was Tell us about your Sibling Rivalry.
9am:
In the final hour of the show Laura and Julissa took us through the hour and today's #9amtopic. Julissa talked with Teresa from Sacramento Food Coop about healthy eating for kids and their event coming up Sunday. Tina and Courtney gave massages at Bel Air with Bryan College. Cambi was at a local school getting their workout in with Sami Kader of Sami Circuit. Amy was with Alan Silva as he revealed his painting at Dave's fence. Ken's Manly Minute talked about how guys get over losing the loved one they lost.The final question of the day was What's one thing you want to take off your mind. Cody continued to hangout with James Rollins.
Final Thoughts:
Each year KCRA/My58 hold a contest call A List. This is for local business to receive awards as voted by fans who think their business is the BEST. The business range from Salon and Spas. Gyms, Furniture stores and so much more. Today on My58 the list of winners were announced.
Fox40 today was a bit disturbing. Not them in general but one of their guest from Personal Dating Assistant. If you as a man are looking for a date why would you hire someone to respond for you? This was so disturbing to me. This company responds to interested dates so you don't have to. Suppose you go on said date and the 2 of you are talking about what they wrote but you don't agree or remember what was said. Then it puts you and her in a bad spot. I was so uncomfortable watching this I got chills thinking someone is acting to be who they are not. I know that happens all the time but it's a bit creepy to think your paying money for it.
Good Day Sacramento today had several topics to talk about. To start off Ken will be traveling to Maryland to provide coverage of California Chrome at The Preakness. Ken will start with reports Thursday when he lands and then continue all show Friday and Saturday.
Mark was in Lathrop serving breakfast in bed at the kitchen table to a viewers family dressed in his Spider-Man PJ. Today's breakfast was provided by Country Skillet in Manteca and it was French toast and bacon.
During the week Tina and Courtney learned how and what it takes to become Massage Therapist from Bryan College. Today the 2 ladies put their skills to the test for Bel Air Grocery Store customers.
Alan Silva has painted many GREAT works of Art including Amy as part of a candy store. Today Amy put him to another test having him paint Camera guy Dave's fence to make it look like an extension to his backyard. In about 3 1/2 hours Alan created yet another masterpiece. What a GREAT artist Alan is and I love seeing his work.
Today is Tuesday so Cody is back. Wait what? Cody was back to make it feel like Wednesday but knowing it's not I was still getting confused. Anyway it's always great to see Cody regardless of what day it is and today they sent him to Doughnut Addicts to check out their creations knowing Cody is on a diet and his will power would be greatly challenged. I'm proud to say Cody ate no donuts and no one was harmed as far when the camera was on. Cody then went to visit one of if not his FAVORITE author James Rollins who has a new book out today and having a book signing tonight in Roseville at Barnes and Noble. Cody might have deleted pages to James new book but that is unconfirmed. Oh wait TMZ has photo evidence. However this could be doctored or is it?
Tomorrow is another milestone. Not so much for Today in the News but for me? 5 years ago I should've been dead but I was given a new lease on life in September of 2009 so that I can become healthy and celebrate my 45th year of life. Yes I am celebrating my birthday. Plus tomorrow is Wednesday so Tina is Dishin With Tina and so much more.

Leading off today's show Ken talked about California Chrome having his own Fan Club called Chromies. Marianne showed Cat Selfies from viewer Dan E. Marianne had her Daily List talking about Sunscreen mistakes. The 5am Club Member was introduced. The question of the day today was Good topic to talk about when working with someone new. Today's Show us yours topic was Breakfast. This weeks Sensational Senior with Ken was Cordova High School Baseball Coach Guy Anderson.
6am:
In this hour Amy was at Camera Guy Dave's home with Artist Alan Silva as he paints scenery onto Dave's fence. Cody was here on a Tuesday checking out Doughnut Addict in Folsom however Cody being on the diet did not try a donut but Camera Guy Scott did. Julissa had an App of the Week for AntiSocial called Split. Marianne had Daily Joe. Mark was in Lathrop for Breakfast in Bed with yet another family. Today's breakfast was served by Country Skillet in Manteca. Ken talked about California Chrome arriving at Preakness.
7am:
In this hour Breakfast in Bed continued with Mark. Cnet's Brian Cooley talked about Samsung getting into the drug business. Alan Silva continued to paint Dave's fence and dog Shadow was not looking to happy. Marianne talked with Beauty expert Kate De Ponte about creams and cleansers to rid allergies.
8am:
Cody really is working on a Tuesday. I have now watched 2 segments. This hour Cody was with Author James Rollins about his new book Kill Switch and his book signing tonight. Tina and Courtney learned how to give massages from Bryan College and Tina was putting it to the test this hour. Ken talked about California Chrome. Mark finished Breakfast in Bed. Marianne got more beauty/fashion tips from Kate De Ponte. Amy was still with Alan Silva painting Dave's fence. The #9amtopic was introduced talking about the Jay Z and Solange Knowles fight in the Elevator and today's question was Tell us about your Sibling Rivalry.
9am:
In the final hour of the show Laura and Julissa took us through the hour and today's #9amtopic. Julissa talked with Teresa from Sacramento Food Coop about healthy eating for kids and their event coming up Sunday. Tina and Courtney gave massages at Bel Air with Bryan College. Cambi was at a local school getting their workout in with Sami Kader of Sami Circuit. Amy was with Alan Silva as he revealed his painting at Dave's fence. Ken's Manly Minute talked about how guys get over losing the loved one they lost.The final question of the day was What's one thing you want to take off your mind. Cody continued to hangout with James Rollins.
Final Thoughts:
Each year KCRA/My58 hold a contest call A List. This is for local business to receive awards as voted by fans who think their business is the BEST. The business range from Salon and Spas. Gyms, Furniture stores and so much more. Today on My58 the list of winners were announced.
Fox40 today was a bit disturbing. Not them in general but one of their guest from Personal Dating Assistant. If you as a man are looking for a date why would you hire someone to respond for you? This was so disturbing to me. This company responds to interested dates so you don't have to. Suppose you go on said date and the 2 of you are talking about what they wrote but you don't agree or remember what was said. Then it puts you and her in a bad spot. I was so uncomfortable watching this I got chills thinking someone is acting to be who they are not. I know that happens all the time but it's a bit creepy to think your paying money for it.
Good Day Sacramento today had several topics to talk about. To start off Ken will be traveling to Maryland to provide coverage of California Chrome at The Preakness. Ken will start with reports Thursday when he lands and then continue all show Friday and Saturday.
Mark was in Lathrop serving breakfast in bed at the kitchen table to a viewers family dressed in his Spider-Man PJ. Today's breakfast was provided by Country Skillet in Manteca and it was French toast and bacon.
During the week Tina and Courtney learned how and what it takes to become Massage Therapist from Bryan College. Today the 2 ladies put their skills to the test for Bel Air Grocery Store customers.
Alan Silva has painted many GREAT works of Art including Amy as part of a candy store. Today Amy put him to another test having him paint Camera guy Dave's fence to make it look like an extension to his backyard. In about 3 1/2 hours Alan created yet another masterpiece. What a GREAT artist Alan is and I love seeing his work.
Today is Tuesday so Cody is back. Wait what? Cody was back to make it feel like Wednesday but knowing it's not I was still getting confused. Anyway it's always great to see Cody regardless of what day it is and today they sent him to Doughnut Addicts to check out their creations knowing Cody is on a diet and his will power would be greatly challenged. I'm proud to say Cody ate no donuts and no one was harmed as far when the camera was on. Cody then went to visit one of if not his FAVORITE author James Rollins who has a new book out today and having a book signing tonight in Roseville at Barnes and Noble. Cody might have deleted pages to James new book but that is unconfirmed. Oh wait TMZ has photo evidence. However this could be doctored or is it?
Tomorrow is another milestone. Not so much for Today in the News but for me? 5 years ago I should've been dead but I was given a new lease on life in September of 2009 so that I can become healthy and celebrate my 45th year of life. Yes I am celebrating my birthday. Plus tomorrow is Wednesday so Tina is Dishin With Tina and so much more.
