Opening Statement:
CALIFORNIA CHROME HAS WON THE PREAKNESS!!!! Now that he has 2 of 3 races towards winning the Triple Crown it is time to release the people of Cody to get Ken to The Belmont Stakes June 7. Until this happens I will be using #Ken2Belmont. Thanks to Cody for help with this #. I would like to see both Ken and Camera Guy Dave go again. I think Ken did an excellent job getting interviews with the big boys from the sport because Ken has been in that circle. I have said it before and will say it again months before the Kentucky Derby Ken said to watch for California Chrome. Well he won the Derby and some didn't think he could repeat his impressive win. Preakness taken down by (CC). Next Stop Triple Crown stop at Belmont Stakes. I have watched more horse racing in 2 weeks than I have watched in a life time. I am super excited now to see if (CC) can do it. I think he can. I also think it's time to find out what else is taking place Today in the News Part 2......

Leading off this hour Nina was at an Antique show so today's Show us your topic was Antique. Melissa was in Yuba City checking out what was for breakfast at Lumberjacks. Cody and Amy talked to Colin Furse who created his own wolverine claws. Cambi was on the farm checking out plants and pigs. Eleanor had all the juicy gossip including Jessica Simpson getting married July 4th. Today's #GDSJustCurious Question was Favorite Cartoon I still enjoy.
8am:
In this hour The Plant Lady aka Marlene answered viewer questions. Viewer Joyce brought in some awesome looking pies to the crew to try except Cody who can't. She makes pies for 2 Elk Grove restaurants Cassidy's and Stagecoach. Melissa was at Lumberjacks talking about California Chrome. Cambi was learning to cook fresh food on the farm in Rancho Cordova. Nina was finding more antique items including a coke cola bottle machine. Today is Sunday so Tina is Dishin With Tina at Surla's in Modesto.
9am:
In this hour Music by Derek performed 2 songs on the Good Day Stage. The Plant Lady answered viewers questions. Cambi was in Sacramento checking out custom bikes and more at Cycle fest. Melissa headed to the town of Sutter to talk to people at the Rodeo about Roping and California Chrome. Nina was at Danoc Manufacturing wearing a t-shirt of Cody and Amy wearing a t-shirt of Nina wearing a t-shirt of them wearing a t-shirt of her. WHAT?
10am:
In the final hour of the weekend.Music by Derek performed another song and then at the end of the show performed with Cody the Soft Kitty Song. WOW!! Cody can sing. He looked like a professional up there. :). Cambi was at the Pacific Rim Festival in Old Sac checking out all things Pacific Islander including McDonald's Shakin Fries, What? Nina was the Pinball Wizard as she headed to Dixon for Pin A Go Go. The Plant lady showed Amy some man eating plants. Lori had Hot Headlines including Gwen Stefani in s Prom Dress. Melissa was in Sutter for the Rodeo talking California Chrome. Cody talked to two woman Rudy and Heidi about In the Parlor: The Final Goodbye.
Final Thoughts:
Today's show was very farm fresh, plant based and loads of fun. Cambi was in Rancho Cordova for A Day at the Farm learning all things plants and how to cook fresh food from plants. Cambi also was checking out the Pacific Rim in Old Sac where everything is based on Pacific Islanders from Food, dress, and McDonald's Fries? Say What? This started in Japan and has now made its way to California and Sacramento is a test market for them. Based on the 20 minute wait time in line to get them I think it could be here for awhile
Nina was checking out old antiques including military items which peaked my interest being a Toy Soldier Collector and then for the Second shot an old Coke Cola machine. These items are all pretty cool. Nina then did the T-shirt thing which was just kind of silly but it did spotlight Danoc Manufacturing and their awesome work on Custom T's. Nina then became today's Pinball Wizard checking out the Pin A Go Go and they even have Sunday School at the event where they will teach you how to play Pinball like the Pinball Wizard.
Marlene the Plant Lady was in answering viewer questions and then showing Amy Man Eating plants including the one she clipped onto Amy's ear. Amy also talked with Joyce the local pie maker who's pies looked amazing and you can order from her or get a slice at Cassidy's and Stagecoach in Elk Grove.
Eleanor was in the Building today and that must mean it was Ask Eleanor Day as she gave all the juicy gossip that included Kim K's wedding moving from France to Italy. Oh the problems they must have.
California Chrome is on his way to get the triple crown however he may not run if he can't use his Breathe Right type nasal accessory. Ken will have more on this later I am guessing but Belmont does not allow that type of equipment therefore California Chrome may not run but I think he will. Nonetheless Melissa was in Yuba City and Sutter getting fan reaction from the Rodeo and Lumberjack Restaurant where she also found out what was for breakfast.
Soft Kitty Challenge was BACK!!!! Music By Derek Thomas and band where in studio and they performed 3 songs and did not disappoint on the 3 songs they performed prior to taking the famous Soft Kitty challenge. This jazz inspired band sounds every bit as advertised sounding like Michael Bublé and a Harry Connick Jr mix. I hope this band plays at the California Music Festival at the end of the month over Memorial Day weekend.
Cody is king of the bookers with Kevin being his young prodigy with the booking of Colin Furze the creator of the wolverine claw. Cody also talked with the creators of a new film documentary called Parlor The Final Goodbye where it talks about a very serious and necessary topic of death. Today is also the first of two new segments from Tina with her Dishin With Tina. Today she took us to Surla's in Modesto. They specialize in California cuisine and the food looked amazing.
Great show today and another fun one at that. We now turn the controls back over to Marianne, Ken and the rest of the Good Day Sacramento crew with a lot to look forward to including Mark going to surf camp and more.

Pin-a-Go-Go is an annual pinball event put on by pinball enthusiasts from all over Northern California as a benefit for local youth charities like the Dixon Teen Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Vacaville.

Leading off this hour Nina was at an Antique show so today's Show us your topic was Antique. Melissa was in Yuba City checking out what was for breakfast at Lumberjacks. Cody and Amy talked to Colin Furse who created his own wolverine claws. Cambi was on the farm checking out plants and pigs. Eleanor had all the juicy gossip including Jessica Simpson getting married July 4th. Today's #GDSJustCurious Question was Favorite Cartoon I still enjoy.
8am:
In this hour The Plant Lady aka Marlene answered viewer questions. Viewer Joyce brought in some awesome looking pies to the crew to try except Cody who can't. She makes pies for 2 Elk Grove restaurants Cassidy's and Stagecoach. Melissa was at Lumberjacks talking about California Chrome. Cambi was learning to cook fresh food on the farm in Rancho Cordova. Nina was finding more antique items including a coke cola bottle machine. Today is Sunday so Tina is Dishin With Tina at Surla's in Modesto.
9am:
In this hour Music by Derek performed 2 songs on the Good Day Stage. The Plant Lady answered viewers questions. Cambi was in Sacramento checking out custom bikes and more at Cycle fest. Melissa headed to the town of Sutter to talk to people at the Rodeo about Roping and California Chrome. Nina was at Danoc Manufacturing wearing a t-shirt of Cody and Amy wearing a t-shirt of Nina wearing a t-shirt of them wearing a t-shirt of her. WHAT?
10am:
In the final hour of the weekend.Music by Derek performed another song and then at the end of the show performed with Cody the Soft Kitty Song. WOW!! Cody can sing. He looked like a professional up there. :). Cambi was at the Pacific Rim Festival in Old Sac checking out all things Pacific Islander including McDonald's Shakin Fries, What? Nina was the Pinball Wizard as she headed to Dixon for Pin A Go Go. The Plant lady showed Amy some man eating plants. Lori had Hot Headlines including Gwen Stefani in s Prom Dress. Melissa was in Sutter for the Rodeo talking California Chrome. Cody talked to two woman Rudy and Heidi about In the Parlor: The Final Goodbye.
Final Thoughts:
Today's show was very farm fresh, plant based and loads of fun. Cambi was in Rancho Cordova for A Day at the Farm learning all things plants and how to cook fresh food from plants. Cambi also was checking out the Pacific Rim in Old Sac where everything is based on Pacific Islanders from Food, dress, and McDonald's Fries? Say What? This started in Japan and has now made its way to California and Sacramento is a test market for them. Based on the 20 minute wait time in line to get them I think it could be here for awhile
Nina was checking out old antiques including military items which peaked my interest being a Toy Soldier Collector and then for the Second shot an old Coke Cola machine. These items are all pretty cool. Nina then did the T-shirt thing which was just kind of silly but it did spotlight Danoc Manufacturing and their awesome work on Custom T's. Nina then became today's Pinball Wizard checking out the Pin A Go Go and they even have Sunday School at the event where they will teach you how to play Pinball like the Pinball Wizard.
Marlene the Plant Lady was in answering viewer questions and then showing Amy Man Eating plants including the one she clipped onto Amy's ear. Amy also talked with Joyce the local pie maker who's pies looked amazing and you can order from her or get a slice at Cassidy's and Stagecoach in Elk Grove.
Eleanor was in the Building today and that must mean it was Ask Eleanor Day as she gave all the juicy gossip that included Kim K's wedding moving from France to Italy. Oh the problems they must have.
California Chrome is on his way to get the triple crown however he may not run if he can't use his Breathe Right type nasal accessory. Ken will have more on this later I am guessing but Belmont does not allow that type of equipment therefore California Chrome may not run but I think he will. Nonetheless Melissa was in Yuba City and Sutter getting fan reaction from the Rodeo and Lumberjack Restaurant where she also found out what was for breakfast.
Soft Kitty Challenge was BACK!!!! Music By Derek Thomas and band where in studio and they performed 3 songs and did not disappoint on the 3 songs they performed prior to taking the famous Soft Kitty challenge. This jazz inspired band sounds every bit as advertised sounding like Michael Bublé and a Harry Connick Jr mix. I hope this band plays at the California Music Festival at the end of the month over Memorial Day weekend.
Cody is king of the bookers with Kevin being his young prodigy with the booking of Colin Furze the creator of the wolverine claw. Cody also talked with the creators of a new film documentary called Parlor The Final Goodbye where it talks about a very serious and necessary topic of death. Today is also the first of two new segments from Tina with her Dishin With Tina. Today she took us to Surla's in Modesto. They specialize in California cuisine and the food looked amazing.
Great show today and another fun one at that. We now turn the controls back over to Marianne, Ken and the rest of the Good Day Sacramento crew with a lot to look forward to including Mark going to surf camp and more.
