Opening Statement:
I most likely will never be a parent but I know for a fact I will always be an uncle. Last night around 845pm the phone rang and it was my niece calling from Oregon State University to inform me that while having dinner a bomb threat was called in to the campus evacuating each 11 dorms. GREAT! Now I get to worry about that. However, about an hour later she text me with the all clear which made me happy but that didn't mean I wasn't worried for that hour or so time.

Today's Good Day kicked off with fun first thing. Well the story leading up to the Show and Tell wasn't fun at first when Ken's son Malcolm had a peanut stuck in his nose but they got it out and in true Show and Tell fashion Ken kept the peanut to show. The Good Day crew is bowling today and first time out Tina hit a strike and then a spare against Mark S. Allen who also got a strike in one of his tries. Marianne had her daily list how to ward off Mosquitoes including using Garlic. Today's Question of the day was Favorite Bowling memory. The 5am Club member was introduced and today's Show us your topic today is Bowling.
6am:
In this hour Breaking News lead the way first pictures from the Washington blast started coming in which has a debris field 5 miles long. Then the other BREAKING Story was a 3 alarm fire in 2 Victorian Style homes in Sacramento. Also in this hour Ken talked to former Raider Tim Brown about his Kids Camp that he teams up with CHP for. Tim is deserving of a Hall of Fame call but I will have more in Final Thoughts.
7am:
In this hour to Melissa was Beating the Bloat at Cal Fit Gym in Folsom, Mark was in Lodi checking out Military vehicles old and new. Julissa took on Melissa and Melissa won the bowling 13-12. Laura took her turn as she takes on Marianne. Sadly today is Producer Alicia's last day as she heads off to Cache Creek Casino to take over their Social Media. More on one of the BEST Producers in Final Thoughts. Cody and Ken talked to Yoga Expert Camreon about her new book and book signing. Melissa was beating the bloat at California Family Fitness getting tips on foods that cause bloating.
8am:
This was a very busy hour with the Bowling tournament continuing with Marianne, Lori, and Cody all taking their turns. Ken and Courtney talked with Sonja from Salvation Army talking about kids making video games. Also Ken and Courtney talked with LaVell Crawford who is appearing at Tommy T's Now - Sunday. Mark continued in Lodi at the Military Camp. Ken and Courtney also talked to Greg Kinnear about his movie Heaven is For Real in theaters now.
9am:
In this final hour of the show for the week the Good Day Bowl continued with Ken and Courtney taking their turns and Ken was the top bowler of 20 pins followed by Cody and Tina with 19. Courtney was last. Mark continued from Military camp in Lodi plus talked The Other Woman in theaters today and he revealed that his daughter Madison will be jumping from a plane on Monday for her 18th birthday. Tina was at the Sacramento Food Bank with Debi Kennedy for the 2nd Annual Garden Day. Julissa and Laura guided us through the #9amtopic and the Bowling tournament. Melissa was in Folsom checking out the Princess Academy. The teams for the Bowling tournament consisted of Team A:Lori, Ju, Courtney, Mark Marianne. Team B. Tina, Ken Cody, Laura, Melissa Team B was the clear winner winning 121 - 73. The Dance party song today did not register on Shazam so it is known as Unknown but nonetheless with help from Petri Hawkins Byrd we danced into the weekend but more on that in Final Thoughts.
Final Thoughts:
Today on Fox40 Thunder Valley was on the patio cooking Ribs and Seafood. Trentino will be appearing at Harlows this weekend. He is a top DJ that travels the country.
Good Day Sacramento loves games and today it was time for the ultimate Good Day Challenge when 10 members battled head to head and in teams to see who was the better bowler. The head to head match ups consisted of Cody Vs Lori, Mark Vs. Tina. Ken Vs. Courtney. Julissa Vs. Melissa. and Marianne Vs Laura. It started off by Tina who was quite the bowler in her day getting a strike against Mark but Mark would come back with one of his own. Mark scored 13 while Tina scored 19. Julissa and Melissa tied at 12 and then it was time for Marianne and Laura Marianne won but not by much. Lori did not have enough to beat the Alabama Kid Cody after he picked up a strike and a spare. Ken was too much for Courtney with 2 strikes of his own. The total for the teams had Team B taking down Team A 121 - 73 in this first ever Good Day Bowling Tournament. Plus they all had cool shirts from Danoc.
The other cool segment today was Tim Brown in Studio to talk about his Football camp for kids. I am not a Raider Fan but I am a fan of the game and this is one former NFL Player who deserves a bust in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Let's do the right thing next year and make that happen.
Today the morning news business as well as entertainment business said goodbye to one of the BEST Producers in the Business. Like many Alicia started out on the weekend show producing the 8, 9, or 10 am hours which is where I first got to know about her. Alicia quickly climbed into a Executive Producer roll for the Nationally Syndicated Mark at the Movies that can be seen on Reelzchannel, CW, and AFN where she was a part of the shows 3 Emmy wins. Alicia stepped out of the booth over the summer of 2013 to interview the cast of The Conjuring who hates scary movies. She continued to produce the BEST morning show in my opinion up until today when she announced she took a new position to handle the Social Media for Cache Creek Casino. Alicia is one producer I was never able to meet in person because she was always so busy. Alicia does have a heart of gold and a personality to match and will be missed. She is and always will be a part of the Good Day Sacramento family. Good Luck Alicia and you always have my respect and I appreciate all you've done for me in your time at both Good Day Sacramento and Mark at the Movies.

Today's Good Day kicked off with fun first thing. Well the story leading up to the Show and Tell wasn't fun at first when Ken's son Malcolm had a peanut stuck in his nose but they got it out and in true Show and Tell fashion Ken kept the peanut to show. The Good Day crew is bowling today and first time out Tina hit a strike and then a spare against Mark S. Allen who also got a strike in one of his tries. Marianne had her daily list how to ward off Mosquitoes including using Garlic. Today's Question of the day was Favorite Bowling memory. The 5am Club member was introduced and today's Show us your topic today is Bowling.
6am:
In this hour Breaking News lead the way first pictures from the Washington blast started coming in which has a debris field 5 miles long. Then the other BREAKING Story was a 3 alarm fire in 2 Victorian Style homes in Sacramento. Also in this hour Ken talked to former Raider Tim Brown about his Kids Camp that he teams up with CHP for. Tim is deserving of a Hall of Fame call but I will have more in Final Thoughts.
7am:
In this hour to Melissa was Beating the Bloat at Cal Fit Gym in Folsom, Mark was in Lodi checking out Military vehicles old and new. Julissa took on Melissa and Melissa won the bowling 13-12. Laura took her turn as she takes on Marianne. Sadly today is Producer Alicia's last day as she heads off to Cache Creek Casino to take over their Social Media. More on one of the BEST Producers in Final Thoughts. Cody and Ken talked to Yoga Expert Camreon about her new book and book signing. Melissa was beating the bloat at California Family Fitness getting tips on foods that cause bloating.
8am:
This was a very busy hour with the Bowling tournament continuing with Marianne, Lori, and Cody all taking their turns. Ken and Courtney talked with Sonja from Salvation Army talking about kids making video games. Also Ken and Courtney talked with LaVell Crawford who is appearing at Tommy T's Now - Sunday. Mark continued in Lodi at the Military Camp. Ken and Courtney also talked to Greg Kinnear about his movie Heaven is For Real in theaters now.
9am:
In this final hour of the show for the week the Good Day Bowl continued with Ken and Courtney taking their turns and Ken was the top bowler of 20 pins followed by Cody and Tina with 19. Courtney was last. Mark continued from Military camp in Lodi plus talked The Other Woman in theaters today and he revealed that his daughter Madison will be jumping from a plane on Monday for her 18th birthday. Tina was at the Sacramento Food Bank with Debi Kennedy for the 2nd Annual Garden Day. Julissa and Laura guided us through the #9amtopic and the Bowling tournament. Melissa was in Folsom checking out the Princess Academy. The teams for the Bowling tournament consisted of Team A:Lori, Ju, Courtney, Mark Marianne. Team B. Tina, Ken Cody, Laura, Melissa Team B was the clear winner winning 121 - 73. The Dance party song today did not register on Shazam so it is known as Unknown but nonetheless with help from Petri Hawkins Byrd we danced into the weekend but more on that in Final Thoughts.
Final Thoughts:
Today on Fox40 Thunder Valley was on the patio cooking Ribs and Seafood. Trentino will be appearing at Harlows this weekend. He is a top DJ that travels the country.
Good Day Sacramento loves games and today it was time for the ultimate Good Day Challenge when 10 members battled head to head and in teams to see who was the better bowler. The head to head match ups consisted of Cody Vs Lori, Mark Vs. Tina. Ken Vs. Courtney. Julissa Vs. Melissa. and Marianne Vs Laura. It started off by Tina who was quite the bowler in her day getting a strike against Mark but Mark would come back with one of his own. Mark scored 13 while Tina scored 19. Julissa and Melissa tied at 12 and then it was time for Marianne and Laura Marianne won but not by much. Lori did not have enough to beat the Alabama Kid Cody after he picked up a strike and a spare. Ken was too much for Courtney with 2 strikes of his own. The total for the teams had Team B taking down Team A 121 - 73 in this first ever Good Day Bowling Tournament. Plus they all had cool shirts from Danoc.
The other cool segment today was Tim Brown in Studio to talk about his Football camp for kids. I am not a Raider Fan but I am a fan of the game and this is one former NFL Player who deserves a bust in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Let's do the right thing next year and make that happen.
Today the morning news business as well as entertainment business said goodbye to one of the BEST Producers in the Business. Like many Alicia started out on the weekend show producing the 8, 9, or 10 am hours which is where I first got to know about her. Alicia quickly climbed into a Executive Producer roll for the Nationally Syndicated Mark at the Movies that can be seen on Reelzchannel, CW, and AFN where she was a part of the shows 3 Emmy wins. Alicia stepped out of the booth over the summer of 2013 to interview the cast of The Conjuring who hates scary movies. She continued to produce the BEST morning show in my opinion up until today when she announced she took a new position to handle the Social Media for Cache Creek Casino. Alicia is one producer I was never able to meet in person because she was always so busy. Alicia does have a heart of gold and a personality to match and will be missed. She is and always will be a part of the Good Day Sacramento family. Good Luck Alicia and you always have my respect and I appreciate all you've done for me in your time at both Good Day Sacramento and Mark at the Movies.
We now danced into the weekend and turn the controls over to Cody and Amy for the weekend. So Cody, Amy lets do this....
