Passionate Plea.... Today in the News 4/21/2014:

Opening Statement:
I want to first apologize for today's opening statement. I have been sitting on it for a few days because I didn't want to be negative to end the week or over the weekend but I feel like the topic needs to be discussed and I realize it is only my opinion but it's because I care so deeply and it ties into Fix 50 that starts on Tuesday.

Over the course of 3 days Thursday - Saturday 3 kids lost their life. Thursday started it off when a 4 year old was killed along I-80, On Friday a 3 year old was killed on HWY 99 and Saturday a 14 year old was killed in Manteca. In the first 2 accidents the 3 and 4 year old both had one thing in common. They were not buckled or strapped in a car seat. I worked in Foster Care for 3 years and the last year and half I transported kids to and from appointments. I had to learn to place children in car seats plus take a class on how to properly install a car seat into my car and perform safety checks on each car seat we had or ones I used. WHY IN THE H*** did these parents not take actions to protect their kids. You can't predict accidents unless you are trying to cause them 2 innocent kids never got to celebrate Easter yesterday because of irresponsible adults. This makes me very mad PARENTS YOU MUST PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN!!!

The third accident of the weekend was a 19 year old girl mowing down a 14 year old because she felt her cell phone was more important than paying attention to her driving. STOP WITH YOUR CELL PHONES WHILE DRIVING!!!!

These 3 incidents bring me to this. Tuesday starts Fix 50 in Sacramento. Remember traffic will be bad and roads will be tight and patients will be thin. Please pay attention to the cars on the side of you, in front of you, behind you and the workers inside the Cone Zone. PLEASE lets not have anymore lives lost because of stupidity.

Thank you for letting me get this out and now for what is taking place Today in the News....

Quick Thought:
My58L Fix 50 David Garibaldi

Fox40 Asked a vet, Had Vet Chefs in the Kitchen and Don't be that guy

Good Day Serves Breakfast in Bed, Donut Corsages, Juice Yoga and HELPED AARON

All this and more in Today in the News...

Recap:

My58:
Today on My58 the BEST stories were them talking about Fix50 and David Garibaldi was in Studio to talk about his appearance at The Crest Theater April 24 at 8pm

Fox40:
Today on Fox40 They talked about Lyme disease in your pets for Ask a Vet. Got Motivation from Mama Bootcamp to workout outside and bike safety. Had Air Force vets in the kitchen and are trying to get a food truck to help other vets who can't get out. Plus they talked Fix 50.

Good Day Sacramento:
430/5am:
Kicking off the Monday show in Show and Tell Ken got together with his old friends. Courtney celebrated daughter Mariah's birthday and for the first time since giving up potatoes for lent Courtney at French Fries. Marianne was off today so no Daily List today. Mark was serving Breakfast in Bed to viewer Stephanie Hernandez with help from Evan's Kitchen. Mark is dressed in Spider Man PJ's. The question of the was asked Who is your dream prom date and the 5am Club Member was introduced. Today's Show us your topic was Easter Basket.

6am:
Mark surprised the husband for Breakfast in Bed when he got into bed with him and they got to know each other all a little better. Melissa is back from her mini vacation and today she is juicing at Peel'd. We learned Ginger is a very important part of your diet.

7am:
Atticus is a 6 year old Stockton boy who reported live the the Children's Museum in Stockton today. Mark continued from Breakfast in Bed. Melissa drank healthy juice while doing yoga and Cambi was with Accents by Sage talking edible corsages. This might have been one of the weirdest hours I've seen let alone a Hamburger and Fries corsage.

8am:
In this hour Guest Kevin explained to Amy and Ken how to play and where to play in the Pétanque Tournament. Also in this hour Atticus was back with more from the Children's Museum in Stockton. Cambi looked at more odd corsages including a taco corsage Amy loved. Courtney had a new Masque made by stars that is made of 100% Court's tunes where played. The 9amtopic was introduced today's topic Should parents have a dress code to pick up/drop off kids at school. Finally this hour Mark introduced us to Aaron. Aaron needs a wheelchair and fan to get around because he doesn't have arms or legs. Aaron is trying to win a new van to help his family and you can help too by going to the link above and voting for Aaron.

9am:
In this hour with Julissa, Laura, Marianne all off Amy and Ken guided us through the hour and today's #9amtopic. In addition to that Ken talked with Sacramento Kings Forward Jason Thompson about his Basketball Camp coming up in June which also led into the Manly Minute with cool camps for adults as well as kids. Melissa was with a local woman who made custom jewelry and Ken and Amy also talked more with Kevin from the Petanque tournament in Mather, CA. Mark also continued with Aaron encouraging us all to vote for him to get a new van for his family. Courtney hung out with Boy Scouts in the studio which made her pose the final question of the day What group did you belong to as a kid.

Final Thoughts:
EVERYONE IN SACRAMENTO FIX 50 STARTS TOMORROW!!!! Please pay attention to your favorite news station for more details.

My58 had Elk Grove Native David Garibaldi on today to talk about his event at the Crest Theater April 24.

Fox40 today talked about 2 local Air Force Vets trying to get a food truck to reach other vets who may not be able to get out. This is a pretty cool idea. I hope it works for them. They also talked about smokers who like to blow their smoke in the direction of non smokers. - Don't be that Guy. It's always a Monday with Motivational Monday getting tips on how to workout outside as well as Bike tips.

Today on. Good Day Mark helped launch a new segment called Good Day Sacramento Bed and Breakfast. While I like the name I wasn't completely comfortable with the idea. One thing I have always loved about the show was Breakfast at your place. This has the same idea but rather than having Mark show up looking for someone they had the Hernandez family email in. This is not the issue I have because I like that idea. The issue is Mark being in bed with them. That made me uncomfortable because I care about Mark I don't want any false accusations made either so I say yes keep it that way but have Mark serve the people breakfast in bed rather than get into bed. I do like that Chef Evan from Evan's Kitchen was a part of this new segment serving delicious food.

How weird is food on your girls arm? Very right, so why would you want a hamburger, fries or a taco corsage? Do you get a shake with that? Can you get another corsage that squirts hot sauce on your taco? According to Amy sales are up at KFC for the chicken one? Hmm? Okay.

Good Day Sacramento felt odd today with no Julissa, Laura or Marianne not that the crew they had didn't do a good job because they did awesome but I just felt like something was missing.

However not missing was Melissa making us all laugh when she did juicing yoga from Veera Yoga and Peel'd this morning.

I wasn't sure about young Atticus from the Stockton Children's Museum but quickly warmed up to this cute 6 year old boy telling us what was what there.

Didn't Bill Cosby play Pétanque on the Cosby Show? I had no clue what this game was until today.

In Ken's Manly Minute today he talked about cool camps. One is a wine camp in Napa perhaps that is what Julissa is doing. The other camp is for kids and that is from Kings Forward Jason Thompson that is holding his at the end of June.

I am a very passionate person. When I believe in something I push hard for it. Today we met an amazing Carmichael 4th grader who is in a wheelchair because he doesn't have arms or legs. However he does not let that get in the way because he still performs in the arts and has fun with his friends. Mark introduced us to Aaron because he is trying to win a new van for his family to help transport him. They have a van but its in really bad shape. All you have to do is follow the link to vote for Aaron. You can vote 2 times a day. Please help this cool kid out.
http://www.mobilityawarenessmonth.com/entrant/aaron-negrete-sacramento-ca/

The other thing I am very passionate about is getting 100,000 likes on the Good Day Sacramento Facebook page. PLEASE HELP get to 100,000 before 9pm Monday by sharing this page.https://www.facebook.com/GoodDaySacramento Yes, I know I am very passionate about this but you have no idea how much I care about this show and all the people associated with it. Mark S. Allen Cody StarkTina Macuha Courtney Dempsey Kenneth Rudulph Audrey Asistio Lori Wallace Amy Melissa Sean Laura Julissa Cambi Brown Nina Hajian Kevin Hernandez Eleanor Larson Marianne Julian Lang Tessa Outhyse Corey Sam SAP Morgan Alicia Bailee everyone that you don't see like Don Smith Mike Mechanick and so many more. I love them like family and I will fight with them and for them like family. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me and all of them at the GREATEST Show on TV reach 100,000 on Facebook Share with friends, coworkers, neighbors, pets whomever you can. PLEASE! It's all I am asking. At the time of this writing they have 99,574

Finally one story that didn't make it today on Good Day was
