Fix 50 has begun and today Lori was in studio taking care of weather and Courtney was in studio covering traffic and how to get around the fix. Marianne was at the Traffic Center in Sacramento showing how they can control stop lights to increase the flow of traffic. This was fascinating. to watch. Now if they could just fix the one at my street so I am not sitting there for 8 minutes. The 5am Club member was introduced and Marianne had her Daily List with things you can do to help ease the pain of being stuck in traffic like playing a New Car game while in traffic. The show us your topic today was show us your Zen face.
6am:
Fix 50 traffic worsens but Good Day has complete coverage with reporters all over. Amy showed you foods that will help keep you calm in traffic including her favorite Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Mark is ridin the rails on Light Rail to show a different way to get around Fix 50
7am:
Fix 50 traffic nightmare continues with Tina in traffic taking 25-30 minutes to go just 5 miles. But luckily Julissa was back for a App of the Week for Fix 50. She also showed another app that is fun to show old pictures. Mark continued on Light Rail however ridership seemed very light. Though Good Day has not hit 100,000 likes on Facebook Ken put the hard hat on. Amy gave more foods that will help with stress while driving. Sharon from CNet talked to Ken about another app that can help you track your car called Dash.
8am:
In this hour it's official Fix 50 Traffic SUCKS! Mark continues from Light Rail. Amy was in Elk Grove checking out a new recycle center. Court's tunes was played. Ken talked to TV Legend Alan Thicke about his new show. Today's #9amtopic was introduced A Yale Student was told she was too skinny to attend the school Should Weight Matter?

GOOD DAY HITS 100,000 likes on Facebook. Tina made it back to the studio from the Fix 50 nightmare traffic and talked to a doctor about Hepatitis C. Laura is off today so Julissa and Lori guided us through the hour and in addition to what we already talked about the crew had a hard hat fashion show. Julissa had Trending Topics. Ken's Manly Minute was about things men don't notice on woman. I wasn't sure where he was going with this but I admit he brought things up that I wouldn't have guessed, however I have been trained by my friends to look for things like Highlights in hair, new shoes, and cellulite. Mark got off the Light Rail Train at Karen's Bakery in Folsom. Tina's final question of the day was What stands out to you when you look at someone.
Final Thoughts:
Today is the start of Fix 50 and Good Day was all over it. Yes they had Wall to Wall coverage as expected they would however they made it fun and not so newsy while reporting the news. I give PROPS to all of them at Good Day for their Fix 50 coverage. Will they continue with so much coverage as they days go by? No I don't think so but will they will break from normal format if events warrant that. However they will talk about it in news and traffic each day.
I loved Marianne from the Traffic Center showing how they control the lights on our streets as well as how they Flush Sunrise Blvd.
In other news of the day and this is BIGGER to me than Fix 50. GOOD DAY HIT 100,000 likes on Facebook. I have been pushing this for weeks, months, and days and I can finally say Thank you to everyone for liking this GREAT Show. Now I will take a break from pushing Facebook until I start my new campaign.
