Opening Statement:
Today is National Record Store Day. I was trying to think as a kid how I got records and I really can't remember going to stores to buy them but I know we had them. The first record I had was Kiss Destroyer and I got that from my Aunt. I do remember joining Columbia Music Club to order 8 tracks at first and then CD's. My very first 8 track I owned was the Village People YMCA and my first Cassette I owned I think it was Footloose the Movie Soundtrack and my first CD might have been Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet but today is about the store itself and I remember going to Tower Records, Warehouse and the mall to get my music and now we just go to our phone, Ipad, tablets or laptop. How the music world has changed over the years is pretty amazing.

7am:
In this hour this weeks Skype interview came from Zoltan Istvan of Transhumanist Wager who joined to talk about his new book and his FREE offer on Kindle. Cody and Amy also talked about a Stockton Estate sale that includes Dental equipment with teeth. Cambi was in Rancho checking out the Easter Egg Hunt Hoppin' and Huntin' Lori was in Roseville learning about a Laser treatment that helps heal injuries faster. 8am:
In this GREAT 8 Cambi went to Laguna Creek HS for a E Waste event for the band trying to raise money to get to play at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Cody checked out more deals at the Stockton Estate Sale, Amy was hanging out with Baskin Robbins and their new Ice Cream flavors and cakes. Lori was checking out chicks at Bradshaw Pet and Feed in Rancho Cordova. Cody talked with 3 wrestlers about their event taking place tonight at Strikes in Elk Grove. Cody also talked to 2 authors about their book Mikey. Mikey is about Autism and should be read by teachers, parents, and kids. Awesome book.
9am:
In the 9am hour Cambi was at a special Easter Egg hunt for the blind in Orangevale. Anna from Anna's Yarn Shoppe was in studio teaching 3 wrestlers how to knit. Lori was at Woodcreek Golf Course for another Easter Egg Hunt. Cody and Amy checked out the Camp 4 Wine in Modesto and Amy talked to 2 local guys who started their own clothing line Just Rich.
10am:
The Frosting Queens made Cody an Honorary Frosting King then make Monkey Bread and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Relish Burger Bar was in studio giving Julian a taste of their new exotic burgers. I will have more on this in Final Thought. Lori was at Woodcreek Golf Course talking to kids about what they want for Easter. Cody and Amy talked to Vicki from Modesto about Earth Day. Cambi was in Orangevale learning more about the Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind.
Final Thoughts:
Today Tina and Melissa had the day as well as the weekend off and though I thought about it earlier in the week I didn't think about it yesterday that Tina would not be here. However Lori was back from her week off and today she was in Roseville checking out a Laser Treatment that helps heal injuries quicker including Migraines and Planter Fascists.
After leaving Laser Treatments Lori was playing with Little Chicks and then went to an Easter Egg Hunt and talked to kids about what they want for Easter.
Cambi, You either love her or adore her but either way you learn so much about her. Today on her first live shot at Hoppin and Huntin she said she would give extra love to the folks at EDD then she went to Laguna Creek High School for an E Waste event where she revealed she dated a teacher from there. What Teacher? That part is still a secret. After she left her dating stories behind she headed to Orangevale to check out a very cool event for the blind. This event has been taken place for 25 years and has never gotten media coverage until now. This wonderful group allows kids who are blind have their own Easter Egg hunt. What they do is hide eggs then take a beeping egg that guides the kids to find the eggs. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!! I love this story.
Today Amy talked to 2 local men who are away at college but back in town this week who started their own clothing line. Very cool clothes for both men and woman. Amy also led off the Relish Burger Bar taste test that Julian Lang took part in. (See more on this below) She finished up the wrestlers who learned how to knit and the Frosting Queens when they made Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Be sure to pick up some of their frosting in Corti Bros. Whole Foods and Nugget Markets. (Not all Nuggets have their product yet so check your local stores) You can also order online through the Queens website. Everyone loves Baskin Robbins and everyone loves Ice Cream and Cake so the combnation is perfect when you put Amy with Baskin Robbins talking about Ice Cream and Cake including Spider Man Ice Cream.
Cody was joined by Amy with the Skype Interview of a San Francisco Author talking about his new book.and offering it for FREE!! on Kindle. They also talked about Camp 4 Wine in Modesto, Modesto Earth Day and an Estate Sale in Stockton with Dental Equipment.
Cody talked with the Lucha Wrestlers before handing them off to Anna from Anna's Yarn Shoppe to teach them how to knit. Cody was made an honorary Frosting Queen by the Frosting Queens before they showed us how to make Monkey Bread. Cody covered round 2 of the Exotic Burgers from Relish Burger Bar in El Dorado Hills.
Julian Lang. Julian is a wonderful person on the show and I have been able to watch him grow as the show goes on. As you know he is getting set to be married but Julian has his own Burger Blog so he was the perfect choice in my opinion to taste test the 4 burgers from Relish Burger Bar. First he tried the Lamb. He liked it and said the pineapple added to the flavor. After he tasted the lamb burger he tried the camel burger. He didn't say much about it but was polite and gave that TV smile that tells you it may not have been his favorite. The next burger he tried was the Bison burger. Bison burger is a very healthy meat that a lot of people eat and Julian really liked this burger. The final burger was Kangaroo. Julian did say it was good but gamey.

I want to go back to Cambi's story with the Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind. I really liked this story and I hope this becomes a Good Day Weekend tradition of covering this story. It should not have taken 25 years to cover this but now I hope Good Day covers it for the next 25 years and beyond.
The other story I left out today and will talk about now is the book Mikey. When I was growing up I was tested for Autism but the tests then are far different from the test today with all the technology we have now compared to then. No I don't have Autism I have learning disability however Experts estimate that 1 out of 88 children age 8 will have an ASD.these numbers are from 2012. Autism is very special to me because my mom is a Special Needs Teacher who works specifically with Autism children and my sister is a speech teacher who also works with them. If you think your child has it don't be afraid to get him/her tested. I STRONGLY Encourage everyone with children to order this book "Mikey" and read it together with your child and talk about it. I loved this story today on Good Day.

Today knitting expert Anna Starr, owner of Anna’s Yarn Shoppe: Exquisite yarns for the Discriminating Fiber Artist, joined Cody in studio to teach our Lucha pro wrestlers how to knit like little ladies. Anna learned how to knit during her recovery from breast cancer and now teaches others. This self proclaimed yarn junkie came in and showed the macho men of Lucha Xtreme how to work the needle!

In this hour this weeks Skype interview came from Zoltan Istvan of Transhumanist Wager who joined to talk about his new book and his FREE offer on Kindle. Cody and Amy also talked about a Stockton Estate sale that includes Dental equipment with teeth. Cambi was in Rancho checking out the Easter Egg Hunt Hoppin' and Huntin' Lori was in Roseville learning about a Laser treatment that helps heal injuries faster. 8am:
In this GREAT 8 Cambi went to Laguna Creek HS for a E Waste event for the band trying to raise money to get to play at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Cody checked out more deals at the Stockton Estate Sale, Amy was hanging out with Baskin Robbins and their new Ice Cream flavors and cakes. Lori was checking out chicks at Bradshaw Pet and Feed in Rancho Cordova. Cody talked with 3 wrestlers about their event taking place tonight at Strikes in Elk Grove. Cody also talked to 2 authors about their book Mikey. Mikey is about Autism and should be read by teachers, parents, and kids. Awesome book.
9am:
In the 9am hour Cambi was at a special Easter Egg hunt for the blind in Orangevale. Anna from Anna's Yarn Shoppe was in studio teaching 3 wrestlers how to knit. Lori was at Woodcreek Golf Course for another Easter Egg Hunt. Cody and Amy checked out the Camp 4 Wine in Modesto and Amy talked to 2 local guys who started their own clothing line Just Rich.
10am:
The Frosting Queens made Cody an Honorary Frosting King then make Monkey Bread and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Relish Burger Bar was in studio giving Julian a taste of their new exotic burgers. I will have more on this in Final Thought. Lori was at Woodcreek Golf Course talking to kids about what they want for Easter. Cody and Amy talked to Vicki from Modesto about Earth Day. Cambi was in Orangevale learning more about the Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind.
Final Thoughts:
Today Tina and Melissa had the day as well as the weekend off and though I thought about it earlier in the week I didn't think about it yesterday that Tina would not be here. However Lori was back from her week off and today she was in Roseville checking out a Laser Treatment that helps heal injuries quicker including Migraines and Planter Fascists.
After leaving Laser Treatments Lori was playing with Little Chicks and then went to an Easter Egg Hunt and talked to kids about what they want for Easter.
Cambi, You either love her or adore her but either way you learn so much about her. Today on her first live shot at Hoppin and Huntin she said she would give extra love to the folks at EDD then she went to Laguna Creek High School for an E Waste event where she revealed she dated a teacher from there. What Teacher? That part is still a secret. After she left her dating stories behind she headed to Orangevale to check out a very cool event for the blind. This event has been taken place for 25 years and has never gotten media coverage until now. This wonderful group allows kids who are blind have their own Easter Egg hunt. What they do is hide eggs then take a beeping egg that guides the kids to find the eggs. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!! I love this story.
Today Amy talked to 2 local men who are away at college but back in town this week who started their own clothing line. Very cool clothes for both men and woman. Amy also led off the Relish Burger Bar taste test that Julian Lang took part in. (See more on this below) She finished up the wrestlers who learned how to knit and the Frosting Queens when they made Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Be sure to pick up some of their frosting in Corti Bros. Whole Foods and Nugget Markets. (Not all Nuggets have their product yet so check your local stores) You can also order online through the Queens website. Everyone loves Baskin Robbins and everyone loves Ice Cream and Cake so the combnation is perfect when you put Amy with Baskin Robbins talking about Ice Cream and Cake including Spider Man Ice Cream.
Cody was joined by Amy with the Skype Interview of a San Francisco Author talking about his new book.and offering it for FREE!! on Kindle. They also talked about Camp 4 Wine in Modesto, Modesto Earth Day and an Estate Sale in Stockton with Dental Equipment.
Cody talked with the Lucha Wrestlers before handing them off to Anna from Anna's Yarn Shoppe to teach them how to knit. Cody was made an honorary Frosting Queen by the Frosting Queens before they showed us how to make Monkey Bread. Cody covered round 2 of the Exotic Burgers from Relish Burger Bar in El Dorado Hills.
Julian Lang. Julian is a wonderful person on the show and I have been able to watch him grow as the show goes on. As you know he is getting set to be married but Julian has his own Burger Blog so he was the perfect choice in my opinion to taste test the 4 burgers from Relish Burger Bar. First he tried the Lamb. He liked it and said the pineapple added to the flavor. After he tasted the lamb burger he tried the camel burger. He didn't say much about it but was polite and gave that TV smile that tells you it may not have been his favorite. The next burger he tried was the Bison burger. Bison burger is a very healthy meat that a lot of people eat and Julian really liked this burger. The final burger was Kangaroo. Julian did say it was good but gamey.
SPECIAL STORIES ALERT!!!!!
I want to go back to Cambi's story with the Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind. I really liked this story and I hope this becomes a Good Day Weekend tradition of covering this story. It should not have taken 25 years to cover this but now I hope Good Day covers it for the next 25 years and beyond.
The other story I left out today and will talk about now is the book Mikey. When I was growing up I was tested for Autism but the tests then are far different from the test today with all the technology we have now compared to then. No I don't have Autism I have learning disability however Experts estimate that 1 out of 88 children age 8 will have an ASD.these numbers are from 2012. Autism is very special to me because my mom is a Special Needs Teacher who works specifically with Autism children and my sister is a speech teacher who also works with them. If you think your child has it don't be afraid to get him/her tested. I STRONGLY Encourage everyone with children to order this book "Mikey" and read it together with your child and talk about it. I loved this story today on Good Day.
