On the menu was Zucchini Ribbons. I have never had this before. No to be fair I did not like Zucchini before surgery in 2009 and still don't like it but that doesn't mean you will not like this recipe.
The next dish made I actually surprisingly liked. The Farro Salad was pretty good. One side note.... Add lemon juice optional.
Finally the main dish of the night was the Black Bean Turkey Chili This was very good and if I can add this note along with the recipe Chicken stock should be low sodium and Sea salt is optional.

On Fox40 they talked about the Community Theater renovations as well and also a Robotics competition but Thursday also means Idol Chatter and today MoJoe said Jena was best of the night and CJ Should go home. Courtney led off Show and Tell today with daughter Mariah copying Mark and Cody's T-Rex dance. Cody shared his day at the River Cats game and Colin got a foul ball. Mark had News of the Weird that included a new dating site for Green Bay Packers fans. Marianne's Daily list talked about questions NOT to ask in an interview. The 5am Question of the day was asked and that was Good Carpool topics? Mr. Dunn was the 5am Club Member of the day and Marianne talked to Kerri Wagner-Alexander about the Prayer Canvas for Boston. Today's Show us your topic was High Five and Throwback Easter.
6am:
Doug The Car Czar was back with Day 2 from the New York Auto Show. Marianne's Daily Joe was amazing today. A British man came up with a GREAT way to cut Cherry Tomatoes. Melissa was with a local man who did a walk through of the Movie I love You Man and it wasn't cut making him the Movie Bomber. Julissa was with a Mom and Daughters team who restores old furniture.
7am:
Julissa continued this hour with Momtique the mom and daughters who make old furniture look new again. Melissa was with one local retired woman who uses her time making greeting cards. Ken was talking to Sacramento Area Sewer district who reminded us what not to put in your sink disposals or face the CLOG!!!! Doug was back for round 2 of the New York Car Show.
8am:
In this hour Melissa was with one local woman who takes wood and makes beautiful jewelry out of it. Courtney was with our FAVORITE Interior Designer Kerrie Kelly showing how to repurpose furniture. Mark had some entertainment and it looks like Mrs. Doubt Fire is coming back for a part 2. Why!!!! Teens Tunes was played and 2 stars from Bad Teacher Sara Gilbert and Ari Graynor joined to talk about the show. Cody was at Thunder Valley going behind the scenes of the Buffet. The #9amtopic was introduced. Today's question I wish they would make ___ easier.
9am:
Our guides Laura and Julissa took us through today's #9amtopic as well as Cody at the Thunder Valley Buffet. Mark talked to Greg Kinnear about Heaven is for Real. Courtney was getting more tips and tricks from the GREAT Kerrie Kelly and her Design Lab. Ken's Manly Minute was how to survive Jury Duty. Melissa was at Sac State Nursing getting tips and talking about a GREAT event coming up next week for Mothers who might face premature babies. The event is April 26. It's Thursday so that means Gina from Thrift Town was in talking about creative DIY Easter Baskets. The Final Question of the day was How do deal with someone you might have conflict with.
Final Thoughts:
Reminder Tomorrow is Friday so My58 will not be covered but they did a pretty good job today. I really liked the phone protection tips they gave and how you can kill your phone if lost or stolen.
Fox40 today I thought did some really good things but I mostly want to talk about Idol Chatter this week with MoJoe and Bethany who was covering for Paul. I agree with MoJoe that Jena was the BEST of the night and CJ should go home but I do not agree he should go home this week. Bethany thought Dexter was the BEST of the night which I did not agree with but he was good and that Sam should go home. I TOTALLY Agree with Bethany on that. Sam should not have been there this week or last. The judges saving him was just a bad idea. However Jessica could also be in trouble this week I agree CJ, Sam should be the ones to go with Sam as the one to go. CJ can stay for another week but he misses notes far too much to continue much longer.
Good Day was such a Buffet of entertainment and information I don't know where to begin. They had so many different DIY Furniture fixers from Momtique who do a wonderful job to Kerrie Kelly who is by far my FAVORITE.
They also talked Jewelry from BearKat Works.

But today is also Thursday so Gina from Thrift Town was in showing how to make Easter Baskets.
So much stuff in just 5.5 hours how do they do it? Good Day is a team of professionals who go from the Mountains to the Oceans and in between. They are some of the best in the business and that is why fans watch them. They are funny but serious when needed to be. Without them making fans laugh, the day would be filled with tears. Today was like a Buffet on the show a little bit of everything and a whole lot of everything...

One more thought. Before I finish for today I want to go back to three of my favorites today on Good Day Sacramento.
First Cody at Thunder Valley. Not so much about the buffet because I can no longer eat that much food. I love Cody like a brother and for him to bring so much excitement over crab and prime rib in just 2 segments makes for a GREAT Cure to be down. He always makes his segments fun and at times educational which he did today. Thunder Vally will be serving close to 2500 people. For me Cody is and always will be one of the best in the business.
The other segment I loved was Kerrie Kelly. We first got introduced to her and her design lab with former Good Day Sacramento cast member Ashley Williams and since that time Kerrie has taught viewers so much and has helped them along the way. Kerrie is a true professional.
Finally Gina from Thrift Town is so amazing each and every week I look forward to her each Thursday. She is always coming up with great DIY projects it really makes me wish I had her skills but when someone can do things like she can you really can't do better.
Tomorrow is Friday so you know what that mean. Get your dancing shoes ready.....

Mark had News of the Weird that included a new dating site for Green Bay Packers fans. Marianne's Daily list talked about questions NOT to ask in an interview. The 5am Question of the day was asked and that was Good Carpool topics? Mr. Dunn was the 5am Club Member of the day and Marianne talked to Kerri Wagner-Alexander about the Prayer Canvas for Boston. Today's Show us your topic was High Five and Throwback Easter.
6am:
Doug The Car Czar was back with Day 2 from the New York Auto Show. Marianne's Daily Joe was amazing today. A British man came up with a GREAT way to cut Cherry Tomatoes. Melissa was with a local man who did a walk through of the Movie I love You Man and it wasn't cut making him the Movie Bomber. Julissa was with a Mom and Daughters team who restores old furniture.
7am:
Julissa continued this hour with Momtique the mom and daughters who make old furniture look new again. Melissa was with one local retired woman who uses her time making greeting cards. Ken was talking to Sacramento Area Sewer district who reminded us what not to put in your sink disposals or face the CLOG!!!! Doug was back for round 2 of the New York Car Show.
8am:
In this hour Melissa was with one local woman who takes wood and makes beautiful jewelry out of it. Courtney was with our FAVORITE Interior Designer Kerrie Kelly showing how to repurpose furniture. Mark had some entertainment and it looks like Mrs. Doubt Fire is coming back for a part 2. Why!!!! Teens Tunes was played and 2 stars from Bad Teacher Sara Gilbert and Ari Graynor joined to talk about the show. Cody was at Thunder Valley going behind the scenes of the Buffet. The #9amtopic was introduced. Today's question I wish they would make ___ easier.
9am:
Our guides Laura and Julissa took us through today's #9amtopic as well as Cody at the Thunder Valley Buffet. Mark talked to Greg Kinnear about Heaven is for Real. Courtney was getting more tips and tricks from the GREAT Kerrie Kelly and her Design Lab. Ken's Manly Minute was how to survive Jury Duty. Melissa was at Sac State Nursing getting tips and talking about a GREAT event coming up next week for Mothers who might face premature babies. The event is April 26. It's Thursday so that means Gina from Thrift Town was in talking about creative DIY Easter Baskets. The Final Question of the day was How do deal with someone you might have conflict with.
Final Thoughts:
Reminder Tomorrow is Friday so My58 will not be covered but they did a pretty good job today. I really liked the phone protection tips they gave and how you can kill your phone if lost or stolen.
Fox40 today I thought did some really good things but I mostly want to talk about Idol Chatter this week with MoJoe and Bethany who was covering for Paul. I agree with MoJoe that Jena was the BEST of the night and CJ should go home but I do not agree he should go home this week. Bethany thought Dexter was the BEST of the night which I did not agree with but he was good and that Sam should go home. I TOTALLY Agree with Bethany on that. Sam should not have been there this week or last. The judges saving him was just a bad idea. However Jessica could also be in trouble this week I agree CJ, Sam should be the ones to go with Sam as the one to go. CJ can stay for another week but he misses notes far too much to continue much longer.
Good Day was such a Buffet of entertainment and information I don't know where to begin. They had so many different DIY Furniture fixers from Momtique who do a wonderful job to Kerrie Kelly who is by far my FAVORITE.
They also talked Jewelry from BearKat Works.

So much stuff in just 5.5 hours how do they do it? Good Day is a team of professionals who go from the Mountains to the Oceans and in between. They are some of the best in the business and that is why fans watch them. They are funny but serious when needed to be. Without them making fans laugh, the day would be filled with tears. Today was like a Buffet on the show a little bit of everything and a whole lot of everything...

One more thought. Before I finish for today I want to go back to three of my favorites today on Good Day Sacramento.
First Cody at Thunder Valley. Not so much about the buffet because I can no longer eat that much food. I love Cody like a brother and for him to bring so much excitement over crab and prime rib in just 2 segments makes for a GREAT Cure to be down. He always makes his segments fun and at times educational which he did today. Thunder Vally will be serving close to 2500 people. For me Cody is and always will be one of the best in the business.
The other segment I loved was Kerrie Kelly. We first got introduced to her and her design lab with former Good Day Sacramento cast member Ashley Williams and since that time Kerrie has taught viewers so much and has helped them along the way. Kerrie is a true professional.
Finally Gina from Thrift Town is so amazing each and every week I look forward to her each Thursday. She is always coming up with great DIY projects it really makes me wish I had her skills but when someone can do things like she can you really can't do better.
Tomorrow is Friday so you know what that mean. Get your dancing shoes ready.....
