Happy Easter.... Today in the News Weekend Edition Part 2 4/20/2014
Opening Statement:
Today we celebrate another Easter with Good Day Sacramento. As we inch ever so close to 100,000 likes I can't help but to remember a couple of Easters that stand out to me with Good Day.
Cody's first year on the weekend show with then host Taryn Winter Brill they gave away 20 Honey Baked Hams if you spelled Ham with some type of unique way. I was collecting 3 3/4" GI Joe at the time so I used some of them and spelled out the word ham, took a photo and submitted. I was lucky enough to win. One catch the ham was not ready for that Easter because the contest was on Easter I had to wait for the contact email which came a few days later with how to pick up my prize. The prize ended up being used for Mother's Day so it was a nice surprise.
The other favorite moment came about 3 years ago. It took place in the 209 area code with former Good Day cast member Alan Sanchez who is now working with UOP as a play by play/Color analyst. Anyway back to the story. Alan was dressed as an Easter Bunny when he was chasing kids and fell. The Bunny head fell off and Alan quickly snatched it from the ground and put it back on his head. One problem, Alan put the head on backwards and then twisted it around in front of the kids he was chasing making this one of the classic Good Day Moments. This event even made the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Happy Easter Sunday, Good Day Style. Today in the 7am hour Cambi was checking out what was for breakfast at Tower Cafe. Kevin was in Roseville with one local family that has swimming Bunnies. Cody slapped us with Science with fun or not so fun Easter Candy / Workout facts. Eleanor was Dishin the Gossip that included Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman divorcing.
8am:
In the GREAT 8 Cambi continued from Tower Cafe. Kevin raced a swimming bunny. NO THE WATER DOES NOT HARM THEM!!! The Water is salt water not clorine water. Amy and Cody talked to a blogger about Finland Easter traditions, They talked to Lee from the Cambodia festival in Stockton and Cody introduced BEAUTIFUL Talented Melissa Lingo who performed on the Good Day Stage. Cody also talked to Carol who is the owner of Bandit the Weiner dog who won the regional contest for Best Wiener dog and now heads to San Diego in December. Finally it's Sunday and Today Tina was Dishin With Tina from Roseville at La Huaca.
9am:
Today Cambi dropped off Easter Cookies to a friend... What about me? Kevin was in Roseville checking out Alpaca's and learning about their Fleece. Melissa Lingo performed again. Cody and Amy introduced us to Clarence who want to do voice over work and based on what I heard he could have a job in moments. He is really good. Cody and Amy checked back in with the Cambodia Festival in Stockton. Cody went out back to hang out with Stunt Dogs. Amy was on the Catwalk with Phoebe aka Dress Fiend with Easter Fashion.
10am:
Cambi delivered her cookies in the 9am hour so she could go to an Eggstravaganza at Fairytale Town this hour. Clarence continued doing amazing announcing showcasing his amazing voice for voice over work (More in Final Thoughts) Kevin was checking out Mini Horses in Roseville. Amy teamed with Dress Fiend for more Spring Fashion and the GREAT Melissa Lingo performed 2 more songs. Closing the show dance along with the Bunny Hop Song/Dance.
Final Thoughts:
Before getting into the show today in case you wondered. No Nina NEVER appeared from Couchella as was reported yesterday. However I was not surprised. Lori was also missing meaning she was spending the day with her 3 boys so that was understandable and Melissa is already off.
Kevin was out in the field today first swimming with swimming Bunnies who are perfectly safe in the water. After swimming with Bunnies he headed to the farm to first check out Alpaca's and then Mini Horses.
Though Melissa, Lori, and Nina all had the day off Cambi did work and for her first 2 segments she went to Tower Cafe for What's for Breakfast then delivered cookies to one of her good friends before heading to Fairytale Town for Fun with kids finding eggs and meeting Peter Cottontail. Though Peter was not available for her live shot.
Amy teamed with the Dress Fiend for Easter and Spring Fashion for Carabba on the Catwalk. Always love seeing Phoebe and her awesome fashion ideas.
Cody and Amy talked with Lee from the Cambodia Festival in Stockton and traveled via Skype to Finland to see how they celebrate Easter.
Cody was busy with dogs first with a Wiener Show Dog who won Regionals and will try to win Nationals in San Diego. Then Cody was out back with Stunt Dogs that will be performing in Stockton at the Asparagus Festival. Each dog used in the stunt show are rescued by Chris and his team. This was so cool to watch. Cody also slapped us with Science today that included fun facts about Easter Candy.
While at Wondercon Cody met Clarence. Clarence wants to do voice over work. Clarence has an amazing voice. If I can get video/sound of Clarence from today's show I will pass it on to all of you. I LOVE MELISSA LINGO!! Her voice is one Angels look up to. She is beautifully talented and every time she is on the show I find myself falling in love with her voice and talent all over again. The other staple from Sunday is Dishin With Tina and yes I know I am not the right person to ask because I am not a fan of Peruvian food because of the spice but I am a fan of anyone who is on Dishin With Tina so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go check out this Wonderful spot La Huaca in Roseville. The reviews are amazing and if you love this type of food you will love this spot.

Amy teamed with the Dress Fiend for Easter and Spring Fashion for Carabba on the Catwalk. Always love seeing Phoebe and her awesome fashion ideas.
Cody and Amy talked with Lee from the Cambodia Festival in Stockton and traveled via Skype to Finland to see how they celebrate Easter.
Cody was busy with dogs first with a Wiener Show Dog who won Regionals and will try to win Nationals in San Diego. Then Cody was out back with Stunt Dogs that will be performing in Stockton at the Asparagus Festival. Each dog used in the stunt show are rescued by Chris and his team. This was so cool to watch. Cody also slapped us with Science today that included fun facts about Easter Candy.
While at Wondercon Cody met Clarence. Clarence wants to do voice over work. Clarence has an amazing voice. If I can get video/sound of Clarence from today's show I will pass it on to all of you. Sunday's are not complete with 2 staples that make the show. The first Eleanor with her Ask Eleanor Gossip. I think today's was one of my favorites with all the juicy gossip she found. The other staple from Sunday is Dishin With Tina and yes I know I am not the right person to ask because I am not a fan of Peruvian food because of the spice but I am a fan of anyone who is on Dishin With Tina so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go check out this Wonderful spot La Huaca in Roseville. The reviews are amazing and if you love this type of food you will love this spot.
