Despite the weather here and the news in Chili being awful this area got some good news yesterday. First the missing runner was found and then later that night the missing snowboarder was found both alive and doing pretty well.

A local band dedicates a song to a young autistic boy and today they perform it live!!! A 4th grader at Lincoln Crossing Elementary helped organize the event in order to celebrate people’s differences and show her classmates that “different” doesn’t mean “weird.” The school choir teamed up with the lead singer of Stillwood Sages for special live concerts for the entire studentbody!!! And Chandler (the 6-year-old autistic boy) got a front row seat to the shows!! ***The song is called “Hey Chandler”!!

Both Tao and Deirdre are off today so that meant Mike Teselle and Leticia Ordaz stepped in to cover the desk. One of the things My58/KCRA are noted for are their news coverage and today they did a nice job with the BREAKING News but I'm not going to get into who did better because everyone has their own opinion of who covers what better.

Marianne is back from vacation and so was today's Daily List where she gave tips for Spring Cleaning. Mark was in Stockton today shooting a commercial for Stockton Transportation Service. The 5am Club Member was introduced as well as today's Question of the Day What did you like your mom and dad to make you as a kid? The Show us yours is Peanut Butter Jelly sandwiches for today National PB&J Day. This sandwich was first made in WWII when soldiers combined the 2 in bread. In today's show and tell Ken shared the Blogger info that takes photos of babies in suits. This was first shared on Monday with Julissa in Trending Topics.
6am:
In this hour Mark continued from Stockton Transportation. Julissa had shared a new app called Simple Deal. This is only available in a small areas but has an Indigo campaign to reach more areas. Due to breaking news of the High Speed Chase that ended in a crash and then search for suspect Julissa was cut short. Going back to the High Speed chase Tina and Dave did a GREAT job tracking the chase and then the aftermath.
7am:
In this hour the BREAKING NEWS of what was a chase and crash turned awful. 2 innocent people a driver/passenger hit by the speeding truck have been lost. It is my heartfelt sorrow that I say to the families and friends I am so sorry for their loss. Also in this hour Mark continued to prepare for his Stockton Transportation ad shoot and Julissa was previewing the 5th Annual Fight for Air Climb and Festival coming April 12 at the Wells Fargo Building in downtown Sacramento.
8am:
To kick off the hour the suspect in the chase/crash was captured. Mark shot the Stockton Bus ad but first brought us a story from one local Del Oro High School student who is riding his bike to New York City to stamp out smokeless tobacco. Cambi was at InSync Dance as they practice for Beauty and the Beast Ballet. Cody was in Lincoln as one local student Chandler, gets his own amazing song from his school and performer "Hey Chandler". The 9amtopic was introduced today's topic What public figure has past their prime.
9am:
In this hour Melissa went to train with firefighter for Sac Metro. Julissa and Laura took us through the #9amtopic. Courtney filled in for Tina during Dishin today with Laura's choice. No word on who will be featured this week but if I have to guess and this is only a guess it will be Audrey. Mark finished up his Ad shoot in Stockton. Ken had a really good Manly Minute "What not to say to a pregnant woman" This hour belonged to Chandler. Chandler is a Autistic child that a local performer wrote a song about and teamed up with Chandler's school choir to perform it. WORD OF WARNING!!!! Cody said it and it is true. Get your tissues ready. This song was so beautiful it will have you in tears. The final question of the day was What is always a classic.
Final Thoughts:
With the breaking news this morning all 3 stations broke format to cover this story of the chase that ended in a violent crash and manhunt. I am so sad 2 young people had to lose their life over idiots who first attempted a robbery, stole the truck and decided to run from the police. NO ONE HAD TO DIE but 2 did. So stupid to see these chases. Just give up or don't do bad at all.
Fox 40 did a decent job getting back on track with Spotlight Stockton and ZoCalo in studio cooking delicious food.
Before the Breaking news began today on Good Day Ken shared Baby Suiting on Show and tell and we welcomed Marianne back from vacation.
Julissa had the cool early segments first with the App of the week Simple Deal. Unfortunately it may have been cut short by the breaking news because it was a hard ending that lead right into the chase. After the crash and dealing with the search for the suspects started Julissa was on top of the Well Fargo building for the Fight for Air Climb giving us amazing views of the city.
One story that had to be dropped because of the breaking news was from Cody who was checking out a New Brewery, New Glory Craft Brewery on 8251 Alpine Ave.

This was filmed yesterday and brought to us today during Mark's ad shoot in Stockton for the Stockton Regional Transit.
Marianne was back and gave tips for Spring cleaning in her Daily List and Ken gave tips what not to say to a pregnant woman.
Today Good Day and Cody had another GREAT story. The story of a band, school and mom coming together to help her son Chandler. This remarkable young man had a song written about him from a local band and today it was performed with Chandler's school choir. Such a beautiful song. I don't think I did a well enough job with this story because you must listen to the song to understand it the links above has a video clip but today's Good Day Sacramento video did not get loaded up.
Today's shows did a GREAT job and for the most part very inspiring. Please watch Chandler's Song and support the cause.

Marianne is back from vacation and so was today's Daily List where she gave tips for Spring Cleaning. Mark was in Stockton today shooting a commercial for Stockton Transportation Service. The 5am Club Member was introduced as well as today's Question of the Day What did you like your mom and dad to make you as a kid? The Show us yours is Peanut Butter Jelly sandwiches for today National PB&J Day. This sandwich was first made in WWII when soldiers combined the 2 in bread. In today's show and tell Ken shared the Blogger info that takes photos of babies in suits. This was first shared on Monday with Julissa in Trending Topics.
6am:
In this hour Mark continued from Stockton Transportation. Julissa had shared a new app called Simple Deal. This is only available in a small areas but has an Indigo campaign to reach more areas. Due to breaking news of the High Speed Chase that ended in a crash and then search for suspect Julissa was cut short. Going back to the High Speed chase Tina and Dave did a GREAT job tracking the chase and then the aftermath.
7am:
In this hour the BREAKING NEWS of what was a chase and crash turned awful. 2 innocent people a driver/passenger hit by the speeding truck have been lost. It is my heartfelt sorrow that I say to the families and friends I am so sorry for their loss. Also in this hour Mark continued to prepare for his Stockton Transportation ad shoot and Julissa was previewing the 5th Annual Fight for Air Climb and Festival coming April 12 at the Wells Fargo Building in downtown Sacramento.
8am:
To kick off the hour the suspect in the chase/crash was captured. Mark shot the Stockton Bus ad but first brought us a story from one local Del Oro High School student who is riding his bike to New York City to stamp out smokeless tobacco. Cambi was at InSync Dance as they practice for Beauty and the Beast Ballet. Cody was in Lincoln as one local student Chandler, gets his own amazing song from his school and performer "Hey Chandler". The 9amtopic was introduced today's topic What public figure has past their prime.
9am:
In this hour Melissa went to train with firefighter for Sac Metro. Julissa and Laura took us through the #9amtopic. Courtney filled in for Tina during Dishin today with Laura's choice. No word on who will be featured this week but if I have to guess and this is only a guess it will be Audrey. Mark finished up his Ad shoot in Stockton. Ken had a really good Manly Minute "What not to say to a pregnant woman" This hour belonged to Chandler. Chandler is a Autistic child that a local performer wrote a song about and teamed up with Chandler's school choir to perform it. WORD OF WARNING!!!! Cody said it and it is true. Get your tissues ready. This song was so beautiful it will have you in tears. The final question of the day was What is always a classic.
Final Thoughts:
With the breaking news this morning all 3 stations broke format to cover this story of the chase that ended in a violent crash and manhunt. I am so sad 2 young people had to lose their life over idiots who first attempted a robbery, stole the truck and decided to run from the police. NO ONE HAD TO DIE but 2 did. So stupid to see these chases. Just give up or don't do bad at all.
Fox 40 did a decent job getting back on track with Spotlight Stockton and ZoCalo in studio cooking delicious food.
Before the Breaking news began today on Good Day Ken shared Baby Suiting on Show and tell and we welcomed Marianne back from vacation.
Julissa had the cool early segments first with the App of the week Simple Deal. Unfortunately it may have been cut short by the breaking news because it was a hard ending that lead right into the chase. After the crash and dealing with the search for the suspects started Julissa was on top of the Well Fargo building for the Fight for Air Climb giving us amazing views of the city.
One story that had to be dropped because of the breaking news was from Cody who was checking out a New Brewery, New Glory Craft Brewery on 8251 Alpine Ave.

Marianne was back and gave tips for Spring cleaning in her Daily List and Ken gave tips what not to say to a pregnant woman.
Today Good Day and Cody had another GREAT story. The story of a band, school and mom coming together to help her son Chandler. This remarkable young man had a song written about him from a local band and today it was performed with Chandler's school choir. Such a beautiful song. I don't think I did a well enough job with this story because you must listen to the song to understand it the links above has a video clip but today's Good Day Sacramento video did not get loaded up.
Today's shows did a GREAT job and for the most part very inspiring. Please watch Chandler's Song and support the cause.
