Opening Statement:
Many people often ask me why I care so much about 2 shows and the people in front of and behind the camera and I tell them it is simple, ALL THE People that work for Good Day Sacramento and Mark at the Movies are as important to me as my own family. The inspiration, the motivation and the friendship not to mention the opportunities that I have gotten from both shows in my daily health battles I will always give back to those who give to me. That is why I love Good Day, Mark at the Movies and especially Cody and Mark who are like brothers to me and have opened not only my eyes but doors that I would never had thought possible. I realize I need the 2 shows and them more than they need me but I will not give up on them and I hope I never let them as well as the 2 shows down.

Lori: Roseville’s Relay For Life
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event world-wide where communities get together to fight back against cancer.
Although it sounds like a running event, Relay For Life is actually a walk, and literally anyone can participate. People from all around a community form teams and raise money together leading up to the Relay event, itself. Then everyone comes together for 24 hours to celebrate cancer survivorship, memorialize loved ones lost to cancer, and help fight back against the disease. The event is 24 hours because cancer never sleeps.

Lavell has started selling out big time at theaters, major arena tours as headliner and closer; colleges, casinos, and clubs across the world generating seven-figure income in that area. In the 7am hour Tina was checking out a new Bake Shop in West Sacramento. No they don't just sell their tasty treats they teach you how to make them as well. Cambi was in Lincoln walking and talking to 2 dads who are walking 100 miles for schools. Lori was in Stockton at the Asparagus festival checking it out fried and of course the very popular ice cream. Michael was in studio teaching Amy all things Asparagus. 8am:
In the GREAT 8 Lori continued from the Stockton Asparagus Festival. Amy talked with Brian Witherells about the Grass Valley Antique Road Show coming in May with Online Western Auction. Micheal was back with Cody this hour showing to to cook Asparagus. Gabe from Travelzoo gave Cody and Amy great travel ideas including Ireland. Tina was checking out a beautiful garden that you can tour for a $25 donation in Davis. Melissa talked with The Dearest Diaper Store who along with 1000's of others trying to break a changing record.
9am:
The 9am hour might have taught us never to go into a coworkers desk. Cody had his desk appraised by Brian Witherell and it wasn't so much what he appraised it was the chest hair found in the desk that had the newsroom talking. This came from a live shot years ago that someone planted in Cody's desk which actually sounds worse than it was because it was a very funny TV moment. Also Lori was in Roseville checking out an Earth Day event where she played Scoop and toss the poop. The Golden Cadillacs performed 2 songs on the Good Day Stage. Brian did appraise some antique items as well that you can see at the show in May. Gabe was back with Travel ideas for Hawaii and Casa Cody in Palm Springs. Tina was in Woodland for the Scottish Games where she learned how to be a Drum Major.
10am:
Leading off this hour LaVell Crawford was in studio and Cody got to ask him about his Breaking Bad appearance. Cambi was in Elk Grove checking out the new Pedestrian Bridge in Elk Grove. Lori was in Roseville for Relay for Life for American Cancer Society 24 hour walk. Tina was checking out Pet-a-Palooza and got a guided tour from Now 100.5 / Good Day Sacramento Nina. Placer County Beauty Queens joined in studio to talk about their event. Melissa had Hot Headlines including Miss Tori Spelling show may not be real.
Final Thoughts:
Once again Good Day Delivers big on the Weekend Show. First The Golden Cadillacs who are performing tonight at Shady Lady sounded amazing.
Tina went from Cupcakes to a Garden to the Scottish games to Pet-a-Palooza. First thing I want to talk about is her visit to the Garden. This Garden that you can tour is on the scale of the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco, not the size but the beauty. Huei puts so much work and effort into her garden it is well worth the donation of $25 to help young people.
I loved Megan Bake Shop, Though my niece is away at school she is also a cake decorator so she can find a ton of supplies, take more classes or if you need a cake for a birthday or Cody Fest they can help you there too.
Tina also learned how to become a Drum Major at the Scottish games which made for classic Tina, Good Day moments. But when she went to Pet-a-Palooza she got to tour all things Dog with the one and only Nina.
Lori was in Stockton checking out all things Asparagus at the festival while Michael Marks was in studio teaching Cody and Amy how to prepare it. Amy brought a good point because a couple of weeks ago when I took my cooking class the chef said to snap the asparagus however Michael said no just cut the bottom.
Lori also headed to Roseville to check out the Earth Day event where she played Scoop the Poop and toss the poop. to teach people to clean up after the dog. Then she went to Relay for Life in Roseville to benefit Cancer.
Cody thought of the question and Norm from Grass Valley led it off in Today's edition of #GDSJustCurious of They should have a festival about. Then in the 8am hour Cody said something that got my wheels turning. As you may or may not know I want to have a BBQ for all viewers to come out and Meet and Greet the Good Day Players. This is still in the pre planning stages but now I have a name for..... Cody Fest. My plan is to have this Festival in July and if I can get it approved and all things come together I will keep all of you updated.
Making a brief appearance on the show the Queens of Placer County who are looking for more Queens this year and talked about a couple of events they have coming up.
Lavell Crawford was back in studio before he performed 2 shows tonight at Tommy T's, Cody got to ask him about his appearance on Breaking Bad. Cody was screaming for Ken and/or Courtney to ask him yesterday when he was in studio with them.
Cambi was on the show and was teased a lot but only appeared twice. First in Lincoln then in Elk Grove. Not sure what happened to Good Day at your Game, and Stuffed Animal Surgeon.

In the GREAT 8 Lori continued from the Stockton Asparagus Festival. Amy talked with Brian Witherells about the Grass Valley Antique Road Show coming in May with Online Western Auction. Micheal was back with Cody this hour showing to to cook Asparagus. Gabe from Travelzoo gave Cody and Amy great travel ideas including Ireland. Tina was checking out a beautiful garden that you can tour for a $25 donation in Davis. Melissa talked with The Dearest Diaper Store who along with 1000's of others trying to break a changing record.
9am:
The 9am hour might have taught us never to go into a coworkers desk. Cody had his desk appraised by Brian Witherell and it wasn't so much what he appraised it was the chest hair found in the desk that had the newsroom talking. This came from a live shot years ago that someone planted in Cody's desk which actually sounds worse than it was because it was a very funny TV moment. Also Lori was in Roseville checking out an Earth Day event where she played Scoop and toss the poop. The Golden Cadillacs performed 2 songs on the Good Day Stage. Brian did appraise some antique items as well that you can see at the show in May. Gabe was back with Travel ideas for Hawaii and Casa Cody in Palm Springs. Tina was in Woodland for the Scottish Games where she learned how to be a Drum Major.
10am:
Leading off this hour LaVell Crawford was in studio and Cody got to ask him about his Breaking Bad appearance. Cambi was in Elk Grove checking out the new Pedestrian Bridge in Elk Grove. Lori was in Roseville for Relay for Life for American Cancer Society 24 hour walk. Tina was checking out Pet-a-Palooza and got a guided tour from Now 100.5 / Good Day Sacramento Nina. Placer County Beauty Queens joined in studio to talk about their event. Melissa had Hot Headlines including Miss Tori Spelling show may not be real.
Final Thoughts:
Once again Good Day Delivers big on the Weekend Show. First The Golden Cadillacs who are performing tonight at Shady Lady sounded amazing.
Tina went from Cupcakes to a Garden to the Scottish games to Pet-a-Palooza. First thing I want to talk about is her visit to the Garden. This Garden that you can tour is on the scale of the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco, not the size but the beauty. Huei puts so much work and effort into her garden it is well worth the donation of $25 to help young people.
I loved Megan Bake Shop, Though my niece is away at school she is also a cake decorator so she can find a ton of supplies, take more classes or if you need a cake for a birthday or Cody Fest they can help you there too.
Tina also learned how to become a Drum Major at the Scottish games which made for classic Tina, Good Day moments. But when she went to Pet-a-Palooza she got to tour all things Dog with the one and only Nina.
Lori was in Stockton checking out all things Asparagus at the festival while Michael Marks was in studio teaching Cody and Amy how to prepare it. Amy brought a good point because a couple of weeks ago when I took my cooking class the chef said to snap the asparagus however Michael said no just cut the bottom.
Lori also headed to Roseville to check out the Earth Day event where she played Scoop the Poop and toss the poop. to teach people to clean up after the dog. Then she went to Relay for Life in Roseville to benefit Cancer.
Cody thought of the question and Norm from Grass Valley led it off in Today's edition of #GDSJustCurious of They should have a festival about. Then in the 8am hour Cody said something that got my wheels turning. As you may or may not know I want to have a BBQ for all viewers to come out and Meet and Greet the Good Day Players. This is still in the pre planning stages but now I have a name for..... Cody Fest. My plan is to have this Festival in July and if I can get it approved and all things come together I will keep all of you updated.
Making a brief appearance on the show the Queens of Placer County who are looking for more Queens this year and talked about a couple of events they have coming up.
Lavell Crawford was back in studio before he performed 2 shows tonight at Tommy T's, Cody got to ask him about his appearance on Breaking Bad. Cody was screaming for Ken and/or Courtney to ask him yesterday when he was in studio with them.
Cambi was on the show and was teased a lot but only appeared twice. First in Lincoln then in Elk Grove. Not sure what happened to Good Day at your Game, and Stuffed Animal Surgeon.

Today students and parents are coming together in the community for Comcast Cares Day. They will be joined by Comcast employees and their families to spend the morning giving Ethel Phillips Elementary School a volunteer makeover.
