Opening Statement:
Opening today is a couple (3) developing stories I will be following. The first story is Marianne McClary is heading to Seattle to cover the game between the Seahawks and 49'ers. She will be reporting live Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on Good Day Sacramento and the weekend show with Cody and Amy.
The other story I am looking forward today is Jason Maloney paying off his bet between him and Laura Skirde that the Chargers would win, however the Broncos won thus making it a win, win for Laura and all of the Good Day Sacramento viewers watching Jason do weather in Broncos gear. This is set to take place in the 7/8am hour of the show.
The 3rd and final story I am following which will also remain in my Special Announcement section that runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. That story is about former Good Day Sacramento and current host of My58 Morning News, Lisa Gonzalez and current Fox40 Morning Host Bethany Crouch. Models will share brief personal stories and photos from their battles with extreme weight and then walk the runway in the latest fashions from local clothing stores.
Proceeds benefit the UC Davis Bariatric Surgery Program.

Trouble for the Sheldon High School boy’s basketball team, which has become the premier big school power in this area. As a result, Huskies head coach Joey Rollings will not coach the team for the next four weeks. The Elk Grove School District investigated an allegation, brought by an unnamed party, against the basketball program. The district determined district protocols were not followed, and multiple CIF bylaws may have been violated. The district did not specify the protocols and bylaws in question, but speculation involves student athletes who have transferred to Sheldon to play basketball. Since Rollings took over as head coach in 2009, the Huskies have won the Section Championship every year.

We are shaking our bodies today on the dance floor with seniors! There is a regular lively group of older adults who regularly dance the afternoon away for ballroom practice at the Hart Senior Center. Today Amy is showing off her moves .. Today was a very good day. My58 made up for their bad day yesterday today. It has been nice to see Lisa teamed up with Deidre this week with Teo off.
Fox 40 had some good stories as well, Always love seeing Zohreen out in the field now and she didn't disappoint at the Folsom Zoo nor did Sabrina talking about the kids in Turlock at Walnut Elementary. Bethany always look beautiful and professional.
Good Day Sacramento did it again. Yes, they had their normal fun and GREAT cast but it was Jason paying off his bet to Laura that won the day. Jason was such a good sport and to be honest he did really well at the weather.

The 5am hour had Question of the day, Marianne's Daily list, Show us your... hat pictures began and 5am Club member. It also started Jason's his transformation into Bronco's fan with his face painting by Sutter Beauty College.
The 6am hour we got to meet a very special girl... More on that shortly. Ken and Mark talked to 2 ladies from Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. Julissa was checking out a local artist that creates art with jewelry... My favorite was the fish bowl. Marianne introduced Noah's Bagels with their free offer TODAY only and We checked in on Jason's transformation as a Broncos fan. Back to the main story of the hour. I am so proud of Katelyn sharing her story about being bullied. I wish more kids would share so we can stop this. Much more comments later in Quick thought.
The 7am hour we got to meet a kooky collector that collects Starburst Wrappers. Amy continued with our beautiful 12 year old fashion experts Mark sat down with 2 stars of the new film Jack Ryan opening Friday, Courtney was learning Pichuberries recipes and the highlight of the 7am hour.... Jason does the weather... Okay to be fair, he did a lot better than I thought he would do but it was a Good Day Sacramento Instant Classic.
The 8am hour where the Jason fun continued saw him not only do weather but go to Starbucks and do a cheer with Cambi. Mark sat down with Actor/Director Kenneth Branagh. The #9amtopic was introduced and Amy put on her dancing shoes with Seniors. Courtney was volunteering at Front Street Shelter and Teens Tunes were played.

Quick Thought:
As you know I run the Special Announcement section 4 days a week. I love running it on days that stories match up with them, such as the case today. The movie Bully is running in a special screening on the 18th and what a better way to promote that when a young child who has fell victim of Bullying shares her story and how she has been able to overcome it. Bullying is out of control and it is up to us to STOP IT!!!! If you see this screening do not go into it thinking oh, it’s no big deal. Go into it thinking how can I make it stop, how can I make it so girls like Katelyn or young boys like I was or Cody was, Think about how we as parents/adults can make our child act just like us when it comes to going to sporting events or posting things over the internet to sports figures and TV personalities can stop this horrible trend. We need to stop it before we lose our loved ones that can't take it anymore and go to our schools and start shooting others, or harming themselves. We need to STOP the BULLY!!!!

We are shaking our bodies today on the dance floor with seniors! There is a regular lively group of older adults who regularly dance the afternoon away for ballroom practice at the Hart Senior Center. Today Amy is showing off her moves .. Today was a very good day. My58 made up for their bad day yesterday today. It has been nice to see Lisa teamed up with Deidre this week with Teo off.
Fox 40 had some good stories as well, Always love seeing Zohreen out in the field now and she didn't disappoint at the Folsom Zoo nor did Sabrina talking about the kids in Turlock at Walnut Elementary. Bethany always look beautiful and professional.
Good Day Sacramento did it again. Yes, they had their normal fun and GREAT cast but it was Jason paying off his bet to Laura that won the day. Jason was such a good sport and to be honest he did really well at the weather.

The 5am hour had Question of the day, Marianne's Daily list, Show us your... hat pictures began and 5am Club member. It also started Jason's his transformation into Bronco's fan with his face painting by Sutter Beauty College.
The 6am hour we got to meet a very special girl... More on that shortly. Ken and Mark talked to 2 ladies from Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. Julissa was checking out a local artist that creates art with jewelry... My favorite was the fish bowl. Marianne introduced Noah's Bagels with their free offer TODAY only and We checked in on Jason's transformation as a Broncos fan. Back to the main story of the hour. I am so proud of Katelyn sharing her story about being bullied. I wish more kids would share so we can stop this. Much more comments later in Quick thought.
The 7am hour we got to meet a kooky collector that collects Starburst Wrappers. Amy continued with our beautiful 12 year old fashion experts Mark sat down with 2 stars of the new film Jack Ryan opening Friday, Courtney was learning Pichuberries recipes and the highlight of the 7am hour.... Jason does the weather... Okay to be fair, he did a lot better than I thought he would do but it was a Good Day Sacramento Instant Classic.
The 8am hour where the Jason fun continued saw him not only do weather but go to Starbucks and do a cheer with Cambi. Mark sat down with Actor/Director Kenneth Branagh. The #9amtopic was introduced and Amy put on her dancing shoes with Seniors. Courtney was volunteering at Front Street Shelter and Teens Tunes were played.

Quick Thought:
As you know I run the Special Announcement section 4 days a week. I love running it on days that stories match up with them, such as the case today. The movie Bully is running in a special screening on the 18th and what a better way to promote that when a young child who has fell victim of Bullying shares her story and how she has been able to overcome it. Bullying is out of control and it is up to us to STOP IT!!!! If you see this screening do not go into it thinking oh, it’s no big deal. Go into it thinking how can I make it stop, how can I make it so girls like Katelyn or young boys like I was or Cody was, Think about how we as parents/adults can make our child act just like us when it comes to going to sporting events or posting things over the internet to sports figures and TV personalities can stop this horrible trend. We need to stop it before we lose our loved ones that can't take it anymore and go to our schools and start shooting others, or harming themselves. We need to STOP the BULLY!!!!
