Inspire To Find A Way.... Today in the News Weekend Edition Part 2

Inspire To Find A Way.... Today in the News Weekend Edition Part 2 1/26/2014:

Opening Statement:
For the first time in months we will not have a meaningful football game today. Yes we still have 1 game remaining but the Super Bowl is played next week. This week we have the Pro Bowl from Hawaii but that game doesn't count and it doesn't start until 430pm PST so what will football fans do after Good Day Sacramento? I can't answer for everyone but I will be writing my recap of Good Day Sacramento Weekend. Will it involve Cody? Will Cody be back?

What did take place Today in the News?....

Quick Thought:
While it was nice to see Cody back it was clear he was not 100% but he battled his way in and gave us good quality TV. We had some GREAT stories today on Good Day Sacramento that included Grammy talk with Nina and Mark S. Allen. We also saw sweet Valentine treats from a local business and Tina Dishin from Bravo's in Elk Grove, Eleanor was Dishin on Celebrity gossip including Beiber fever that comes with a headache. Also shown today was Quinceanera Expo, Mimi's Cafe, Trains and more.....

Recap:

7am:
The show kicked off with the good news Cody was back but it was apparent he was not 100% but Eleanor had another GREAT Ask Eleanor segment. Love listening to her talk about Bieber. Cambi was checking out the Outdoor Pickers Market in Roseville, Melissa was doing Aerial Yoga and Nina was dressed to the nine dropping trivia and predictions for tonight's Grammy Awards. Finally Cody hooked up with Chef Evan to cook up a bacon bowl.

8am:
In the GREAT 8 Cambi was checking out the City Brew Food Trolley. Melissa was showing us more from Aerial Yoga. Cody and Chef Evan finished the bacon bowl. Lori was talking to Mrs. Kay's Sweet Treats. Cody and Amy talked to Gabe from Travelzoo and Nina was checking out a local drum maker. These drums are beautiful.

9am:
The 9am hour was extremely busy but had a lot of GREAT stories. Nina was checking out the Quinceanera Expo. Melissa was playing with fire at the Home and Landscape Expo and Cambi was learning about Solar energy at the Western Railway Museum. Gabe from Travelzoo was back with more deals. Jason is looking for truck tracker ideas for the week and next weekend. Finally we had 2 GREAT Stories. The first was about 2 sisters living with a distance between them looking to kickstart a project where they can take photos from each of their locations to share with everyone. Anyone who has family far away would appreciate this and I encourage you to donate to the cause even if it was just $5, $10. I believe in this kickstarter. The other story that touched my heart was about Cherish Blattler who ran a half marathon weeks after having cancer surgery. I love inspirational stories like these 2. It puts life in perspective and no matter what we might have in our life someone out there is going through the same things. Cody went home ill... more on that in Final Thoughts.

10am:
The 10am hour had Cambi learning more from Western Railway Museum. Nina was at the Quinceanera looking at more beautiful dresses. Melissa was learning how to make and paint custom counter tops and the Landscape Expo. Nina and Mark S. Allen joined with Amy and Lori to talk Grammy Nominees and predictions. Lori learned how to put on special messages on Sweet treats. Amy previewed the new business Pop Basics from San Francisco that sends a new outfit in a box. In addition to that Amy also previewed the Mimi's Cafe Bread Pudding. Lori had the Hot Headlines.

Final Thoughts:
Today's show was pretty special. I really loved the 2 stories in the 9am hour about trial and tribulations. Anybody who knows having surgery it is hard enough to get up and get going right away but to run a marathon just weeks after cancer surgery, Cherish we are handing out awards tonight on the Grammy's but you deserve a metal for your will power and inspiration. Thank you for that awesome story. The other story I loved was of the 2 sisters trying to connect through pictures with their Kickstarter idea. I love stories like you shared. I wish both of you good luck.

You may have noticed at 930 Cody was no longer there. Cody gave it the old college try but just couldn't finish it out with his flu. I love Cody as a brother and I need to be honest. I am worried about him. I want nothing bad to happen to anyone but it's people like Cody I would be devastated should anything go wrong with him. Get Well Soon and know that all your friends, family and fans love you very much. Don't rush back.

During the 10am hour a new photo was posted to Facebook. Kristin Marshall had a baby girl... Charlotte she was born January 22, 2014. Congrats to you and all of you in the Marshall Family.  Charoltte
