Final Thoughts:
Driverless cars, Ice Cream, Camera Guys Zip Lining and Super Bowl Giveaway all highlight Today in the News but the one story that really made a difference was of the local Tracy girl Bowling for Dollars to raise money for her local Pet Shelter. One cool thing to happen in the 9am hour of Good Day Sacrmento was Camera Guy Dave and Courtney zip lining. Loved the camera angles. But what else took place Today in the News....
My58:
Because My58 doesn't give me much content I decided to use the Driverless car story that everyone had. Is this really the waive of the future? Are wen going to see cars driving themselves down the road soon... It appears that way. More on this story as it develops.
Fox40:
Fox40 had a couple of stories that caught my eye. The first being Sugar Daddies in Davis looking to find a new menu item for their ice cream/yogurt shop. Now through April you can vote on your favorite flavor. ***Sorry this is not college girls looking for someone to pay their way through school... please do not send me junk mail. This is an ICE CREAM competition.*** The other stories that I like are... River Cats Hiring event, and El Fornaio in the kitchen today. Love this place.
Good Day Sacramento:
Show and Tell Courtney showed a Bunny lamp that has the bulb as the Bunny tail.
The 5am was very busy today. Besides the staples of Question of the Day, Marianne's Daily List, 5am Club Member it also included Mark live from KHTK radio for their BIG GAME GIVEAWAY and Mark talked to the Savior of the Kings Carmichael Dave. Doug was back in Detroit for the Car show and Ken issued an apology for wrong info on the Donut Shop from Yesterday.
The 6am hour stayed just as busy with Doug doing another segment from Detroit, Mark continued getting details from the KHTK giveaway, Amy was visiting with our resident Plant Lady, Marlene Simon talking about Succulents and Julissa had a GREAT app that can be used for Android users only for now that controls your phone when you are driving and finds your car.
The 7am hour of Good Day Sacramento Doug was back from Detroit one final time. Ken talked to Sharon from CNet about new Electronics coming out. Mark continued from KHTK and Amy continued with the plant lady for a DIY project. Ken and Marianne talked to a local Tracy girl bowling for Dollars to raise money for Tracy Pet Shelter.
In the 8am hour Amy talked to the surgeons that helped a dog breath better from his illness at UC Davis. Cambi was checking out a local Gym in Yuba City that trains Baseball players. Marianne talked to the people of HGTV Dream House Giveaway. Courtney went Zip lining with Extreme Engineering and the #9amtopic was introduced as well as Teen's Tunes played from 70's and 80's
The final hour (9am) Our guides consisted of Julissa, Laura, and Mark. They talked about the #9amtopic, Cambi continued from Elite Fitness in Yuba City. Tina talked to Cutthroat Kitchen Winner Mike Midgley, You can see Mike at Ernie's Food and Spirits as their Executive Chef. Ken had our Manly Minute. Mark talked to Ice Cube and Kevin Hart about their new movie "Ride Along" and Courtney and Camera Guy Dave went extreme Snowboarding and Zip Lining. Camera Guy Dave zip lining was so cool to see. Finally we met another newborn baby 49'er fan born just 5 days ago.
Quick Thought:
Before I get to the final thought on the shows I want to address something. So please allow me to pull out my soapbox. When I started Today in the News it was to bring fun things to do in and around the area or share human interest stories. My58 makes it very hard to do that. The word fun means bad jokes for them. When I started watching the show today it was so boring I had to slap myself to stay awake. Yes I get they are a news agency but can you lighten up. Do I need business news every hour. Give it to me once and move on. I will still cover their station but to be honest that Olympic break I'm taking from them next month I'm looking forward to. Don't worry Good Day Sacramento will be done everyday as I anticipate Fox40 will be as well but step your game up My58 stop putting people to sleep. Come on Lisa & Mae you're former Good Day Sacramento cast members let go have fun. Off soapbox.
The other 2 shows today did well. Of course my focus was on Good Day Sacramento as it always is and will be but Fox did well and Zohreen was back.
Good Day Sacramento you do what you do so well I wish I could talk you into a show dedicated to behind the scenes. All the people that work on the show in front of and behind work so hard and it would be a ratings success. I promise you I will promote the HELL out of it. Think about it for sweeps please even if it was the weekend show with Cody & Amy.

Final Thoughts:
Driverless cars, Ice Cream, Camera Guys Zip Lining and Super Bowl Giveaway all highlight Today in the News but the one story that really made a difference was of the local Tracy girl Bowling for Dollars to raise money for her local Pet Shelter. One cool thing to happen in the 9am hour of Good Day Sacrmento was Camera Guy Dave and Courtney zip lining. Loved the camera angles. But what else took place Today in the News....
My58:
Because My58 doesn't give me much content I decided to use the Driverless car story that everyone had. Is this really the waive of the future? Are wen going to see cars driving themselves down the road soon... It appears that way. More on this story as it develops.
Fox40:
Fox40 had a couple of stories that caught my eye. The first being Sugar Daddies in Davis looking to find a new menu item for their ice cream/yogurt shop. Now through April you can vote on your favorite flavor. ***Sorry this is not college girls looking for someone to pay their way through school... please do not send me junk mail. This is an ICE CREAM competition.*** The other stories that I like are... River Cats Hiring event, and El Fornaio in the kitchen today. Love this place.
Good Day Sacramento:
Show and Tell Courtney showed a Bunny lamp that has the bulb as the Bunny tail.
The 5am was very busy today. Besides the staples of Question of the Day, Marianne's Daily List, 5am Club Member it also included Mark live from KHTK radio for their BIG GAME GIVEAWAY and Mark talked to the Savior of the Kings Carmichael Dave. Doug was back in Detroit for the Car show and Ken issued an apology for wrong info on the Donut Shop from Yesterday.
The 6am hour stayed just as busy with Doug doing another segment from Detroit, Mark continued getting details from the KHTK giveaway, Amy was visiting with our resident Plant Lady, Marlene Simon talking about Succulents and Julissa had a GREAT app that can be used for Android users only for now that controls your phone when you are driving and finds your car.
The 7am hour of Good Day Sacramento Doug was back from Detroit one final time. Ken talked to Sharon from CNet about new Electronics coming out. Mark continued from KHTK and Amy continued with the plant lady for a DIY project. Ken and Marianne talked to a local Tracy girl bowling for Dollars to raise money for Tracy Pet Shelter.
In the 8am hour Amy talked to the surgeons that helped a dog breath better from his illness at UC Davis. Cambi was checking out a local Gym in Yuba City that trains Baseball players. Marianne talked to the people of HGTV Dream House Giveaway. Courtney went Zip lining with Extreme Engineering and the #9amtopic was introduced as well as Teen's Tunes played from 70's and 80's
The final hour (9am) Our guides consisted of Julissa, Laura, and Mark. They talked about the #9amtopic, Cambi continued from Elite Fitness in Yuba City. Tina talked to Cutthroat Kitchen Winner Mike Midgley, You can see Mike at Ernie's Food and Spirits as their Executive Chef. Ken had our Manly Minute. Mark talked to Ice Cube and Kevin Hart about their new movie "Ride Along" and Courtney and Camera Guy Dave went extreme Snowboarding and Zip Lining. Camera Guy Dave zip lining was so cool to see. Finally we met another newborn baby 49'er fan born just 5 days ago.
Quick Thought:
Before I get to the final thought on the shows I want to address something. So please allow me to pull out my soapbox. When I started Today in the News it was to bring fun things to do in and around the area or share human interest stories. My58 makes it very hard to do that. The word fun means bad jokes for them. When I started watching the show today it was so boring I had to slap myself to stay awake. Yes I get they are a news agency but can you lighten up. Do I need business news every hour. Give it to me once and move on. I will still cover their station but to be honest that Olympic break I'm taking from them next month I'm looking forward to. Don't worry Good Day Sacramento will be done everyday as I anticipate Fox40 will be as well but step your game up My58 stop putting people to sleep. Come on Lisa & Mae you're former Good Day Sacramento cast members let go have fun. Off soapbox.
The other 2 shows today did well. Of course my focus was on Good Day Sacramento as it always is and will be but Fox did well and Zohreen was back.
Good Day Sacramento you do what you do so well I wish I could talk you into a show dedicated to behind the scenes. All the people that work on the show in front of and behind work so hard and it would be a ratings success. I promise you I will promote the HELL out of it. Think about it for sweeps please even if it was the weekend show with Cody & Amy.
