I Went Down to my Local Arena...Today in the News 1/28/2014:
Opening Statement:
A couple of stories I will be following are about basketball. The first, Sacramento Kings are unveiling a new look at the new arena that is to be built by 2016. That unveiling is going to season ticket holders and media outlets, so once that is released I will know.
The other story I am following is about a local High School team, As you know during High School football I cover the Sheldon Huskies. The reason for that is because my niece is a former student there and now the school is in trouble. Not over football but Basketball. They apparently made several mistakes that involves recruiting. This is sad because the 4 years my niece attended the team was so good they brought the school 4 championships. in the section. As much as I don't want to believer they are guilty all signs point otherwise. This is sad for the school, kids and everyone who's attending this school. The school did wrong but the kids are the ones being hurt because 5 players can't play.

In the 6am hour on Good Day Sacramento Marianne, Ken, and Mark talked to Grammy Winner Gloria Gaynor about her new book We Will Survive. Marianne had a GREAT Daily Joe talking about a special father dying of cancer and what he is doing for his daughter. Sean chatted with Kings President about the new arena and Amy was checking out a custom car/bike shop that won at the Easy Rider show a couple of weeks ago.
7am:
In this hour Ken and Mark talked to Cnet Editor Sharon about Super Bowl apps to download. Amy continued from Loose Cannon.. The address on the Good Day Sacramento page appears to be wrong. During the segment the owner gave a different address which I have listed above. Tina talked about a cat adoption event taking place this weekend and finally name the Bobcat at Micke Zoo in Lodi. I think we should name it Cody after Cody Stark. Mark had part 1 of his entertainment report including the possible break up of Motley Crew.
8am:
The GREAT 8 we saw part 2 of Mark's entertainment report with Kristin Stewart wanting a head tattoo. Tina was talking healty choices for Super Bowl eating. Tina was the DJ for Teen's Tunes. Cambi was learning how to shop for clean foods with Fitness Rangers. and Amy was showing 3D nail art and Henna Art. The #9amtopic was introduced... You Know I'm Mad When____
9am
This hour we saw Julissa and Laura guide us through the hour and today's #9amtopic as well as Julissa bringing us the Trending topics of the day including a video of Marines doing a version of Grease Lightening. Cambi continued checking out healthy food at Bel Air with Fitness Rangers. Amy continued showing us Henna art and Courtney shared of a local Stockton woman renting out prom dresses for girls in need. Ken had a GREAT Manly Minute talking about signs of when she is mad. and Tina is bowling for breast cancer so she wants to know who should be on her bowling team in Final Question of the Day.
Final Thoughts:
All the shows today covered a varity of topics and some of the same one such as the Arena and State of Downtown. I really liked the Google Sunglass from My58 and cooking segment on Fox40. But it was Good Day Sacramento that I enjoyed the most of all. All the way through today I felt like that had the most entertaining topics as well as the information they gave with it. I am curious to know why Marianne left mid show but chances are I will never find out. The Henna Art was cool but my question is when or how does it come off?
Program reminder this week.... Friday will once again be a Good Day Exclusive for Today in the News and will remain that way until at least following Valentines Day which is on a Friday. So basicly the next 3 Friday's will be only Good Day.

The show kicked off with Julissa showing her latest DIY Project in Show and Tell. This headboard she made only cost $35. In the 5am hour Question of the day was asked how you conserve water, Mark had News of the Weird, Mariane had her Daily List. The 5am Club Member was introduced and so was today's Show us Yours... What you need to survive

In the 6am hour on Good Day Sacramento Marianne, Ken, and Mark talked to Grammy Winner Gloria Gaynor about her new book We Will Survive. Marianne had a GREAT Daily Joe talking about a special father dying of cancer and what he is doing for his daughter. Sean chatted with Kings President about the new arena and Amy was checking out a custom car/bike shop that won at the Easy Rider show a couple of weeks ago.
7am:
In this hour Ken and Mark talked to Cnet Editor Sharon about Super Bowl apps to download. Amy continued from Loose Cannon.. The address on the Good Day Sacramento page appears to be wrong. During the segment the owner gave a different address which I have listed above. Tina talked about a cat adoption event taking place this weekend and finally name the Bobcat at Micke Zoo in Lodi. I think we should name it Cody after Cody Stark. Mark had part 1 of his entertainment report including the possible break up of Motley Crew.
8am:
The GREAT 8 we saw part 2 of Mark's entertainment report with Kristin Stewart wanting a head tattoo. Tina was talking healty choices for Super Bowl eating. Tina was the DJ for Teen's Tunes. Cambi was learning how to shop for clean foods with Fitness Rangers. and Amy was showing 3D nail art and Henna Art. The #9amtopic was introduced... You Know I'm Mad When____
9am
This hour we saw Julissa and Laura guide us through the hour and today's #9amtopic as well as Julissa bringing us the Trending topics of the day including a video of Marines doing a version of Grease Lightening. Cambi continued checking out healthy food at Bel Air with Fitness Rangers. Amy continued showing us Henna art and Courtney shared of a local Stockton woman renting out prom dresses for girls in need. Ken had a GREAT Manly Minute talking about signs of when she is mad. and Tina is bowling for breast cancer so she wants to know who should be on her bowling team in Final Question of the Day.
Final Thoughts:
All the shows today covered a varity of topics and some of the same one such as the Arena and State of Downtown. I really liked the Google Sunglass from My58 and cooking segment on Fox40. But it was Good Day Sacramento that I enjoyed the most of all. All the way through today I felt like that had the most entertaining topics as well as the information they gave with it. I am curious to know why Marianne left mid show but chances are I will never find out. The Henna Art was cool but my question is when or how does it come off?
Program reminder this week.... Friday will once again be a Good Day Exclusive for Today in the News and will remain that way until at least following Valentines Day which is on a Friday. So basicly the next 3 Friday's will be only Good Day.
