Remembering A Legend / Cody Fights Fire... Today in the News 6/25/2014:
Opening Statement:
People?
I don't know if I am old or not but I still remember my mom telling me "If You Have Nothing Nice To Say, Say Nothing At All." Does anyone else remember this saying?
As you know 2 weeks ago I was attacked via Cyber Bullying when a woman told called me a stalker and a weirdo and told me "Get a life" As you may remember that hurt me pretty hard and still does. Yesterday at the gym a child about the age of 12 called his mother a "B". If I ever said that to my mom my mouth would be full of soap plus it was in a public place. Yesterday afternoon I had a Facebook conversation who insisted that the Hidden Cash fun was fake and a scam. The reader also proceeded to call me and all of Good Day Sacramento as well as Jason Buzi aka Hidden Cash all liars. I tried on several attempts to understand this reason she believed this.Then she said she would only believe the story if I delivered cash. Again I tried to reason with her but to no avail so I just gave up trying.
What happened to nice people? Why are kids calling their parents the "B" I just need to shake my head sometimes because I just don't understand why there is so much negativity.

In this hour the question of the day was Why is Mark S. Allen late? Many guesses from Marianne Key related. Tina Bodily Gas. Cody Super Hero, SAP Watching World Cup. Viewers Ran out gas or was listening to a song on the radio. Real Answer - CHP was making him drive slow. It's a Double Show Us Yours with Running photos and favorite cheese. Marianne was Nutty in her Healthy snack Daily List. Ken show a Hawk who's job is to keep birds away at Wimbledon. Mark With News of the Weird talked about a woman who was kicked out of a Zoo for singing and feeding cookies to the Lion. Julissa was in Folsom getting a full body workout on at 9Rounds. 30 minutes and you can too.

This hour saw Julissa going behind the scenes and checking out the Painted Ladies Rodeo costumes. Mark had Infotainment news on how you can win tickets to see Idina Menzel. It was the ALL puppy edition of Marianne's Daily Joe that included a Pit Bull running with a Deer, A puppy dancing and a puppy teaching a girl to crawl.
7am:
Mark told Justin Bieber was involved in a car crash. Mark talked to our little buddy Aaron from New York. Julissa continued looking at the custom preparation of the Painted Ladies. 15 year old Max from Rancho Cordova is up for the Peta Award of Cutest Vegan. You can now vote for him by using the link above. Jason gave a Truck Tracker update as he is looking for a Beast story idea.
8am:
In the 8am hour Cody was playing his inner Johnny Gage at Roseville Fire Kids Camp. Cambi was at The Rind trying different cheeses. Teens Tunes was played and today Ken and Laura played pretty close to each other. Mark had more Infotainment that included Tom Cruise getting a role in Star Wars Episode 7. Mark also chatted with Aaron from Central Park. The Kitchen was in studio pairing wine with foods including wine with a cheeseburger.
9am:
In this hour Cody used the Jaws of Life and was like a kid in the Candy Store. HE LOVED IT and having used it I can vouch for Cody it is one awesome Fire Rescue tool and the kids at Fire Camp get to use it. Mark had more infotainment news. Cambi learned more about cheese at the Rind. Ken encouraged reading in his Manly Minute for boys in the summer. Tina was Dishin With Earls BBQ in Denair. Today they brought ribs and more to the studio. Tina's final question was Who throws a really good party.

Today's edition of Marianne's Daily Joe was the ALL Dog edition. These cute pups stole the 6am hour. One dog was running with a deer, one taught a girl to crawl and the other was shaking it's groove thing.
Infotainment:
Mark had a series of Infotainment reports today throughout the show. You can meet Idina Menzel by listening to Now 100.5 at 3:57pm, Tom Cruise is joining Star Wars, Justin Bieber was involved in a crash and Ryan Seacrest's plan to take over the world is nearly complete. He has not signed on with CBS giving him a show on all 4 major networks.
Cute Vegan:
Today on Good Day Courtney introduced us to a nice young man who attends Jesuit High School and lives in Rancho Cordova. This 15-year-old "Mad" Max Cartagena is up for the finals in a Peta contest for Cutest Vegan. All you need to do is go to the site above and vote. That's it. Rodeo Ladies:
The Folsom Rodeo is next week so today on Good Day Julissa was checking out the behind the scenes on the Painted Ladies as they get ready to ride and dazzle the crowd in their beautiful costumes.
Pairings:
Today The Kitchen was in studio pairing wines with BBQ. We all love BBQ so why not add wine to as well. Ken was not the only one pairing up. Cambi was at The Rind pairing up cheese with cheese. She was also getting educated and reminding us all Cheese is a very important part of your diet.
Johnny Gage:
Growing up in the 70's and coming from a Firefighter family of course I like a lot of boys wanted to be a firefighter.
Shows like Emergency starring Randolph Mantooth aka Johnny Gage helped with that dream from its dramatic rescues to its daring fire fights. Today that show lives on through Netflix but also with shows like Chicago Fire although not as kid friendly with its adult content.
But not only is it shows like this that inspire not just boys, men but girls and women too who can do the jobs the same through training and Fire Camps like the one taking place with Roseville Fire.
Today on Good Day Sacramento Cody took us to this fire camp where kids learn all the jobs actual firefighters do without the cooking and cleaning of the Fire Station.
Your kids can also take ROP Fire Science in High School where they learn direct from the fire house and the fire fighters who live and work there. I took this class in 1987 and learned direct from then instructor Ozzy Osborn. No not the one going off the rails on a crazy train this one is a mutual friend of Cody's that I just learned today.
Back to what Cody was doing today the kids at this camp learn how to fight fire, go through the hiring stage, get out through the physical agility and learn proper rescue technique like using the Jaws of Life to save a victim trapped in a car. They also learn water rescue a very important part of fire rescue with the American River and Sacramento River in our area.
Cody even got to try the jaws and he loves it.
So if your child wants to get into the fire fighting business check with your local department as well as High School to see what programs are available.

Transformers:
As the New York Premier of Transformers 4 hits tonight Mark talked with are friend Aaron and his mom about their trip and what they have been up to since arriving in New York. Today he was checking out Central Park.
Remembering:
5 years ago on this day we lost a music icon. It's no secret Michael Jackson had a tough childhood growing up coming from the first family of music.
Michael had his share of court battles and critics but one thing no one can deny is he is one of the best stage performers and video icons of MTV yes when they played videos not stupid TV.
We lost Michael 5 years ago today at the age of 50 after a drug overdoes. Like a commit across the evening sky he was Gone To Soon. Michael showed us what a PYT Pretty Young Thing was as he himself was a Smooth Criminal but it doesn't matter if your Black or White just Beat It because this is a Thriller and through his music He'll be there just call his name and he will Moonwalk his way over to you so You are Not Alone. Just don't make him want to Scream. So remember what he taught us and look at yourself and make that change with the Man in the Mirror.

In this hour the question of the day was Why is Mark S. Allen late? Many guesses from Marianne Key related. Tina Bodily Gas. Cody Super Hero, SAP Watching World Cup. Viewers Ran out gas or was listening to a song on the radio. Real Answer - CHP was making him drive slow. It's a Double Show Us Yours with Running photos and favorite cheese. Marianne was Nutty in her Healthy snack Daily List. Ken show a Hawk who's job is to keep birds away at Wimbledon. Mark With News of the Weird talked about a woman who was kicked out of a Zoo for singing and feeding cookies to the Lion. Julissa was in Folsom getting a full body workout on at 9Rounds. 30 minutes and you can too.
6am:
This hour saw Julissa going behind the scenes and checking out the Painted Ladies Rodeo costumes. Mark had Infotainment news on how you can win tickets to see Idina Menzel. It was the ALL puppy edition of Marianne's Daily Joe that included a Pit Bull running with a Deer, A puppy dancing and a puppy teaching a girl to crawl.
7am:
Mark told Justin Bieber was involved in a car crash. Mark talked to our little buddy Aaron from New York. Julissa continued looking at the custom preparation of the Painted Ladies. 15 year old Max from Rancho Cordova is up for the Peta Award of Cutest Vegan. 8am:
In the 8am hour Cody was playing his inner Johnny Gage at Roseville Fire Kids Camp. Cambi was at The Rind trying different cheeses. Teens Tunes was played and today Ken and Laura played pretty close to each other. Mark had more Infotainment that included Tom Cruise getting a role in Star Wars Episode 7. Mark also chatted with Aaron from Central Park. The Kitchen was in studio pairing wine with foods including wine with a cheeseburger.
9am:
In this hour Cody used the Jaws of Life and was like a kid in the Candy Store. HE LOVED IT and having used it I can vouch for Cody it is one awesome Fire Rescue tool and the kids at Fire Camp get to use it. Mark had more infotainment news. Cambi learned more about cheese at the Rind. Ken encouraged reading in his Manly Minute for boys in the summer. Tina was Dishin With Earls BBQ in Denair. Today they brought ribs and more to the studio. Tina's final question was Who throws a really good party.

Today's edition of Marianne's Daily Joe was the ALL Dog edition. These cute pups stole the 6am hour. One dog was running with a deer, one taught a girl to crawl and the other was shaking it's groove thing.
Infotainment:
Mark had a series of Infotainment reports today throughout the show. You can meet Idina Menzel by listening to Now 100.5 at 3:57pm, Tom Cruise is joining Star Wars, Justin Bieber was involved in a crash and Ryan Seacrest's plan to take over the world is nearly complete. He has not signed on with CBS giving him a show on all 4 major networks.
Cute Vegan:
Today on Good Day Courtney introduced us to a nice young man who attends Jesuit High School and lives in Rancho Cordova. This 15-year-old "Mad" Max Cartagena is up for the finals in a Peta contest for Cutest Vegan. All you need to do is go to the site above and vote. That's it. Rodeo Ladies:
The Folsom Rodeo is next week so today on Good Day Julissa was checking out the behind the scenes on the Painted Ladies as they get ready to ride and dazzle the crowd in their beautiful costumes.
Pairings:
Today The Kitchen was in studio pairing wines with BBQ. We all love BBQ so why not add wine to as well. Ken was not the only one pairing up. Cambi was at The Rind pairing up cheese with cheese. She was also getting educated and reminding us all Cheese is a very important part of your diet.
Johnny Gage:
Growing up in the 70's and coming from a Firefighter family of course I like a lot of boys wanted to be a firefighter.
Shows like Emergency starring Randolph Mantooth aka Johnny Gage helped with that dream from its dramatic rescues to its daring fire fights. Today that show lives on through Netflix but also with shows like Chicago Fire although not as kid friendly with its adult content.
But not only is it shows like this that inspire not just boys, men but girls and women too who can do the jobs the same through training and Fire Camps like the one taking place with Roseville Fire.
Today on Good Day Sacramento Cody took us to this fire camp where kids learn all the jobs actual firefighters do without the cooking and cleaning of the Fire Station.
Your kids can also take ROP Fire Science in High School where they learn direct from the fire house and the fire fighters who live and work there. I took this class in 1987 and learned direct from then instructor Ozzy Osborn. No not the one going off the rails on a crazy train this one is a mutual friend of Cody's that I just learned today.
Back to what Cody was doing today the kids at this camp learn how to fight fire, go through the hiring stage, get out through the physical agility and learn proper rescue technique like using the Jaws of Life to save a victim trapped in a car. They also learn water rescue a very important part of fire rescue with the American River and Sacramento River in our area.
Cody even got to try the jaws and he loves it.
So if your child wants to get into the fire fighting business check with your local department as well as High School to see what programs are available.

Today's Edition of Teen's Tunes 3 in a row saw a rematch of Ken taking on Laura with Mark also taking part. I called it a tie between the 3 so no clear cut domination today.
Manly Minute:
Today's Manly Minute was full of education. Today Ken talked about 5 good books for boys to read during the summer.

Marianne was feeling Nutty in her Daily List today talking about healthy snacks.
Transformers:
As the New York Premier of Transformers 4 hits tonight Mark talked with are friend Aaron and his mom about their trip and what they have been up to since arriving in New York. Today he was checking out Central Park.
Remembering:
5 years ago on this day we lost a music icon. It's no secret Michael Jackson had a tough childhood growing up coming from the first family of music.
Michael had his share of court battles and critics but one thing no one can deny is he is one of the best stage performers and video icons of MTV yes when they played videos not stupid TV.
We lost Michael 5 years ago today at the age of 50 after a drug overdoes. Like a commit across the evening sky he was Gone To Soon. Michael showed us what a PYT Pretty Young Thing was as he himself was a Smooth Criminal but it doesn't matter if your Black or White just Beat It because this is a Thriller and through his music He'll be there just call his name and he will Moonwalk his way over to you so You are Not Alone. Just don't make him want to Scream. So remember what he taught us and look at yourself and make that change with the Man in the Mirror.
