Opening Statement:
Leading off today's Opening Statement is the end of an era.
For 20 years CBS13/CW31 new one News Director. That has come to an end officially on Saturday with the retirement of Brent Baader.
Brent is one big reason why we the fans of Good Day Sacramento watch it over an old tired broken down 3 hours old Today Show.
It was the vision of Brent that brought Good Day Sacramento to us 19 years ago in August.
Brent has made some tough decisions in his 20 years but some of his best include Marianne, Mark, Cody, Tina, Courtney, Lori, Sean, Cambi, Audrey, Kristin, Julissa, Ken, Amy, Melissa, Laura, and all the great men and women behind the scenes at Good Day Sacramento.
We the fans should be forever grateful to Brent and his work and vision at Good Day Sacramento.
As Brent starts his new chapter in life I wish him nothing but a happy healthy and of course restful retirement. May he spend time traveling, going to the local fishing hole or just relaxing at home. I thank you for everything you've done not only for me but all of the fans like Janet, Ruben, Angie, Barbara, Christy, Jenn, Dan, Kat, Julie, Wendy, Karen, Al and the 10's of thousands of others.

It's like Christmas in June this hour. Eleanor was in with all her juicy gossip about the Big View Shake Up. Heather was in Stockton checking out Yum Yum Donuts but they sell more than just donuts. They have sandwiches too. Nina was with 2 young music prodigies who have been playing since the age of 2. Melissa was in Davis for the Special Olympics with 2 of its swimming athletes. Cody and Amy talked with a friend of Cody's wife Carol who keep having his San Francisco apartment destroyed by Hollywood in movies. His apartment has been destroyed by Godzilla and soon by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
8am:
In the GREAT 8 hour of the show Jackie Boor was in studio to talk about her new book "Logan" about her Great Grandfather. You can see Jackie at the State Fair next month. Heather was in Stockton checking to see if Stockton had the Hottest Woman according to a new app. Nina was on the farm in heels learning all about planting pumpkins. Melissa was in Galt checking out 2 Gold Medal swimmers helping out an event there. Tina was Dishin High Hand Cafe/Nursery in Loomis.
9am:
In this hour Sexy Boo BBQ showed off his amazing BBQ sauce that had Cody wanting more. So much more he did 2 segments with them. Melissa was checking out Purely Princess where these ladies make your daughters dreams come true making them into Disney Princesses. Heather was at Festa Italiana in Stockton while Nina was previewing the Red Shoe Crawl at Zocalo in Sacramento. Amy was getting in the ring with some young boxer champions.
10am:
In this hour Red Shoe Crawl continued with Nina playing Bartender. Lori was giving Pinterest 4th of July ideas and Hot Headlines including a new Jessica Simpson Fragrance. Melissa found her inner Mermaid Disney Princess with Purely Princess, Heather turned Italian at Festa Italiana Rey y Key performed 3 songs on the Good Day Stage.

After a long 2 weeks off Nina was back and today she found herself listening to beautiful music from a 17 year old Music Prodigy. Ray has played in several places around the world and you can find him practicing someday's at Happi Musicland in Elk Grove.
Special Swimmers:
The Special Olympics are well underway in Davis this weekend so Melissa was there checking out 2 special swimmers. Melissa was not prepared for the pool so she challenged them to a Swim/Dance off. While they swam she danced the Roger Rabbit.
Then Melissa headed to Galt where 2 Gold Medal Olympic Swimmers were lending a helpful hand at a very special event.
Yum Yum:
Heather started the day off with a little breakfast and then went right into lunch while at Yum Yum Donuts in Stockton. Yes this 24 hour donut shop not only has donuts but sandwiches too. Yum Yum Donuts is located in Stockton
Farmin' With Nina:
Ever wondered what it's like to be on the Farm? Nina was checking out how to plant pumpkins so they are ready for Halloween.
Princess Melissa:
Melissa was at a birthday party for princesses where she even became the Mermaid Princess.You can hire these princesses for your next party from Purely Princess

If you love Italian then Stockton is the place to be today with Festa Italiana where Heather spent 2 hours of Good Day previewing. The event continues until 6pm today.

Lori not only does the Hot Headlines today but she brought back a very popular segment for the 4th of July. Pinertest Idea's with Lori made a return to Good Day after along break.
Slap You:
Cody can't slap Kevin but he can slap all of us with Science and he did today. This too made a long awaited return to Good Day.
They're Back:
Nina was back after 2 weekends off and Melissa a week off both returned to the Good Day Airwaves. It was so great to have both ladies back.

It's like Christmas in June this hour. Eleanor was in with all her juicy gossip about the Big View Shake Up. Heather was in Stockton checking out Yum Yum Donuts but they sell more than just donuts. They have sandwiches too. Nina was with 2 young music prodigies who have been playing since the age of 2. Melissa was in Davis for the Special Olympics with 2 of its swimming athletes. Cody and Amy talked with a friend of Cody's wife Carol who keep having his San Francisco apartment destroyed by Hollywood in movies. His apartment has been destroyed by Godzilla and soon by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
8am:
In the GREAT 8 hour of the show Jackie Boor was in studio to talk about her new book "Logan" about her Great Grandfather. You can see Jackie at the State Fair next month. Heather was in Stockton checking to see if Stockton had the Hottest Woman according to a new app. Nina was on the farm in heels learning all about planting pumpkins. Melissa was in Galt checking out 2 Gold Medal swimmers helping out an event there. Tina was Dishin High Hand Cafe/Nursery in Loomis.
9am:
In this hour Sexy Boo BBQ showed off his amazing BBQ sauce that had Cody wanting more. So much more he did 2 segments with them. Melissa was checking out Purely Princess where these ladies make your daughters dreams come true making them into Disney Princesses. Heather was at Festa Italiana in Stockton while Nina was previewing the Red Shoe Crawl at Zocalo in Sacramento. Amy was getting in the ring with some young boxer champions.
10am:
In this hour Red Shoe Crawl continued with Nina playing Bartender. Lori was giving Pinterest 4th of July ideas and Hot Headlines including a new Jessica Simpson Fragrance. Melissa found her inner Mermaid Disney Princess with Purely Princess, Heather turned Italian at Festa Italiana Rey y Key performed 3 songs on the Good Day Stage.

Music Prodigy:
After a long 2 weeks off Nina was back and today she found herself listening to beautiful music from a 17 year old Music Prodigy. Ray has played in several places around the world and you can find him practicing someday's at Happi Musicland in Elk Grove.
Special Swimmers:
The Special Olympics are well underway in Davis this weekend so Melissa was there checking out 2 special swimmers. Melissa was not prepared for the pool so she challenged them to a Swim/Dance off. While they swam she danced the Roger Rabbit.
Then Melissa headed to Galt where 2 Gold Medal Olympic Swimmers were lending a helpful hand at a very special event.
Yum Yum:
Heather started the day off with a little breakfast and then went right into lunch while at Yum Yum Donuts in Stockton. Yes this 24 hour donut shop not only has donuts but sandwiches too. Yum Yum Donuts is located in Stockton
Farmin' With Nina:
Ever wondered what it's like to be on the Farm? Nina was checking out how to plant pumpkins so they are ready for Halloween.
Princess Melissa:
Melissa was at a birthday party for princesses where she even became the Mermaid Princess.You can hire these princesses for your next party from Purely Princess
Italiana:
If you love Italian then Stockton is the place to be today with Festa Italiana where Heather spent 2 hours of Good Day previewing. The event continues until 6pm today.
Dishin:
Hide Hand Cafe/Nursery in Loomis was today's edition Dishin With Tina. This very unique cafe is surround by beautiful scenery and all the ingredients come from the local nursery.

A New app has Stockton all a buzz with a new app that shows Stockton women are among the hottest in the nation. One thing is for sure that study was true today with Heather covering the story.
Sexy Boo BQQ had all the Good Day crew especially Cody feeling Sexy. This local company has teamed up with a local food truck to get there HOT Sexy BBQ Sauce out on the market. Ask for it by name Sexy Boo BBQ.
Pinteresting:
Lori not only does the Hot Headlines today but she brought back a very popular segment for the 4th of July. Pinertest Idea's with Lori made a return to Good Day after along break.
Slap You:
Cody can't slap Kevin but he can slap all of us with Science and he did today. This too made a long awaited return to Good Day.
They're Back:
Nina was back after 2 weekends off and Melissa a week off both returned to the Good Day Airwaves. It was so great to have both ladies back.
