Dinosaur Eats TV's Heather Brent.... Today in the News Weekend Edition Part 1 8/28/2014:
Opening Statement:
Lots of TV News To talk about today in this Opening. First the announcement came down yesterday afternoon that the NEW Doctor Who will begin August 23. The new doctor will be played by Peter Capaldi for Season 8.
As a reminder Season 2 of Under The Doom is Monday at 9pm on CBS 13 in Sacramento. Out of this market look on your CBS Networks for the time. I will have much more on this show Monday.
The other day I said the Season Premier was Thursday for Girl Meets World. I was incorrect in that because the actual premier was Friday night. It is simular to Boy Meets World but it is also very different. Because I want the show to work I am giving it a chance because if I based it off of last nights show the network has some fixing to do. The 2 girls are good but the new Shawn (Maya) is trying to hard to rebell. The new Corey (Riley) is him but she does a good job. My BIGGEST complaint about the show was the laugh track. It was being used way too much. At almost every scene right in the middle of it the laugh track would go off cutting out the audio of the scene. Boy Meets World worked so well because the show created it's own laughter with the viewers. I don't know if Girl Meets World has the 7 year staying power as Boy did in the 90's but it can and hopefully will get better as the show evolves.
The next show will be July 11 and Yes, I will be watching. Mainly to see if they fixed some of the issues but like I said I want it to work. The overnight ratings our out. 5.2 Million watched the premier. 1.8 million were ages 18-49

In this very busy first hour we found out today's Show us yours was Favorite Treasure. The #GDSJustCurious topic was Favorite Food from a distant place. Amy did news and Cody weather with Melissa on vacation and Lori, Tina both off. Heather was at a Stockton Rummage sale benefiting cancer patients. Cambi was checking out the Gumbo Ya Ya in Sacramento. Jason asked for truck tracker ideas and Christianne was checking out Treasures and Trailers.
8am:
The busy show continues with Heather in Stockton checking out Dinosaurs. Cambi continued from Gumbo Ya Ya. Christianne continued from Treasures and Trailers. Gabe from Travelzoo shared some great travel ideas. Amy was with 17 year old Emma Kate Brown who created and now sells Loops - Loops are hair ties and you can find them at several stores in the area. The 838 stretch was done.Cody talked with Optimus Prime about Transformers. Okay it was really a kid in his cool costume.
9am:
In this hour Dani Joy took the stage and OMG! I am blown away. Cambi was celebrating at Florez Bar and Grill. They have been serving authentic Mexican food for 33 years. Christianne was checking out the new fireworks for this year that go on sale today. Heather was continuing to walk the dinosaurs at Stockton Arena. Cody was with Elk Grove Medical Spa trying out a new stomach treatment. Gabe was back with more Travelzoo ideas.
10am:
In the final hour of today's show Amy checked out M'Bellish Mobile Boutique with some of the great fashion and accessories Morgan brought in. Heather was Bumpin at the Bump Music Fest in Stockton. Dani Joy performed more on the Good Day Stage including the Soft Kitty Challenge. Cambi was at the Grand Opening of Tilly's at Arden Fair Mall. Christianne was in Fair Oaks as they get set to perform The Brain from Planet X. This musical play features Christianne and Cody will be featured next Sunday. Jason gave a truck tracker update for Sunday and it is going to be jammed packed action from 7am-11am.

Gumbo:
Gumbo Ya Ya is back in Woodland and Cambi was trying it out all the Gumbo and more. This event continues until 9pm tonight at the YOLO County Fairgrounds.
Rummage:
This special sale in Stockton benefits patients with cancers with proceeds going to cancer patients in the Stockton area. Heather was here checking this out
Fireworks:
Many people want to know this year why Fireworks are not banned with the drought. Fireworks are not banned because Non Profits depend on the sales too much. It is our job as adults to just be smart and remember to stay away from grass, houses and DON"T put in the garbage right after. Make sure you place into a bucket of water. and have the hose ready in case of a spark. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!
Dinosaurs:
Dinosaurs invaded Stockton so Heather headed out to see what it was all about and sure enough when she arrived at Stockton Arena she was attacked by a GIANT Dinosaur but she told the dinosaur she was on Mark at the Movies and it let her go but it you want to see this traveling road show head to Stockton this weekend before they go back into extinction.
Fashion:
Lots of Fashion on Good Day today. First kicking off the Fashion was 17 year old Emma Kate Brown with her Loops Hair Ties. Emma can make custom hair ties if you email her or you can get them already made at several boutiques in the Sacramento area where she has them in the stores.
M'Bellish Mobile Boutique was in studio showing off their fashion dresses, and other fashion clothes and accessories to go with it like bracelets, necklaces and bags. M'Bellish is a Mobile Boutique that comes to you for private parties so make sure you book in advance.
The final fashion on today's show was the Grand Opening of Tilly's in Arden Fair Mall where we found out Cambi once worked at the Elk Grove Location. This is a GREAT spot for Tweens and Teens to shop and especially for Back to School Fashion and Summer fun.

Dani Joy teased us last month with Tina. Today she more than teased us she made us melt in our chairs with her beautiful voice and play of the ukulele. She performed 4 songs on the Good Day Stage including the Soft Kitty Challenge.

Of course this is relevant because of the World Wide Release of Transformers 4 which opened Friday. In this very busy first hour we found out today's Show us yours was Favorite Treasure. The #GDSJustCurious topic was Favorite Food from a distant place. Amy did news and Cody weather with Melissa on vacation and Lori, Tina both off. Heather was at a Stockton Rummage sale benefiting cancer patients. Cambi was checking out the Gumbo Ya Ya in Sacramento. Jason asked for truck tracker ideas and Christianne was checking out Treasures and Trailers.
8am:
The busy show continues with Heather in Stockton checking out Dinosaurs. Cambi continued from Gumbo Ya Ya. Christianne continued from Treasures and Trailers. Gabe from Travelzoo shared some great travel ideas. Amy was with 17 year old Emma Kate Brown who created and now sells Loops - Loops are hair ties and you can find them at several stores in the area. The 838 stretch was done.Cody talked with Optimus Prime about Transformers. Okay it was really a kid in his cool costume.
9am:
In this hour Dani Joy took the stage and OMG! I am blown away. Cambi was celebrating at Florez Bar and Grill. They have been serving authentic Mexican food for 33 years. Christianne was checking out the new fireworks for this year that go on sale today. Heather was continuing to walk the dinosaurs at Stockton Arena. Cody was with Elk Grove Medical Spa trying out a new stomach treatment. Gabe was back with more Travelzoo ideas.
10am:
In the final hour of today's show Amy checked out M'Bellish Mobile Boutique with some of the great fashion and accessories Morgan brought in. Heather was Bumpin at the Bump Music Fest in Stockton. Dani Joy performed more on the Good Day Stage including the Soft Kitty Challenge. Cambi was at the Grand Opening of Tilly's at Arden Fair Mall. Christianne was in Fair Oaks as they get set to perform The Brain from Planet X. This musical play features Christianne and Cody will be featured next Sunday. Jason gave a truck tracker update for Sunday and it is going to be jammed packed action from 7am-11am.

Christianne was Gold Country Fairgrounds checking out Treasures and Trailers where admission is only $1 the event continues through Sunday.
Gumbo:
Gumbo Ya Ya is back in Woodland and Cambi was trying it out all the Gumbo and more. This event continues until 9pm tonight at the YOLO County Fairgrounds.
Rummage:
This special sale in Stockton benefits patients with cancers with proceeds going to cancer patients in the Stockton area. Heather was here checking this out
Fireworks:
Many people want to know this year why Fireworks are not banned with the drought. Fireworks are not banned because Non Profits depend on the sales too much. It is our job as adults to just be smart and remember to stay away from grass, houses and DON"T put in the garbage right after. Make sure you place into a bucket of water. and have the hose ready in case of a spark. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!
Dinosaurs:
Dinosaurs invaded Stockton so Heather headed out to see what it was all about and sure enough when she arrived at Stockton Arena she was attacked by a GIANT Dinosaur but she told the dinosaur she was on Mark at the Movies and it let her go but it you want to see this traveling road show head to Stockton this weekend before they go back into extinction.
Fashion:
Lots of Fashion on Good Day today. First kicking off the Fashion was 17 year old Emma Kate Brown with her Loops Hair Ties. Emma can make custom hair ties if you email her or you can get them already made at several boutiques in the Sacramento area where she has them in the stores.
M'Bellish Mobile Boutique was in studio showing off their fashion dresses, and other fashion clothes and accessories to go with it like bracelets, necklaces and bags. M'Bellish is a Mobile Boutique that comes to you for private parties so make sure you book in advance.
The final fashion on today's show was the Grand Opening of Tilly's in Arden Fair Mall where we found out Cambi once worked at the Elk Grove Location. This is a GREAT spot for Tweens and Teens to shop and especially for Back to School Fashion and Summer fun.

Dani Joy teased us last month with Tina. Today she more than teased us she made us melt in our chairs with her beautiful voice and play of the ukulele. She performed 4 songs on the Good Day Stage including the Soft Kitty Challenge.

We met Zander after WonderCon where Cody first met him Zander is big into Transformers and made his own Optimus Prime costume. Of course this is relevant because of the World Wide Release of Transformers 4 which opened Friday. You can see a complete recap of the movie with the stars tomorrow on CW31 at 11pm PST on Mark at the Movies with Mark S Allen, Heather Brent, Anna Wesselman, Mike Osborn, BigAl Sams and Special Guest Host Dariany Santana with guest spots by Cassidy Gard, Shawn Edward and more.

Let the music play. Dance all night long and please don't stop the music. Today on Good Day Heather was in Stockton for the 5th Annual Bump Music Festival. So get up and Boogie down to Stockton for some great music, BBQ, and Classic Car fun.
