Tears Will Fall.... Today in the News 3/5/2014:

Opening Statement:
For the last week or so I've told you about a big change coming to Today in the News... Well I am not going to delay it any longer, The good news is it's not going away. The bad news is it is taking a break. Over the next 4 days Thursday - Sunday I will be in the Southern California area for a Toy Soldier show. I make this trip every year and have since 2009. Because I am going to be gone I will be unable to view the 3 stations and Good Day Sacramento Weekday and Weekend as well as Mark at the Movies Highlights on Sunday. However Mark at the Movies will still be done but will not post until Monday afternoon. I will still check in on Good Day from time to time but the WiFi at the hotel kind of stinks so I won't be able to see it all plus I have things I need to get done that will take me away from proper viewing. 

Now with all that said I am going to try and post a Travel Blog each day with the exception of Sunday which will post Monday along with a BRAND New Edition of Today in the News featuring all 3 stations as well as Mark at the Movies Highlights.

So to recap Thursday - Sunday Today in the News as you know it will be in Vacation mode and will return Monday March 11. 

One last thought before I go Change Clocks this weekend 1 hour ahead.

Quick Thought:
Before I get to my final thought I just want to say I love when Good Day has inspirational stories. Not only did they feature Scarlett Salon and Happy Cow Creamery for Locks of Love but the girl from Sutter for Donut Dash that stole the show today. After she performed her song nothing else seem to matter totally putting life into perspective. I am so glad she shared her song and no equipment malfunction and the producers didn't cut her off. 430/5am:
In this hour of the show Cody ruled the Show and Tell with a Gallery in LA showing Velvet Wrestling art. Gallery 88 will be showing Velvet Wrestling art this month. Cody shared this story twice once at the normal time slot in the 430 and again at 5:55am with a temp of 55 so Good Day Celebrated that moment. Courtney had our 5am Club Member, Tina had Question of the day, Show us yours is Walking pictures. Mark appears to be out today so no News of the Weird. Marianne who is in the building also did not have her Daily List, This is very odd to me. 

6am:
In the 6am hour Mark appears at the California Museum helping 4th grade kids make their Missions for a class project. I think this a great idea and I still have my nieces mission that she made in the 4th grade and she is now a Freshman in college. Ken and Marianne talked to a local auction house about their rare Ming Dynasty furniture. Amy was at a local Italian restaurant who won a Clam Chowder competition and shared their winning recipe with us but would not give up the secret ingredient. Marianne had her Daily Joe that featured a father/daughter teaming up for a special workout.  

7am:
In the 7am hour Mark continued working on and talking to kids working on their Mission projects at the California Museum. Amy continued from Serritella’s tasting the Chowder and still cannot get the secret. I am guessing it might be Moonshine. Courtney was getting beauty tips from Dr. Beverly Yates from items you can get right at your local grocery/drug store. 

8am:
WOW!!! The 8am hour blew up, It was so busy I don't know how they got it all in. Cambi was learning to walk a dog from Cha Cha's. Amy was cutting hair for Locks of Love and eating Ice Cream... Okay she was eating Ice Cream. Ken and Marianne talked about the empty bowls event to benefit River City Food Bank. Teens Tunes was played and the 9am topic is introduced... I deserve a patch for.... Courtney was checking out a local Interior Designer that modifies vintage motorcycles and more using scraps. Mark wins the Live Shot of the Day. Mark was previewing the Donut Dash and Sutter Music Program but it was one little girl and her song that stole the show. It was so sweet, sad and it made everyone cry. My goal is to get this little girl National Exposure and for that I will need all your helps. Let's share the link above on Facebook, and Twitter and break the Internet with this little girls song. 

9am:
In this hour Cody and Ken guided us through the hour and today's #9amtopic. In addition Cambi continued getting tips for dog walking. Amy continued with Locks of Love and Ice Cream from Happy Cow. Tina had the final question of the day and it's Wednesday so that means it's Dishin Day and this week was Ken's choice and Riverside Club House.

Final Thoughts:
As we head into vacation mood we take a quick look back at the day. Mark was working with kids for the most part of the day first with a Mission and then the Sutter Music Program and the very special little girl who stole the show. 

Courtney was hanging with a cool interior designer for the 8 and 9am hours.

Loved Cambi and her dog walking segments as well as Cody and Ken covering the 9am hour.

Every Sunday and Wednesday are Dishin With Tina days and they are always fun. No word on who is coming up Sunday. I hope this is not the end of the Special Editions with Coworkers for this segment. I guess we will see Sunday. I will try and find out before posting this and let you know who it will be. 

The show today had it all covered from laughter to tears it was a GREAT way to end Today in the News for the week because vacation starts in 3... 2... 1.... Or around 5am tomorrow when I leave :)
