Some the the stories that caught my eye today on My58 is the court ruling for the city and Sacramento Kings most likely moving forward to build the new Downtown Arena. A boy decides to skip school then saved a 94 year old woman from a burning home. Tips on how to protect your kids teeth in sports and a dog helps a diabetic boy. Celebs that served time.

Fox40:
Today on Fox Zohreen was not on in the morning. Bethany was off and Sabrina was talking Job Fair tips, Guarding your face from sports injuries and making a pendant with Cesar Chavez Designs. In addition to that 36 Handles was in the Fox40 Kitchen cooking up Shepherds Pie or Cottage pie because it was made with ground beef not lamb. 

Good Day Sacramento:
430/5am:
To kick this hour off, Cody is not in studio and may not be in today so Amy is doing weather. Marianne had her daily list of how you might not be getting enough sleep. Courtney had the 5am Club Member and Tina's question was What lessons did you take as a kid. In a 2 for one Show and Tell Courtney showed off her new spring scent that she can't wait to wear. Ken talked about an 81 year old man who bowled a perfect game and Marianne showed a blooper from her edition of Dishin With Tina where Tina had trouble opening the door to go in. Today's Show us yours topic is Karate Kick, Today is National Kick Butt (cig) Day.

6am:
CODY IS HERE!!!  Cody was in Rocklin checking out a new workout at Crunch called Pound. Pound is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Burn between 600 and 900 calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music! Julissa was checking out the new Vic's Cafe who is getting ready for their Grand Opening on Saturday. Marianne had her Daily Joe. Marianne, Ken, and Cody talked with Brian Henson about the new season of Jim Henson's Creator Challenge on SYFY channel 

7am:
In this hour Cody continued with this performance art workout aka Pound. Mark was also back and in Auburn checking out Placer High Jazz Band. Julissa was at the Cabana Winery checking out what they have to offer. Ken and Marianne talked with Andrew Zimmern about his new season of Bizarre Food America on Travel Channel. 

8am:
In this very busy hour Cody previewed the Romeo and Juliet Auditions coming up next week in Roseville. Courtney's Got a Guy and she is a painter. Tina played Teens Tunes. From yesterday Ken talked about a local winery from Auburn using lambs to help do some of the work. Marianne and Julissa talked to Kevin Costner about his new movie Draft Day. The Daily Joe today talked about a new app that helps you avoid people. Today the #9amtopic is Who do you try to avoid. Mark was in Auburn trying to help a local family with 2 sons who both have CP. The 2 brothers are in need of a new bathroom and they need our help. If you can donate money or do the work if you are or know of a contractor willing to donate their time. 

9am:
In this final hour of the day Julissa and Laura took us home with the #9amtopic, Cody auditioning for the roll of Juliet. Mark talking with 2 Auburn brothers who need our help getting a new bathroom that benefits their special needs. Courtney has a guy but today she has a gal. It's Wednesday so today is Dishin With Tina Day and this week it was from The Sandwich Spot in Roseville with Sean and Melissa Bennett Next week she will preview Marianne's favorite spot. Tina's final question of the day was Name someone you don't avoid. 


Final Thoughts:
Today's shows had a much better feel to them from all of yesterday's breaking news and #9amtopic. 

My58 actually did pretty well today as far as fun topics. I really liked the service dog story helping a diabetic boy. I will say not having Lisa G there in the morning has a different feel but she is busy on the nighttime news casts for awhile. 

On Fox40 it felt like it could be changed to the Sabrina Rodriguez Show she was so busy doing in studio segment after segment. 
I think the Spotlight Stockton story is a good idea putting former prisoners back to work. 

On Good Day Sacramento the 430/5am hour had me worried Cody was not joining us today but sure enough unable to breathe properly Cody would appear doing a Pound workout in Rocklin before getting his Nickelback on err Juliet for the upcoming Romeo and Juliet Play auditions in Roseville. 

I love Sundays and Wednesdays with Dishin With Tina. Today was the Bennett Family (Sean &Melissa) from The Sandwich Spot in Roseville but Marianne took a bit of the spotlight showing the blooper from her taping with Tina for this Sunday. Such a funny moment. 

I'm not a drinker but I love the idea the Cabana Winery is using to pour their wine that Julissa shared with us today. 

Mark was also back today. It was cool hearing about Placer Highs Jazz band but it was the story of the day for me when a local Auburn family told their story of the 2 brothers both with Cerebral Palsy needing a bathroom remodel that is wheelchair friendly. I know this area is full of giving helping people who will help this family out either by donating money to the cause or to do the work.
