Zohreen: Shawn Zausch is riding his bike from Sacramento to SF today to raise awareness for kidney donations. He donated one to his daughter 5 years ago which inspired his son-in-law to donate one to a co-worker. His son-in-law's donation inspired someone else to donate their kidney as well. Shawn wants to keep the momentum going and hopes his ride will inspire others to donate. He also wants people to know they can lead a completely healthy life after donating a kidney.

Quick Thought:
I gave My58 another day to redeem themselves from yesterday and though they did better it still was not GREAT. I will wait and see if they make it into Today in the ?News tomorrow. One thing I liked was Former President Bush putting his paintings into a Gallery. He is really a good artist and I encourage ALL Artists to do the same. Show what you can do. Just because he was a President doesn't make your work any less important.
Announced today on Fox40 was a chance to meet the original Captain. Yes Captain Kirk aka William Shatner will be appearing at Sacramento Comic Con in March and Fox40 is giving tickets away to meet him. Stay tuned to Today in the News for your daily code to enter or DVR the 8am hour.
Today on Good Day Krispy Kreme opened and Amy made one lady wait to taste her first Krispy Kreme but it was all in fun. The Good Day men took on Sac State Woman in a basketball game.

Fox40 today talked Krispy Kreme Yuba City, Shopping Cart Sweep Yuba City, Campbell soup auction and redoing your cabinets for cheap with Sue Monday. But it was the story from Zohreen about Shawn Zausch who is riding his bike from Sacramento to San Francisco to raise awareness for Kidney donations and the sound of Poorboy Millionaire performing tonight.

Today on Show and Tell a local viewer from Tracy sent Courtney a calendar with shoes in it. Marianne had the daily list about organic Food Myths. 5am Club member Rachel caught a BIG fish. Today's Question of the Day was what event bores you. Show us your topic is Sports photos. Amy was at Krispy Kreme Grand Opening where one local man stood in line since Sunday and got to turn the Hot Light on.
6am:
Mark S. Allen arrived but not without incident. Mark accidentally cut a CHP officer off and had to have a little talking to but does issue a public PSA. Amy continued from Krispy Kreme in Yuba City. Marianne had an all animal edition of Your Daily Joe. Mark also remembers Actor Harold Ramis who past away yesterday, (Stripes, Ghostbusters) to name a few.
7am:
In this hour Amy continued from Krispy Kreme in Yuba City. Brian Cooley from Cnet talked about the new products coming out from Samsung. Marianne talked to Lisa Jander, Author about teen dating tips. Mark talked to the Sacramento team of Arm Wrestlers who are on the new AMC show premiering tonight. Mark took on Floor Crew Bailee and Bailee took him down. Courtney talked to American Red Cross who now has an app to do CPR on your Dog and Cat.
8am:
Marianne/Ju/Mark Talked to local Lodi Viewer Rob about his Customize Hot Rod. The crew talked to Survivor host Jeff Probst about the upcoming season. The 9amtopic was introduced about what your parents didn't know when you were a teen. Tina received an award from her efforts to Fill the Boot during the Media Challenge. Tina raised about $1500 in her time slot but as a whole $107K+ was raised for the weekend long event. Cambi was in Fair Oaks checking on the progress of one local woman getting help with her home who is in need of repairs. Thanks to the Fair Oaks Rotary club she will soon be able to get around better. Courtney was checking out a new Beauty School opening in Sacramento. Teen's Tunes was played. Today's theme TV Themes
9am:
In the final hour of the day Julissa and Laura guided us through the hour and today's #9amtopic. Tina was continuing her Relationship series. Ken and the Good Day Goofballs got set to take on and would later play against the Lady Hornets of Sac State in Basketball but more on this later. Amy was checking out a Truck Tracker assignment in Arbuckle at Cooks Country Cottage, this little shop was very impressive. Julissa talked with Dorine Smith from Kidaround Magazine about new products for new moms and moms to be. (Dads too) Going back to the game, one team failed to show up and it was just ugly. I will tell you that 21 points where scored in the game. just not many of them by the Goofballs.
Final Thoughts:
Teamwork? What is it,? Where does it come from? How do you get it?
Each day we all go to our jobs and work with people in our field to obtain one goal whether that be selling product, making music, Playing a game of Basketball, Football or writing a story. Whatever the case may be it takes a team and a total team effort to obtain that one goal. Much is the case in television news. With apologies to Fox40 and My58 I will be focusing on Good Day Sacramento only because I've been given the opportunity to go behind the scenes to see what it takes to put together a daily show. I've not been given clearance to see pre-planning meetings or post show meetings but from what I've seen I'm completely impressed with the team effort put forth day in and day out. From sales, to production to the GREAT producers like Tessa and Margret who go in overnight while you and I sleep before the on air talent arrives to put on makeup these people work extremely hard to bring us the fans and viewers what we love, hate and discuss each day of our lives. But it's not just them who work hard it's sound, it's cameras camera guys like Dave G, Terry H, Steve to name a few who work hard to get that perfect shot of a scene or the right angle for the reporter to stand, it's the floor crew like Bailee, Julian and Julian and Dale to name a few. Of course no one would answer the phones if not for Eleanor who we all love and adore. Then it's the on air talent that we fall in love with because they are the people we let into our homes each and everyday like Cody, Mark, Ken, Marianne, Tina, Cambi, Amy, Lori, Laura, Sean, Courtney, Julissa, Melissa. From Fox Zohreen, Sabrina, Bethany, Stefanie. From MY58 Lisa G to name a few from the others. All these people are a team and it takes a total team effort to do what they do. It is up to us viewers not to criticize but to enjoy and discuss. Believe it or not they all listen to our concerns because without us a part of the team they wouldn't be a team.
Which brings me to the Good Day Sacramento Goofballs who took on the Sac State Hornets. They played as a team and lost as a team. Sure they got smoked and only scored 4 points to the 17 from the ladies but they did it as a team or was it the controversial benching of Star Mark S. Allen that cost the game? Either way they did it for our benefit to let us forget about our day and laugh.
You win as a team, you play as a team, you work as a team and the results may not be what you want that day so you go back and do it all over tomorrow as a team.

I gave My58 another day to redeem themselves from yesterday and though they did better it still was not GREAT. I will wait and see if they make it into Today in the ?News tomorrow. One thing I liked was Former President Bush putting his paintings into a Gallery. He is really a good artist and I encourage ALL Artists to do the same. Show what you can do. Just because he was a President doesn't make your work any less important.
Announced today on Fox40 was a chance to meet the original Captain. Yes Captain Kirk aka William Shatner will be appearing at Sacramento Comic Con in March and Fox40 is giving tickets away to meet him. Stay tuned to Today in the News for your daily code to enter or DVR the 8am hour.
Today on Good Day Krispy Kreme opened and Amy made one lady wait to taste her first Krispy Kreme but it was all in fun. The Good Day men took on Sac State Woman in a basketball game.

Fox40 today talked Krispy Kreme Yuba City, Shopping Cart Sweep Yuba City, Campbell soup auction and redoing your cabinets for cheap with Sue Monday. But it was the story from Zohreen about Shawn Zausch who is riding his bike from Sacramento to San Francisco to raise awareness for Kidney donations and the sound of Poorboy Millionaire performing tonight.

Today on Show and Tell a local viewer from Tracy sent Courtney a calendar with shoes in it. Marianne had the daily list about organic Food Myths. 5am Club member Rachel caught a BIG fish. Today's Question of the Day was what event bores you. Show us your topic is Sports photos. Amy was at Krispy Kreme Grand Opening where one local man stood in line since Sunday and got to turn the Hot Light on.
6am:
Mark S. Allen arrived but not without incident. Mark accidentally cut a CHP officer off and had to have a little talking to but does issue a public PSA. Amy continued from Krispy Kreme in Yuba City. Marianne had an all animal edition of Your Daily Joe. Mark also remembers Actor Harold Ramis who past away yesterday, (Stripes, Ghostbusters) to name a few.
7am:
In this hour Amy continued from Krispy Kreme in Yuba City. Brian Cooley from Cnet talked about the new products coming out from Samsung. Marianne talked to Lisa Jander, Author about teen dating tips. Mark talked to the Sacramento team of Arm Wrestlers who are on the new AMC show premiering tonight. Mark took on Floor Crew Bailee and Bailee took him down. Courtney talked to American Red Cross who now has an app to do CPR on your Dog and Cat.
8am:
Marianne/Ju/Mark Talked to local Lodi Viewer Rob about his Customize Hot Rod. The crew talked to Survivor host Jeff Probst about the upcoming season. The 9amtopic was introduced about what your parents didn't know when you were a teen. Tina received an award from her efforts to Fill the Boot during the Media Challenge. Tina raised about $1500 in her time slot but as a whole $107K+ was raised for the weekend long event. Cambi was in Fair Oaks checking on the progress of one local woman getting help with her home who is in need of repairs. Thanks to the Fair Oaks Rotary club she will soon be able to get around better. Courtney was checking out a new Beauty School opening in Sacramento. Teen's Tunes was played. Today's theme TV Themes

In the final hour of the day Julissa and Laura guided us through the hour and today's #9amtopic. Tina was continuing her Relationship series. Ken and the Good Day Goofballs got set to take on and would later play against the Lady Hornets of Sac State in Basketball but more on this later. Amy was checking out a Truck Tracker assignment in Arbuckle at Cooks Country Cottage, this little shop was very impressive. Julissa talked with Dorine Smith from Kidaround Magazine about new products for new moms and moms to be. (Dads too) Going back to the game, one team failed to show up and it was just ugly. I will tell you that 21 points where scored in the game. just not many of them by the Goofballs.
Final Thoughts:
Teamwork? What is it,? Where does it come from? How do you get it?
Each day we all go to our jobs and work with people in our field to obtain one goal whether that be selling product, making music, Playing a game of Basketball, Football or writing a story. Whatever the case may be it takes a team and a total team effort to obtain that one goal. Much is the case in television news. With apologies to Fox40 and My58 I will be focusing on Good Day Sacramento only because I've been given the opportunity to go behind the scenes to see what it takes to put together a daily show. I've not been given clearance to see pre-planning meetings or post show meetings but from what I've seen I'm completely impressed with the team effort put forth day in and day out. From sales, to production to the GREAT producers like Tessa and Margret who go in overnight while you and I sleep before the on air talent arrives to put on makeup these people work extremely hard to bring us the fans and viewers what we love, hate and discuss each day of our lives. But it's not just them who work hard it's sound, it's cameras camera guys like Dave G, Terry H, Steve to name a few who work hard to get that perfect shot of a scene or the right angle for the reporter to stand, it's the floor crew like Bailee, Julian and Julian and Dale to name a few. Of course no one would answer the phones if not for Eleanor who we all love and adore. Then it's the on air talent that we fall in love with because they are the people we let into our homes each and everyday like Cody, Mark, Ken, Marianne, Tina, Cambi, Amy, Lori, Laura, Sean, Courtney, Julissa, Melissa. From Fox Zohreen, Sabrina, Bethany, Stefanie. From MY58 Lisa G to name a few from the others. All these people are a team and it takes a total team effort to do what they do. It is up to us viewers not to criticize but to enjoy and discuss. Believe it or not they all listen to our concerns because without us a part of the team they wouldn't be a team.
Which brings me to the Good Day Sacramento Goofballs who took on the Sac State Hornets. They played as a team and lost as a team. Sure they got smoked and only scored 4 points to the 17 from the ladies but they did it as a team or was it the controversial benching of Star Mark S. Allen that cost the game? Either way they did it for our benefit to let us forget about our day and laugh.
You win as a team, you play as a team, you work as a team and the results may not be what you want that day so you go back and do it all over tomorrow as a team.
