It's a New Sunrise... Today in the News 2/3/2014:
Opening Statement:
And with that... The curtains close on another NFL Season. Last night we watched the Seattle Seahawks destroy the Denver Broncos 43-8. The commercials overpaid for all their hype but Budweiser was the clear cut winner in my opinion with 2 spots that caught my eye. The Dog meets the horses and the Soldier comes home. 2 other spots that I kind of liked but could be persuaded either way, Radio Shack with the 80's wanting their dedicate back, that's great but Radio Shack needs to decide on a name and keep it and stop changing it every year. The other was the Seinfeld spot that aired at halftime. Speaking of Halftime One study showed 2.2 Million tweets were sent during and immediately following the Halftime show about the show. Yes I had 3 of them #Amazing. I love rock music (Poison, Van Halen, Guns & Roses, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi etc.) but Bruno Mars was so impressive I really enjoyed him and the Red Hot Chili Peppers this year. I may have enjoyed them the most since Prince a few years ago. In fact Bruno's final Song "Just the way you are" made me cry and think about my friend who means so much to me. With the line "Girl your Amazing, Just the way you are..." It hit a spot in my heart that just sent tears to my eyes thinking how wonderful she truly is.
With the final score in favor of Seattle, Marianne is the winner of the Bet between her and Laura Skirde. Now Laura will need to wear Seattle apparel and stand the Soapbox of Shame and read a prepared statement. That bet pay off will take place today on Good Day Sacramento and I will be covering that and more Today in the News.....

Today one of the cool stories was the idea the Sacramento Kings have to run street cars to and from the Arena before, during, and after games. I thinks this is a cool idea because it will cut down on traffic and the BEST part the Kings ownership group plan to pay for it.

Today they talked a lot of post Super Bowl with ads, Halftime Show and game but they also talked about the Fur Coat heard/seen around the world that has Pita all over it Also this month is Dental Awareness month for pets so today they asked a vet for tips. Bethany Crouch and KCRA's Lisa Gonzalez have been voted as favorite Sac Mag 2013 cover. Congrats to both of you. French 25 was in the Fox40 Kitchen today.

On this day we had 2 Show and Tell Segments the first was Ken sharing video of Sac State Basketball hitting a buzzer beater on Saturday which was the Top Play on ESPN Sports Center and the second Show and Tell was Marianne getting gifts from her neighbor that included a Darn It Doll and a couple of slices of Texas Sheet Cake aka Brownies. The hour also had Mark's News of the Weird, Question of the Day, 5am Club Member of the day and Marianne's Daily List.
6am:
This hour Courtney brought back Weird or Worth it with Cupcake flavored Toothpaste and taste tests from the crew give it a stamp of approval but the price tag says otherwise $5. Marianne had our Daily Joe including the David Beckham Super Bowl ad and a 7 year old girls letter to Lego about the lack of Lego's for girls. Marianne also revealed her exercise program. Today is National Fro Yo day and Yogurtland is celebrating with a free scoop today.
7am:
This hour Mark continued from Yogurtland with an eating challenge as well as flavors made for the Good Day Crew. Amy was checking out a new Mayo that is made with an eggless egg in San Francisco. Julissa was talking about a wine event coming up on the 14th. Sorry I don't have more details on this. Watch the video clip for more info.
8am:
In this hour Marianne and Ken talked to Dr. Phil about a 2 part show that is sure to draw attention. You can see the show Tuesday. Amy continued from San Francisco talking about the Eggless Egg. Marianne and Ken also talked to brother and sister Soap stars David & Heather Tom while Cambi was checking out jewelry that makes a perfect gift for Valentines Day. Mark and Ken talked to one local photographer that uses unique backgrounds to shoot pictures of her son while he is sleeping. The #9amtopic was introduced and Court's Tunes was played. Re-Playing Marianne's weight loss secret this hour Marianne revealed she did reach her weight loss goal on Sunday.
9am:
This hour Laura and Julissa guided us through the #9amtopic "What movie best describes your relationship" Amy showed us while the crew tested the Eggless Cookie Dough, Mark talked to a local man who is being featured on Food Network. Cambi was shopping at Compliment Jewelry and Ken had a GREAT manly minute talking about hating your job and getting through it each day. Courtney started a new Fashion Forum. But the highlight of the hour was Laura paying off the bet with Marianne on the soapbox of shame reading a prepared statement. Laura handled defeat with both dignity and class. Proud of her for handling it so well.
Final Thoughts:
The game is over, the bet has been paid and the commercials have been analyzed. What is next now that football is now done until August. Valentines Day is coming down the bend and it will be full of love for some. So for those check out the jewelry that Cambi showed today. It was pretty amazing and know this the sun will rise and the sun will set but in your heart you will know that when you find that special someone the Sun will rise each and everyday, and like the sun one other thing will always brighten your day and that is what is ahead for the remainder of the week.

Today one of the cool stories was the idea the Sacramento Kings have to run street cars to and from the Arena before, during, and after games. I thinks this is a cool idea because it will cut down on traffic and the BEST part the Kings ownership group plan to pay for it.
Fox40:
Today they talked a lot of post Super Bowl with ads, Halftime Show and game but they also talked about the Fur Coat heard/seen around the world that has Pita all over it Also this month is Dental Awareness month for pets so today they asked a vet for tips. Bethany Crouch and KCRA's Lisa Gonzalez have been voted as favorite Sac Mag 2013 cover. Congrats to both of you. French 25 was in the Fox40 Kitchen today.

On this day we had 2 Show and Tell Segments the first was Ken sharing video of Sac State Basketball hitting a buzzer beater on Saturday which was the Top Play on ESPN Sports Center and the second Show and Tell was Marianne getting gifts from her neighbor that included a Darn It Doll and a couple of slices of Texas Sheet Cake aka Brownies. The hour also had Mark's News of the Weird, Question of the Day, 5am Club Member of the day and Marianne's Daily List.
6am:
This hour Courtney brought back Weird or Worth it with Cupcake flavored Toothpaste and taste tests from the crew give it a stamp of approval but the price tag says otherwise $5. Marianne had our Daily Joe including the David Beckham Super Bowl ad and a 7 year old girls letter to Lego about the lack of Lego's for girls. Marianne also revealed her exercise program. Today is National Fro Yo day and Yogurtland is celebrating with a free scoop today.
7am:
This hour Mark continued from Yogurtland with an eating challenge as well as flavors made for the Good Day Crew. Amy was checking out a new Mayo that is made with an eggless egg in San Francisco. Julissa was talking about a wine event coming up on the 14th. Sorry I don't have more details on this. Watch the video clip for more info.
8am:
In this hour Marianne and Ken talked to Dr. Phil about a 2 part show that is sure to draw attention. You can see the show Tuesday. Amy continued from San Francisco talking about the Eggless Egg. Marianne and Ken also talked to brother and sister Soap stars David & Heather Tom while Cambi was checking out jewelry that makes a perfect gift for Valentines Day. Mark and Ken talked to one local photographer that uses unique backgrounds to shoot pictures of her son while he is sleeping. The #9amtopic was introduced and Court's Tunes was played. Re-Playing Marianne's weight loss secret this hour Marianne revealed she did reach her weight loss goal on Sunday.
9am:
This hour Laura and Julissa guided us through the #9amtopic "What movie best describes your relationship" Amy showed us while the crew tested the Eggless Cookie Dough, Mark talked to a local man who is being featured on Food Network. Cambi was shopping at Compliment Jewelry and Ken had a GREAT manly minute talking about hating your job and getting through it each day. Courtney started a new Fashion Forum. But the highlight of the hour was Laura paying off the bet with Marianne on the soapbox of shame reading a prepared statement. Laura handled defeat with both dignity and class. Proud of her for handling it so well.
Final Thoughts:
The game is over, the bet has been paid and the commercials have been analyzed. What is next now that football is now done until August. Valentines Day is coming down the bend and it will be full of love for some. So for those check out the jewelry that Cambi showed today. It was pretty amazing and know this the sun will rise and the sun will set but in your heart you will know that when you find that special someone the Sun will rise each and everyday, and like the sun one other thing will always brighten your day and that is what is ahead for the remainder of the week.
