The winter storm that Cody Stark and Laura Skirde predicted all week came in and so far hasn't left. Knowing we need the rain I don't mind but does it need to rain hard and harder every time I go out in it?
We have reached yet another special day today on Good Day. Ken Rudulph is heading to the Snow today and will be reporting all show long. This is sure to be fun to watch play out because Ken HATES being cold.

The rain has now continued for 4 days. Today was once again Hijacked by the Stormy Weather but to give credit everyone and I do mean everyone at Good Day Sacramento did an EXCELLENT job not only today but all weekend long. I am happy to say that on this dark day it was a Good Day... Sacramento. We had some of the top people covering the storm all weekend long. More on that later.

As predicted the weather would rule the day once again and the 7am hour kicked off with Cody in CBS 13 Weather Center, Amy in Good Day Studio and Lori on News Island / Touch screen. Cambi was checking out creeks rising and to the point of flood stage. Melissa was at a large tree that fell in East Sacramento. Ken, Yes, Ken was in the snow at Boreal checking out the conditions. Christianne was with us today checking out the 32nd Annual Davis Stampede Run/Walk and how it is NOT being affected by the weather. Eleanor had the latest on all the Hollywood Gossip including Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes dating rumors heating up. This might have been the BEST Produced hour of the day okay it was because my favorite producer and friend Tessa snuck in under darkness and disguise to produce the hour. :)
8am:
In this hour Christianne was continuing from the Davis Stampede. Marlene Simon answered viewers questions how the weather could affect their plants. Amy introduced us to 9 year old Lilly who is a Championship wrestler. Cambi, Mel, Ken had the field covered tracking the storm and the destruction it has caused while Cody and Amy had the weather and all the social media pics, videos, and Bad Rain Jokes.
9am:
In this hour the weather teams tracked the storm all over the valley. Mel was at Sloughhouse checking out street flooding. Cambi was at a vehicle accident and then down power lines. Ken was checking out the fresh powder at Boreal talking to those skiing. Marlene was answering more plant questions and Amy and Cody did their thing from the studio and weather center. Christianne was at the finish line of the Davis Stampede.
10am:
Weather Coverage continued with Melissa checking out street flooding, Ken finished up from Boreal. Marlene had more plant tips and Miguel Cardona showed off his cup art. This was awesome. If I may say so and I will we have some good young artist coming up and their futures are bright. Much like a friend of mine who drew this....
Lori had our Hot Headlines.
Final Thoughts:
Today the stormy weather continued but the Good Day Sacramento staff would not be defeated and no matter what the conditions they braved the elements, they covered all angles from street flooding to trees down to accidents to the snow. The snow coverage was pretty interesting because we all know Ken hates the cold weather but in my opinion he did a fantastic job in the snow today. Today as well as yesterday was a very special day for Good Day Sacramento, Starting off with Marianne was in yesterday, Ken was in today and Weekday 430/5am Producer Tessa produced the 7am hour today. So when you want the BEST Good Day has to offer you get the BEST.
Also today Mark S. Allen was the co-worker featured on this weeks Dishin with Tina a La Rosa in West Sacramento. Eleanor always does a GREAT job with her Gossip and of course Cambi, Melissa, Christianne and Lori did a GREAT job either doing the news or out in the elements. Of course no bad jokes could be told with the delivery of Amy telling them and NO ONE and I mean NO ONE can bring you better stormy weather updates like the one and only Cody Stark who is the feature this month in Today in the News...
But the weekend is now done and it is time to look ahead to the week coming up. Reminder My58 will be on break until the Olympics are over but Fox40 will be back Monday. Look for Highlights from Mark at the Movies later today as well.
