Baby Drama... Today in the News 2/17/2014:
Opening Statement:
Sometimes in life it can throw you a curve ball and make you think on your toes or it will knock you on your heels, it's how you handle it that shows your true character. When depression hits you, you must swing for the fence that keeps you straight and doesn't knock you down. I suffer from depression each day and I try to make others happy to help me deal with my illness but sometimes when you get hit hard and unexpected you just want to quit. Much like my case yesterday, something occurred in my life that knocked me back and as much as I wanted to quit I took a step back, dusted off and got right back into it. I've been on the bottom, I've tried to commit but I found happiness in both friends and in Good Day Sacramento several years ago. I was close to quitting again until I was approached to start writing again which brings us to Today in the News. writing this is to help you understand and show you what is going on in and around the area but it is also therapeutic for me. I have GREAT friends and family but not everything can be roses all the time. I can't speak for everyone but one friend finds talking to me their therapy as well as their nieces and nephews to give them joy, another friend of mine use the gift of art to help them release stress and others have their wife and kids and work friends but one thing we all have in common is each other. Each of us knows that if we need to vent we have someone to vent to/with. It got tough for me yesterday and I wanted to quit but my friends were there to pick me up and help me through my day. Support is the BEST way to fight depression and friends that are there for you are the BEST friends a person could ask for.

A local soldier wounded during battle has made it his life’s mission to help other veterans in need! We first met Bill “Big Sarge” Hansen last month when he was featured in the MSNBC Docu-Series “Wounded: The Battle Back Home.” The documentary profiled how ‘Big Sarge’ found help through the non-profit service organization, Wounded Warrior Project, and eventually overcame his war trauma to start a mobile CrossFit gym in Sacramento!!

Today on Fox Zohreen was in Modesto for Girl Scout Cookie drop while Sabrina worked out with KAIA FIT. Tech of the week had 2 new cool gadgets to go with your Smart Phone including a remote control for your camera part of the phone. Soccer golf is coming back to Haggin Oaks in March and Kid Chef Aiden cooked up some Sturgeon in the Fox40 Kitchen.
Good Day Sacramento:
430/5am:
Today was a very special Show and Tell for both Ken and Julissa when they got to celebrate PROUD Parenting moments. Courtney got a Barbie catalog that has designer dresses and does not want her daughter to see it. Marianne had her Daily list that talked about famous phrases said by Presidents that we use today. Old friend of the show Carmichael Craig was today's 5am Club Member, Question of the was asked and Show us yours was parenting tips for 6 Good Day players getting "FAKE" babies for a week.
6am:
In this hour the first 3 of the cast getting fake babies got them and it got LOUD!!! They cried a lot and that was just Ken... (Rim Shot). Mark's seems to be the quietest of the 3 and Amy keeps the arms up on hers. Mark talked to stuntman Gary Davis as he prepares for the stunt of a lifetime. Amy met Amy the Picker in Auburn who restores old Antique furniture. Courtney tried the Weird or Worth It today which is Boob Glue. Boob Glue helps woman boost up in that area.
7am:
In the 7am hour Jason and Cambi delivered their babies at the same time Ken appeared to leave his with a sitter (Julian). Mark continues prep for his stunt with Gary Davis and Amy chatted with Auburn Amy about how she restores and looks for one mans junk becomes another mans treasures. Finally Julissa talked with Kooky Collector Kellie Culvahouse about her Pez Dispenser Collection.
8am:
Modesto gets their Girl Scout Cookies today and Marianne and Ken talked about the drop going down today. Mark did a couple of minor stunts leading up to the Big one in the 9am hour. The first stunt was Mark getting thrown into a fake wall and the other was a bottle broke over the head. Amy was checking out a Cross Fit gym that is giving back to Purple Heart recipients. Courtney was checking out an Academy for kids to exercise. The #9amtopic was introduced ___ is harder than I thought it would be. Baby drama continued.
9am:
In the final hour of the show, hosted by Julissa and Laura they guided us through the #9amtopic, Jason and Ken had a baby shower at the Mecca Club for their babies, Cambi delivered Tina's baby. Amy continued from the Vet Cross Fit training. Mark did his stunt which was Porta Potty Bowling. Mark was in a potty and a crane bowled through a large bail of hay. Ken's Manly Minute was on how to be a good father. The final question of the day was What should not have worked out but it totally did.
Final Thoughts:
Before getting to Good Day today I want to say Fox did a nice job today with segments. It seems like at times on Monday they are lacking but today they did pretty well.
On to Good Day, Everyone knows that my love for the show will always be there and I will always watch and support the show for all they have done for me so when I am critical of something done on the show I'm not pointing it out to be mean, I am alerting that if I didn't like it others most likely hated it more. Today was to be about the stunt of all stunts for Mark S. Allen and it was but the Fake Baby idea took all segments and trashed them. Viewers tune into Good Day to get away from their everyday issues whether it be from having cancer, or a brain tumor, or family issues. People of Good Day all have a unique story why they watch the show so that they can get away from it for 5 hours a day. But when you add in the fake babies and the loud cries it stresses everyone out. Like I said regardless if you keep this segment all week I will still be here supporting but it is a REALLY BAD IDEA!!! This might be the worst idea you've had on the show since I started watching other than the hiring of one whacky weather person who will not be named but is no longer there. Like I said if I don't like it others will not like it either. Below are just some of the comments posted on the Facebook page about Fake Baby.

No one will or should criticize you for saying you know what it just wasn't a good idea and it was quite frankly unprofessional of us to not only put all of you viewers through that but our coworkers.

Today on Fox Zohreen was in Modesto for Girl Scout Cookie drop while Sabrina worked out with KAIA FIT. Tech of the week had 2 new cool gadgets to go with your Smart Phone including a remote control for your camera part of the phone. Soccer golf is coming back to Haggin Oaks in March and Kid Chef Aiden cooked up some Sturgeon in the Fox40 Kitchen.
Good Day Sacramento:
430/5am:
Today was a very special Show and Tell for both Ken and Julissa when they got to celebrate PROUD Parenting moments. Courtney got a Barbie catalog that has designer dresses and does not want her daughter to see it. Marianne had her Daily list that talked about famous phrases said by Presidents that we use today. Old friend of the show Carmichael Craig was today's 5am Club Member, Question of the was asked and Show us yours was parenting tips for 6 Good Day players getting "FAKE" babies for a week.
6am:
In this hour the first 3 of the cast getting fake babies got them and it got LOUD!!! They cried a lot and that was just Ken... (Rim Shot). Mark's seems to be the quietest of the 3 and Amy keeps the arms up on hers. Mark talked to stuntman Gary Davis as he prepares for the stunt of a lifetime. Amy met Amy the Picker in Auburn who restores old Antique furniture. Courtney tried the Weird or Worth It today which is Boob Glue. Boob Glue helps woman boost up in that area.
7am:
In the 7am hour Jason and Cambi delivered their babies at the same time Ken appeared to leave his with a sitter (Julian). Mark continues prep for his stunt with Gary Davis and Amy chatted with Auburn Amy about how she restores and looks for one mans junk becomes another mans treasures. Finally Julissa talked with Kooky Collector Kellie Culvahouse about her Pez Dispenser Collection.
8am:
Modesto gets their Girl Scout Cookies today and Marianne and Ken talked about the drop going down today. Mark did a couple of minor stunts leading up to the Big one in the 9am hour. The first stunt was Mark getting thrown into a fake wall and the other was a bottle broke over the head. Amy was checking out a Cross Fit gym that is giving back to Purple Heart recipients. Courtney was checking out an Academy for kids to exercise. The #9amtopic was introduced ___ is harder than I thought it would be. Baby drama continued.
9am:
In the final hour of the show, hosted by Julissa and Laura they guided us through the #9amtopic, Jason and Ken had a baby shower at the Mecca Club for their babies, Cambi delivered Tina's baby. Amy continued from the Vet Cross Fit training. Mark did his stunt which was Porta Potty Bowling. Mark was in a potty and a crane bowled through a large bail of hay. Ken's Manly Minute was on how to be a good father. The final question of the day was What should not have worked out but it totally did.
Final Thoughts:
Before getting to Good Day today I want to say Fox did a nice job today with segments. It seems like at times on Monday they are lacking but today they did pretty well.
On to Good Day, Everyone knows that my love for the show will always be there and I will always watch and support the show for all they have done for me so when I am critical of something done on the show I'm not pointing it out to be mean, I am alerting that if I didn't like it others most likely hated it more. Today was to be about the stunt of all stunts for Mark S. Allen and it was but the Fake Baby idea took all segments and trashed them. Viewers tune into Good Day to get away from their everyday issues whether it be from having cancer, or a brain tumor, or family issues. People of Good Day all have a unique story why they watch the show so that they can get away from it for 5 hours a day. But when you add in the fake babies and the loud cries it stresses everyone out. Like I said regardless if you keep this segment all week I will still be here supporting but it is a REALLY BAD IDEA!!! This might be the worst idea you've had on the show since I started watching other than the hiring of one whacky weather person who will not be named but is no longer there. Like I said if I don't like it others will not like it either. Below are just some of the comments posted on the Facebook page about Fake Baby.

Good Day if my opinion means anything you should scrap the segment, save face and find something else. No one will or should criticize you for saying you know what it just wasn't a good idea and it was quite frankly unprofessional of us to not only put all of you viewers through that but our coworkers.
Again Good Day if you keep it you have my support but really it's a bad idea.
