The fire started from a car and has now destroyed 5 homes and 2 out buildings as of the last update. The fire has burned 4000 acres and only 20% contained.

Favorite Story of the Day: Young Entrepreneurs:
One thing I love is young people who make a difference. Today on Good Day We met 2 of them First Ryan, 19 years old has started his own business and doing well. He creates, sews, and sells his own Bow tie collection He has 2 Etsy stores for you to choose. One for bow ties and the other for accessories. 



This was one of my favorite stories of the day. The other story comes from a Local Author. 



My other favorite story also comes from a young man. This young man has written a book, published it and it is doing well. Lawrence Silveira wrote the book DarkBlade and the Secret Shadow. He started writing at a very early age and he is currently working on a sequel to DarkBlade.



It was these 2 stories of young people making a difference and becoming Young Entrepreneurs that makes them my Favorite Story of the Day. 
 

 
What's For Breakfast:
Before Cambi headed to Courtland for the Pear Fair Cambi stopped off at Flapjack Diner to find out what people were having for breakfast. Most have Flapjacks Cambi took a Milkshake to go and it looked really good. 

 
 
Breakfast With the Marshalls
We all know Kristin is one of if not the BEST Lacrosse Players but now we find out her brother is a professional Soccer player for the team playing against the Sac Republic FC tonight at Bonney Field? Today Melissa was finding out more about Andrew and his soccer skills plus what was for breakfast at the Marshall house today. (Pancakes)

 
 
Guardian of the Galaxy:
Guardians of the Galaxy starts next week in theaters everywhere. Today Nina was the Guardian of the Galaxy when she checked out all the comics Ben at Empire Comics has to offer plus she got a lesson in the movie and why it appears to be as great as all the buzz is around it. I can't wait to see this movie. Lucy won the Box Office this week but look for Guardians of the Galaxy to next week. 

 
 
Tour De Lady:
Melissa was in Roseville at Roseville Cyclery learning about the bikes and equipment that will be used for the Tour De France Lady's edition that kicks off today. 

 
 
Comic-Con:
Mark's Comic Con Coverage for Good Day came to a close with him checking out the people standing in line for CW shows. First Arrow which had a huge line and then he met two local kids who camped out overnight to see the stars of SuperNatural. 



Pear Fair:
Today marks the 42nd Annual Pear Fear. Today Good Day sent the one reporter and possibly only person who had never tried a pear. Cambi first checked out the Kids Pie Eating Contest, then she tried Pear Mimosas and a Pear Pizza. She even tried a Pear and STOP THE PRESSES! She LIKED it.
 


Spyder-Woman:
This wasn't my favorite story of the day but it was my this is so cool story of the day for sure. Nina was at Ryde On Motor Sports checking out the Spyder Bike. These cool 3 wheels bikes are available for rent and sale. Today Nina was learning all about them and you don't even have to have a motorcycle licence to ride them, just a Drivers Licences. 



Swing:
Cody met a local man who will help you measure your speed when you are swinging a bat, racket, or golf Club. Pete Pahio invented the Accuspeed Sports Trainer. This is very cool and a cool gift for any baseball, Tennis or golf lover in your family. 



A Love Story:
Jennifer Martin a local author wrote a book about how juicing and eating healthy has helped her with her Psoriasis. She even wrote about her first appearance on Good Day and how much it helped her with the guest she was with. Good Luck to her and if you know someone who has this illness get her book and maybe it will help them too. 



Cat House:
Melissa was in Lincoln today talking about the tenth life club at the Fieldhaven Feline Center. This Safe Haven nurses cats back to health after they are seriously injured or sick. Then the group puts them up for adoption.



I am not a cat person but I love this idea and story. Such a GREAT group and story for any animal lover.



Cocktail Winner:
Reno girl Nicole Barker won the Disaronno Mixing Star Lab competition. Nicole won a trip to Sicily Italy and announced her and her husband will be opening a restaurant soon in Reno. Nicole was in studio today showing Amy her award winning mixing skills.



Ask Eleanor:
It's Sunday so that means today we Ask Eleanor all about the Juicy Gossip. Today she revealed Bieber news and the BIG one Matt Lauer on a boat with a blonde.... Not his wife. Please like Ask Eleanor on Facebook and be amazed what this Gossip Queen can find every day.



Dishin With Tina:
Another Sunday staple is Dishin With Tina. This weeks featured restaurant was Cafe Rolle. They serve French Food but the Chef stole the show and I really hope he comes into the studio on Wednesday so everyone can see how funny this guy is. Cafe Rolle made Yelp’s Top 100 Place to Eat list, coming in a number 36.

Mark will tell how you can see Guardians of the Galaxy before anyone. One local girl has her Make-A-Wish come true by seeing a tiger up close. They are going to a Softball Camp and a Food Bank for Vets. Plus I think Tina will be back with Courtney off but that I cannot confirm until 430am so tune in won't you.
