As we hit the end of July today NFL Training Camps are in full effect and Preseason Games start this Sunday but I will have more on that later.



Summer is almost over but today on Good Day Cody and son Colin headed down to the SF Giants Game yesterday so that they could be a part of the #ATTSlumberParty Today on Good Day Cody will be reporting live from AT&T Park and all the things that took place during the game and after the game while at the Slumber Party

Final Recap:
Favorite Story of the Day: #ATTSSlumberParty:
Today's favorite story of the day today on Good Day Sacramento is the special bond Cody has with his son Colin.



Yesterday after the show Cody and Colin loaded up the car and headed down to see the Giants take on the Pirates in the final game of the series.



It's been a tough home stand for the Giants who lost 6 straight games going into yesterday. I am happy to report Cody and Colin ended that streak with their attendance. They took the final game of the series and left to go on the road.



However Cody and Colin along with 400 other fans stormed the field and pitched a tent for the night for the #ATTSSLUMERPARTY.



The party filled with families, fun and movies took place all night and into the morning.



Cody went all around the field talking to other guests including a couple who has been coming for 11 years and told Cody the dugout seats are heated. Plus Cody put on the one and only prototype Giant onesie.



Then it was time for breakfast and to pack up so they could get the field ready for JayZ and Beyonce who are coming into town this weekend.



So all night Cody  and Colin had a ton of fun bonding like father and sons should on what turned out to be not only the coolest live shot but today's favorite story of the day.



Cody who does a great job posting pictures told a lot of the story throughout the day and night. You can see more photos at the end of today's blog.

PitBull Training:
As a dog owner and lover I admit Pit Bulls get a bad rap. Today on Good Day Kristin was in Rancho Cordova learning from Local Bark that Pit Bulls are not bad dogs if trained and treated properly. Yes they like others dogs can be aggressive if they are forced to be but they are NOT bad dogs with proper training.



Run A Mile in Her Shoes:
A local Elk Grove Mom (Mary) honors her deployed daughter each and everyday by running 3 miles and dedicating 1 of those miles she dedicates to her daughter LuLu then she comes home and hangs 1 yellow ribbon for everyday she is gone. So beautiful and a great honor. Lets bring her home safe and sound.



Choo Choo:
Mark got the cool local segment of the day with Cody getting the other. Mark was in Rio Linda checking out a local viewers backyard "G" Scale Train Set. This was very impressive.



Transplant:
Last month we met Conner Cheney who was heading to Houston for the Transplant Games. Conner was back today to show off his medals he won.



Conner would never been able to do this or talk about it if it had not been for transplant donation to keep him alive.



No I know organ donation is not for everyone because of beliefs but if you thin about it for every good organ you have it saving the life of someone else. Maybe a friend, a stranger but a human being nonetheless.

Car Czar:
Doug the Car Czar was here for 3 segments today on Good Day. The first talking about Timing Belts when to change and when not to. The second how to properly jump a car Battery. Then the final segment was answering a viewers Facebook question.

Lori was in Orangevale today for a GIANT Sale taking place now through Saturday at Divine Savior Parish for Treasure Fest.

Desert:
This is very exciting. A Staple of Sacramento has moved to a new bigger location opening Friday. Today on Good Day Tina was checking out the new and improved Ricks Desert Diner.
