Ice Water In Their Veins... Today in the News Sunday Edition 7/20/2014:

Ice Water In Their Veins... Today in the News Sunday Edition 7/20/2014: Opening Statement: Today's Opening Statement is an Open Letter to the Cast and Crew to Good Day Sacramento. For the last 4 years I have been lucky enough to visit the weekend show. Each of the 4 years I have taken the opportunity to learn something. My first year I was able to learn what it's like for the anchors during the show. While we are watching segments they are preparing the next thing or watching with us so they can chime in. During breaks they are most likely getting instruction from the producer on what's ahead. My second year I was able to spend some time in the Control Booth. That is a show within the show. They have so much going on they have to stay on their toes. It is my hope I can spend sometime with Producer Tessa to learn as much as possible from her because she is so helpful in teaching me things and answering questions I have about what is going on during or after...

Cheers To Eppie... Today in the News Saturday Edition 7/19/2014:

Cheers To Eppie... Today in the News Saturday Edition 7/19/2014: Opening Statement: Today is the 41st year for Eppie's Great Race. Wow, What an accomplishment. When I moved to California one of his restaurants was located directly across from Tower Records in Sacramento. If I remember correctly as kids we would go out on a Friday or Saturday night and Eppies would always be one of the spots we would stop at to have breakfast. Both are gone now. Eppies and Tower but his memory will live on through the GREAT Race. Today on Good Day it marks the first year without the man himself that the race falls on. We lost Eppie in September last year so today is a very special day. To Eppie! Now for the rest of what is taking place Today in the News..... Synchronized.... Today in the News Sunday Edition 7/13/2014: Opening Statement: This week Mark at the Movies celebrates it's 250th show. While the lineup has changed over the course of the years. the concept has always remained the same. Mark and his Co-host talk about movies like friends talk about them. His first and many of the episodes co starred Ashley Williams which first aired September 26, 2009. Let me be one of many to congratulate Mark S Allen and Mark at the Movies congratulations on this wonderful accomplishment. Many have come through but you never forget your first and I know the first show will always be special in my heart much like my first time seeing the weekend show and how well that has evolved over the years with Cody at the helm. What's ahead Today in the News.... Hangin in the Backyard... Today in the News Saturday Edition 7/12/2014:

Hangin in the Backyard... Today in the News Saturday Edition 7/12/2014: Opening Statement: I was thinking about the Toyota Concert Series at the Fair this year and I found myself thinking about 1984. Why 1984? That was the year I went to my very first concert at the fair. At the time not many people heard of former front man turned solo artist John Waite. John was the former lead singer of The Babys but really broke out with his solo single Missing You which came out in 1984. I was able to see John open the show for a very popular girl group from Seattle named Heart. Heart with John Waite was my very first concert and it was at Cal Expo during the State Fair. This year at the Fair you can see the likes of Joan Jett, Macy Gary, Hinder, The Spinners, America, Brett Michaels and more. Check out the link for the complete State Fair concert series and if you are planning to attend the California State Fair Open Now - July 27 maybe one of your favorites will be appearing...
