The Box Numbers for this week are in and this week to quote Charlton Heston “Those Damn Dirty Apes” took the top spot at the box office taking down Transformers. Dawn of the Planet of The Apes finished with an estimated $73,000,000 while Transformers gets $16,500,000 to finish second. Tammy with $12,910,000 comes in 3rd and 22 Jump Street ($6,700,000) and How To Train Your Dragon 2 ($5,865,000) round out the top 5. 



This past weekend Mark at the Movies celebrated it’s 250th show. While the lineup has changed over the course of the years. the concept has always remained the same. Mark and his Co-host talk about movies like friends talk about them. His first and many of the episodes co starred Ashley Williams which first aired September 26, 2009.



With the memories I have from the days gone by I couldn't help but to think of some of the old Good Day crew when this picture appeared on my timeline first from Ashley and then from Eric of a Saturday night any Good Day long term viewer would enjoy. From around the table. Ashley, Heather, Big Al, Mark, Eric and Jackie. While we still have Mark on both shows and Big Al on Mark at the Movies it brought me tears that the other 4 we once had on Good Day.

Favorite Story of the Day: Ice Cream:
Today's favorite story of the day comes from Amy and the weather.



BREAKING NEWS IT'S HOT! So what better way to cool off than Spaghetti Ice Cream chased with a Root Beer Float.  Which is what Kooky Collector of all things Americana Terry Ryan shared today on Good Day Sacramento with us and Amy.



Before you think it sounds gross hear me out. You take vanilla Ice Cream and squeeze it through a spaghetti maker type strainer to give it that noodle look. Then spread strawberry sauce on top for the red sauce and though this part was not done chocolate ice cream balls for the meatballs. Finally you sprinkle white chocolate shavings over the top to make it look like grated cheese. It looked so good.



Then Terry took us outback to show us her huge Root Beer Float mug collection and made them the way we all like them. Nice and foamy.



This idea is my favorite story on this 104 day and it's fun for kids to make.



Coupon Queen:
Melissa is the Good Day Sacramento Coupon Queen and today she met Jeanette the Coupon Guru.



Both ladies know how to save and shop. I would love to challenge Melissa to shop for me because this weekend alone I spent $70 and I only bought things I need. I look up ways to save but apparently it's not enough. As they say you have to "Pay" to eat healthy.



But enough about me this is about www.coupon.com aka Coupon Guru. She has a blog that will teach you how to save on the website plus coupons that will save you money. I have placed the link to the website, blog and Jeanette's Twitter above for all of you to check out.



Coolest Cooler:
In today's Daily Joe Marianne talked about a Kickstarter campaign to market the Coolest Cooler. No this cooler isn't just cold it is Cool. It has a spot to plug in your Music device and listen to music with Blue Tooth Technology, A Phone or mobile device charging station, a spot for your plate and a knife, and it keeps your food/drinks cold too.



Let Them Eat:
Jason was at the Grand Hotel for a special event to celebrate Bastille Day. The event takes place tonight but Jason got an early start decorating a cake with a popular Grateful Dead Symbol. Jason definitely had a "Leg up" on the competition and like Friday with the Claw Jason was pretty impressive with his decorating skills.



Bastille Day is the French version of Independence Day.



Bowling for Dollars:
Cambi was in Elk Grove learning how to get a custom fitted bowling ball. After they ball was complete she put it to the test and well lets just say she is a better reporter than bowler. She missed every pin twice and the gutter was her friend.



HOT STUFF:
Amy was in the Heat of it today when she went to Firehouse Subs in Natomas. She was there because a recent study said if you eat Spicy food it could be good for your diet. So she put some local firefighters to the test with some Spicy Sriracha Sauce



Summer Sale:
Warren from California Loan and Jewelry has lost his mind. He cut prices so low for his Summer Sizzle Sale that it's a STEAL! Hurry before all the items are gone and remember ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!!!

Tina and Courtney talked about this big 80's party last week that they would be going to over the weekend. Marianne was also in attendance and she was quite the partier as you can see from the photo Courtney provided. Marianne was really cutting the rug.



Lost Dog:
At one time our dogs have all gotten out. Some are lucky and find them right away others are not so if you lose a dog Marianne gave some really good ideas to help you find that lost pup.



Court's Tunes:
Today's edition of Court's Tunes was TV Theme songs. Laura and Ken renewed their rival Laura won 2-1 while SAP, Marianne and Booth got 1 each. It was a much calmer competition today than from Friday when Laura could have taken him to school and instead took him to the Bus Stop to go easy one him



Bad Kisser:
We all like to kiss but HATE Bad Kissers. Today's Manly Minute talked about 5 of them that we don't like and some of us may do including the Deep Throat Kisser. Yeah Don't do that.
