Fun At The Fair.... Today in the News 7/9/2014:

Opening Statement:
Today's Good Day Show Us Yours was Water Park Pictures. I think Water Parks are cool but I had a bad experience at one so I don't go back.

It was at Cal Expo during the fair when they had paddle boats. It was a on a cool day so I was wearing a jacket when a problem occurred with the boat causing it to tip over trapping me underneath.

I won't say I am a strong swimmer but I know how but because of the jacket I had on at the time as it got wetter it became harder to swim plus I had a boat on top of me and panic set in.Luckily another boater stepped in to help. A lesson learned by this teenager at the time but I've never gone back to any water park.

Many women don’t know that pregnancy can/will do a number on your teeth. Kristin hasn't had a cavity in over 10 years, but following her first pregnancy, she had 6 mini cavities. But things get worse; after her 2nd pregnancy, she was surprised with an emergency root canal. Today, she got her crown put on and her other cavity filled LIVE ON GOOD DAY. Favorite Story of the Day: Fair Fun Preview:
This Friday the California State Fair kicks off. Today on Good Day Sacramento Amy got to preview all the things to come and took Camera Guy Terry Hagz with her so all of us could enjoy the preview.

Like any fair, food is a major part so Amy started there. I have no idea what she said after the point of Churro's with bacon wrapped around it. This looked so good my mouth was watering.

Then she brought the cuteness and it wasn't just one it was several baby goats jumping on the back of one big one. But oh no she didn't stop at the goats she showed a baby deer, calf, ponies and lambs all that can be seen in the petting zoo section of the fair.

After leaving that section she headed to the Fur and Feathers Exhibit where she talked to kids already being judged in the 4H competition today to determine who gets to show off their birds and bunnies at the fair.

Enough with the cuteness in the final hour of the show she and Terry headed to the rides. These are not just rides though, these rides came from Neverland Ranch. Yes that one the one Michael Jackson had at his estate and also played on.

These are just 4 fun things to do at the fair with many more to come. I am hoping Melissa bungee jumps or zip lines again this year.

Perhaps this year will end my drought of not going and I will get there as well and write about it. Stay Tuned for that and more Fair Fun making this my Favorite Story of the day.

Hacker Lab:
First the Good News of the Day. Julissa's mini break was just 2 days and was back today. So of course her first thing to do was to check out the Hacker Lab in Sacramento. These kids are not doing any illegal activity but they are creating works of art in the computer lab.

Tired of dumping the whole box of cereal all over the counter? There's an app for that. Now you can get cereal from a dispensary that fills the bowl perfectly. Plus if you want a fun game fill your beer with Beer Battle. This game is controlled by your mind and the more you think the faster it fills.

It's always fun when Stars join via Satellite, Skype or in studio. Today 3 stars joined via Satellite.

First to stop by was Actor Mark Ruffalo. Mark was talking about his new movie Begin Again in theaters now.

The next star to stop by and many fans of ER will remember Goran Visnjic as Doctor Kovac now he has a new role opposite Halle Berry on CBS for Extant. The show premiers tonight so check your local listings.

The third and final star was Michael Douglas who is starting opposite Diane Keaton in And So It Goes. Mr. Douglas joined Laura and Julissa to talk about his role and working with the legendary actress and it's director Rob Reiner. The Movie opens July 18th.

Bike Art:
Cambi was with a local Sacramento Man who takes old child art and wraps them around not only bikes but old bombs. What? As the Gap Band says Cambi You Dropped a Bomb on me with that story. Truthfully what Cody Lane is and has created is pretty awesome work. It could take up 100 hours just to complete 1 bike but he loves doing it.

Day at the Dentist:
Many women go through pregnancy with the same problem Kristin did where the otherwise perfect teeth are effected. Today Kristin shared her story plus got professional advice from her dentist as she got her crown put on.

Dishin:
Today is Wednesday so Tina was Dishin with this weeks feature Burgess Brothers Burgers. One of the twin brothers was in studio but they look so alike it's hard to tell which is which. My my guess was the CHP Officer.

Today's Show and Tell with Cody shared a Florida man making guitars out of Classic Cars. Cody is trying to get him on the weekend show. This is AWESOME!!!

Eppies:
The Eppies Great Race is only 10 days away so today Mark was getting a preview with the Kayakers who are doing team time trials today. The race is July 19th.

Eat With Neighbors:
Today Cambi was in Oak Park with Old Soul Coffee. Businesses are partnering up for the Oak Park Community for a 2nd Thursday of the month through October where people can come out and eat with the neighbors. It also benefits Sac Food Bank.

Daily List:
On Today's Daily List with Marianne she gave 3 things that women need to stop doing. Drying your hair in a towel, pumping mascara (no idea what that means) and forgetting your neck.

In today's Daily Joe A Squirrel is nursed back to heath, a goat tries to get in a chair and a new kind of cupcake

Manly Minute:
If you're a fan of 80's Movies then you've seen Mr. Mom with Michael Keaton. Today's Manly Minute Ken gave 5 tips to becoming a good stay at home dad.
