The Box Office Numbers are in and in a shocking surprise Lucy ($44,025,000) takes the top spot with Hercules ($29,000,000) not even coming close to the top. Coming in 3rd. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes ($16,400,000) and The Purge ($9,896,000) as well as Planes Fire and Rescue ($9,303,000) round out the top 5 with Sex Tape free falling to 6.  



Lucy will be enjoying the top spot this week but if the hype leading up to Guardians of the Galaxy is true I would think Guardians will not only overtake but blow away Lucy and it's competition next week.

Final Thoughts:
Favorite Story of the Day: Surprise for Chole 
When Make A Wish comes through with a special surprise for a child it will always be My Favorite Story of the day. and today is no different. Today 9 year old Chloe who loves tigers went a wish to see them Make A Wish, Folsom Zoo and San Diego Zoo put their heads together to make this very special girls wish come true. Chloe suffers from a heart defect after she was born. 



Instagram Explosion:
For a little over a week I've told you about Good Day Sacramento being on Instagram. Today at the start of the show they had just over 100 followers. 



As of 1115am they blew up to 3000.  



Julissa started giving a tutorial however that became a telethon once the numbers started to rise and at 7ami it was up to 1000 already. I know that by the end of the day if not before I post this they will reach their goal of 3100 because Good Day Sacramento and their fans are the best fans. In fact as of 1255pm they hit 3106. Let's get 5000 by Friday.  



Like Amy party things can get out of control and people can get hurt physically and mentally. Yes that happened....



Driving With Toots:
Dave and Tina are a perfect team for Mobile 13 but when Courtney is off Tina stays in studio, so today Dave and Jason got to drive around. Dave was not a happy camper. Dave also likes it hot so WARNING!!! These pictures are harmful to your eyes. You've been Warned. Enjoy.      



Chocolate:
Amy was at 24 K Chocolate for National Chocolate Day. They have everything chocolate. From Wine, Deserts and Food. All their food has chocolate on it. French Toast With Chocolate, Tea with Chocolate. If you love Chocolate you might have just found your heaven. 



Cocktail Hour / Collection:
Nina made a rare appearance on the show today for National Tequila Day that was Thursday. Nina got a tour from Collector Tim who has a very large collector making him a Kooky Collector for sure. 



Keeping the Cocktail theme going Amy was checking out Greenbar Distillery where they are using Farmers Market Fresh vegetables in their cocktails.



Camping With Toots:
Hard 60 in El Dorado Hills was holding a Softball Camp and Jason went to learn all about it and he kept his shirt on. 



Dog Mural:
Unfortunately by the time you read this the event will be over but today on Good Day Kristin was at Rio Linda Vet Clinic where they painted a Dog Mural on the wall. The event ended at 10am.

In Today's edition of News of the Weird Mark talked about a Sneaker event in Houston Texas and a toddler in Oregon crashed the family jeep into a home. STUPID TEEN OF THE DAY!!! 15 year old lit himself on fire after seeing it down on the internet. Didn't go so well.

Have you ever sucked the jelly out of a jelly donut? Well then what about put it on the grill? It's true today's Daily List 3 other foods you can BBQ including Pizza, Doughnuts and Goat Cheese

5am Club Member:
Today's 5am Club Member was long time viewer Janet Piper. Congrats Janet Well Deserved. 



Infotainment:
Mark shared in Infotainment that Aretha Franklin was not happy with her service at Johnny Rockets and Rihanna getting stalked at home. Jenny McCarthy and Melissa McCarthy are at odds with each other. 



Vets:
Tina was checking out the Forgotten Warrior Veterans Food Bank in Sacramento. This is a way for the community to help vets get food, diapers, and more. This is at the Sacramento Baptist Church in Sacramento . 



They also presented an Angel of Mercy certificate to both Tina and Good Day. 



Get a Job:
How do you land a Job? Ken told you today in his Manly Minute. Social Media is a GREAT way to find out info on the company. Create your own job. Similar to Today in the News and sharing the show info like I do perhaps someone from the company will notice you. Perhaps.
