2. The Purge Anarchy $28,369,000
3. Planes Fire and Rescue $18,000,000
4. Sex Tape $15,000,000
5. Transformers $10,000,000
New Next Week:
1. And So It Goes
2. Hercules
3. Lucy
4.
5.
Final Thoughts:
The Box Office number projections are out and it is not good for Disney's Planes Fire and Rescue. Coming in first for the second week in a row Dawn of the Planet of the Apes with an estimated $36,000,000 followed by The Purge Anarchy with $28,369,000 in #2 and a very disappointing opening for Planes Fire and Rescue with $18,000,000 in third. Rounding out the Top 5 Sex Tape wasn't sexy enough at 4 with $15,000,000 and Transformers with $10,000,000 falls to 5.
I am wondering if people did not go see Planes Fire and Rescue because of the disappointment the First Planes movie was. Let's see what happens next week with Apes when Hercules hits theaters starring Dwayne Johnson.
As we start the next set of 250 shows on the way to 500 Episode 251 was a very Special Edition of Mark at The Movies looking back at some of the bigger Comedies of the 21st Century.
Yes a lot of the movies that could have been recognized did not but it is only a 30 minute show. It was a fun look back at the movies of the Century with your Mark at the Movie Favorites of Mark, Rachel, Brian, Heather, Big Al, Nina, with special appearances by Anna and Gino. Gino provided one of the funniest clips of the show when he sat down with Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock when he brought in Comedian Gilbert Gottfried into the interview room.
The show was a good show and next week should be back to normal with all your favorites including Retro Reel Review.
So until then I will see you at the Movies.
