Cambi was at the Elk Grove Soccer Jamboree who are hosting over 4,500 of its own recreation soccer players, boys and girls ages 6 to 19 and more than 10,000 spectators, referees, and coaches at Elk Grove Regional Park from 9-7pm. Cambi was at the Sacramento Zoo who is bringing together everyone’s favorite things, Baskin Robbins ice cream and zoo animals from 4-8pm. Cambi was at the Mobile Pop-Up Dog Park which is back in Sacramento thanks to popular demand and Midtown Business Association, the Pop-Up Dog Park Truitt Bark Park will also be accompanied by a number of special canine-friendly activities such as having the Front Street Animal Shelter on-site to promote pet adoptions and more.
Dave is learning the ways of the Frontier at Sutter's Fort Historic Park as they Present Hands On History "Fun on the Frontier" Dave was at 7-Eleven for the final day of Bring Your Own Cup to celebrate the 50th Birthday of Slurpee and Back to School. Everyone that comes in today and brings in their own cup can fill it up for $1.50. Dave was with Volunteers as they came together in an attempt to end hunger for The Gold Country Outreach which is a nonprofit organization that will package 10,000 mac & cheese and 10,000 rice and beans free meals today. Dave went bananas for bananas at the 7th Annual Banana Festival taking place today and tomorrow at Shasta Park Sacramento.

Everyone is encouraged to dress as the undead and invade Roosevelt Park for the 3rd Annual Carnival of the Dead, then terrorize the R Street Corridor and return to the park for an outdoor screening of the Sam Raimi’s 1992 Undead Masterpiece ‘Army of Darkness’. Comedian and Co-Host of The Insider Michael Yo joined Cody and Melissa before he performs at Punchline this weekend. Melissa with Michael Yo had today's Hot Headlines.

Today on Good Day Nha was at Old Foothill Farms of Sacramento County where they dedicated a memorial marker in honor of Jag, the Twin Rivers School District K-9 officer that was killed in a training accident last January. We all know the story of Selena Quintanilla Perez, she was the Texas-born Mexican-American singer who shot and killed in 1995 by the president of her fan club. It’s been over 21 years since her tragic death, but her fan club is bigger than ever! This year the family hosted the 2nd Annual Fiesta de la Flor, a festival dedicated to Selena in her hometown of Corpus Christi Texas.

Dave: 20,000 Meals for Hunger
Today on Good Day Dave was with Volunteers as they came together in an attempt to end hunger for The Gold Country Outreach which is a nonprofit organization that will package 10,000 mac & cheese and 10,000 rice and beans free meals today! Over 90 volunteers will help package these meals, which will be distributed to local food banks, schools, and organizations that help feed the hungry. In February, GCO packaged 10,000 meals. The project went so smoothly, the volunteers supported doing 20,000 meals at this event.

Dave: 20,000 Meals for Hunger
Today on Good Day Dave was with Volunteers as they came together in an attempt to end hunger for The Gold Country Outreach which is a nonprofit organization that will package 10,000 mac & cheese and 10,000 rice and beans free meals today! Over 90 volunteers will help package these meals, which will be distributed to local food banks, schools, and organizations that help feed the hungry. In February, GCO packaged 10,000 meals. The project went so smoothly, the volunteers supported doing 20,000 meals at this event.
