The Box office numbers are in and this week we saw Guardians of the Galaxy with an estimated $17,631,000 return to the top spot at the box office. After 2 weeks at #1 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with $16,800,000 falls to #2. Coming in at #3 If I Stay $16,355,000. Let's Be Cops falls 1 spot to #4 with $11,000,000 and rounding out the top 5 When The Game Stands Tall with $9,000,000. In a major disappointment Sin City opens at #8 with $6,477,000
This weeks show was very good. It was nice to see Heather back when she talked about If I Stay which was leading out of the gate on Friday.
The other movies talked about were When The Game Stands Tall. This is the movie I am most excited to see. The movie about a local High School in East Bay (Concord) who's football team won 151 straight games. Everyone liked this movie on the panel this week.
Sin City starring Jessica Alba, Josh Brolin, Eva Green and others was also talked about. Mark liked it and others agreed it was worth seeing.
In Retro Reel Review Kid Critic Jackson talked about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Jackson was first discovered by former Mark at the Movies Co host Ashley Williams during a New York premier. Pretty sure Jackson was like 10 at the time and now he's getting AARP (Not really) but he's definitely grown into being a young man rather than a boy.
I am a big fan of the 2 new girls Mark has brought on but I am also a fan of the old. I love Anna, Heather, and Rachel. I just want to know where Mark finds all his people because they all add something to the show.
