Favorite Story of the Day: Are You Ready For Some Football:
Can you smell it? The grass is getting ready as the stripes are painted on. The sounds of helmets hitting and shoulders pads too. It's back to football for me and you.
Madden 15 is released today. College starts on Thursday and Friday night lights begins this week when Jesuit travels to UC Berkeley to take on De La Salle, The same De La Salle that is featured in the Top 5 movie overall When the Game Stands Tall to kickoff the ESPN 2 High School Friday Football.
This was a game scheduled for Levi's Stadium however with the field issues the game had to be moved to Berkeley but that did not stop Kristin from checking out the team as they prepare for the game on Friday plus they took the Ice Bucket Challenge.
Football is BACK and this was my favorite story of the day today on Good Day.
Dunkin:
They're Back... Dunkin Donuts have returned to Northern California. Today on Good Day Cambi went down to the first location to return in Modesto. I can't speak on their coffee because when I left New York I was too young and I don't like coffee anyway but this was the donut shop to go to. This was our Winchells or our Krispy Cream donuts that we have now. One of the BEST donuts you can have. Nice to see them back in our area even if it is an hour away.
They had a shop at the Courthouse for a year or so in 2002 but folded before now.

Sharon from CNet was back for her Tuesday visit talking about Amazon getting into the video game ring with the purchase of Twitch.

Mark was in Lodi checking in on Bits of Love Jewelry. Cheryl the creator suffers from Lyme disease and makes some very inspirational jewelry.

Today Marianne talked to the creators of Mommy Water. What is Mommy water? A drinkable prenatal vitamin. Marianne tried it and liked it.
Edible Extravaganza:
Edible Extravaganza is coming next week to Modesto, so today on Good Day Cambi previewed the event by stuffing her face with mini cupcakes. Okay she got 1 maybe 2 in her mouth.

What started out as a Kickstarter Preservation Co. now has their own store front. This local company makes everything from Bloody Mary Mix to Hot Sauce and more

We all love Stupid Pet Tricks on David Letterman so last week on Good Day it was Small Pet day and a local viewer from Lodi wrote in saying she has 3 talented Guinea Pigs that can dance, so classic Good Day Style Mark headed to Lodi to find out more and see it for himself.... One problem the Guinea Pigs had epic TV performance FAIL!!! Nothing to see here today.

Mark had a complete recap of the 66th Annual Emmy Awards last night and it's big winners including Breaking Bad.
Manly Minute:
Today's Manly Minute talked about 5 of the top 100 football players to start here in Sacramento area for their High School team. Bear Linebacker and Elk Grove native Lance Briggs made the top 100 but not the top 5. However 2 Cordova Lancers did make the top 5. I think they got the homer pick from Ken but I agree with Kevin Willhite pick because when he played he was a beast. I also agree with Tedy Bruschi who I got to see play quite a bit for the Patriots being a Bills Fan. One thing Ken did not mention about Onterrio Smith was he was the player for the Vikings that put the Whizzinator on the sports pages when he got caught cheating using PED's. He had such a bright future before he through it all away. or whizzed it away.

Favorite Story of the Day: Are You Ready For Some Football:
Can you smell it? The grass is getting ready as the stripes are painted on. The sounds of helmets hitting and shoulders pads too. It's back to football for me and you.
Madden 15 is released today. College starts on Thursday and Friday night lights begins this week when Jesuit travels to UC Berkeley to take on De La Salle, The same De La Salle that is featured in the Top 5 movie overall When the Game Stands Tall to kickoff the ESPN 2 High School Friday Football.
This was a game scheduled for Levi's Stadium however with the field issues the game had to be moved to Berkeley but that did not stop Kristin from checking out the team as they prepare for the game on Friday plus they took the Ice Bucket Challenge.
Football is BACK and this was my favorite story of the day today on Good Day.
Dunkin:
They're Back... Dunkin Donuts have returned to Northern California. Today on Good Day Cambi went down to the first location to return in Modesto. I can't speak on their coffee because when I left New York I was too young and I don't like coffee anyway but this was the donut shop to go to. This was our Winchells or our Krispy Cream donuts that we have now. One of the BEST donuts you can have. Nice to see them back in our area even if it is an hour away.
They had a shop at the Courthouse for a year or so in 2002 but folded before now.

One problem the Guinea Pigs had epic TV performance FAIL!!! Nothing to see here today.

Mark had a complete recap of the 66th Annual Emmy Awards last night and it's big winners including Breaking Bad.
Manly Minute:
Today's Manly Minute talked about 5 of the top 100 football players to start here in Sacramento area for their High School team. Bear Linebacker and Elk Grove native Lance Briggs made the top 100 but not the top 5. However 2 Cordova Lancers did make the top 5. I think they got the homer pick from Ken but I agree with Kevin Willhite pick because when he played he was a beast. I also agree with Tedy Bruschi who I got to see play quite a bit for the Patriots being a Bills Fan. One thing Ken did not mention about Onterrio Smith was he was the player for the Vikings that put the Whizzinator on the sports pages when he got caught cheating using PED's. He had such a bright future before he through it all away. or whizzed it away.
