On today's Good Day Sacramento after a recent award Sacramento International Airport finished 3rd in Happy Passengers. Cambi Brown is going to the Airport to talk to some passengers to find out why they love the airport. Cambi is checking out Golden Corral as they prepare for a special family party. We check out Box of Style which is a seasonal subscription box curated by The Zoe Report the online style destination from stylist, designer and editor Rachel Zoe. The Book is open to the community to give students or the community the opportunity to express themselves with Graffiti Art. Looking to decorate your home? Heather Brent is checking out Regalo Bello. Heather will also be at Tap House Pizza for some Girl Scout Cookies and Beer Pairings. Smack Pie Pizza in Lodi is celebrating 2 years and today we check out the festivities. Monday Evan's Kitchen And Catering is hosting an Irish Dinner and today he's making Guinness Glazed Pork Shank. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters Friday March 25th and today Ben Schwartz from Empire's Comics Vault is with Cody to talk about it and the comics. Lincoln High School (Lincoln, California) Lincoln High School Elite Choir are heading to a nine-day, four-city tour through Austria, The Czech Republic, and Germany in celebration of the 51st anniversary of “The Sound of Music but need our help and today we will not only find out how to help them with their GoFundMe Page but we we will get to hear them. Cody was with The Lincoln High School Elite choir who has performed onstage with the rock band Foreigner twice, and sung onstage at Carnegie Hall. In June of 2016, The Lincoln High School Elite Choir will become music ambassadors, proudly representing our community as they engage in a nine-day, four-city tour through Austria, The Czech Republic, and Germany in celebration of the 51st anniversary of “The Sound of Music”. Today they performed on the Good Day stage and told how viewers can help them fund their trip!
Thea Green from Nails Inc joined Cody and Marianne to talk about Paint Can Nails This UK company practically broke the internet (at least in all parts beauty) last November, when the announced a new product: Paint can nail polish. Yup, a nail polish that you spray onto your fingers like spray paint. The line sold out within a week and us poor Americans were forced onto a waitlist. But wait no more, it releases this coming week Paint Can nails will be available March 22nd at Sephora. Marianne and Cody joined Raley’s Wellness Evangelist Emmie Satrazemis to show some creative, healthy delicious ways to incorporate veggies into your smoothies and into your diet! Marianne: Guinness Glazed Pork Shank
St. Patrick’s Day may be over, but that doesn’t mean celebrating the luck of the Irish does! Tomorrow, Today on Good Day Marianne was with Che Even talking more about Evan’s Kitchen who is hosting an Irish dinner for people to come and enjoy! On the menu? A Guinness glazed pork shank!
Ingredients:
1 large carrot
4 ribs celery stalk
1 medium yellow onion
10-12 black peppercorns
1 sprig rosemary
1 au jus packet
1 gallon water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar in the raw
1 16 oz Guinness
1 tbs cornstarch or roux
Preparation
Roughly chop the celery, carrot, and onion, then roast in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and put all ingredients into a stock pot except the Guinness. Simmer until reduced by 3/4. Add Guinness and reduce by 1/2. While still simmering, add cornstarch slurry or roux. Stir well until mixed and smooth.

In June of 2016, The Lincoln High School Elite Choir will become music ambassadors, proudly representing our community as they engage in a nine-day, four-city tour through Austria, The Czech Republic, and Germany in celebration of the 51st anniversary of “The Sound of Music”.
