Then Cambi gets a taste of Mexico at the Crest Theater viewing Grandeza Folk Ballet Company's production of Un Tributo a Mexico (A Tribute to Mexico).Apple Hill is NOW Open and Kristin is there all morning long. Kevin continues #ForceFriday checking out what's left at WalMart after Melissa was there yesterday. Kevin will also hang out at Sacanime before going to Roseville to Fill the Boot for MDA.Cody and Melissa will have a busy show as they welcome Mike on the Mic will be in to talk about the River Cats Fan Appreciation Night. Cody had just enough so you don't sound silly. Cody was with Sacramento River Cats spokesperson Mike Osborn, aka Mic on the Mic to talk about the final 3 games of the season. Cody was with Wilton Fire Association getting a preview of next weekends Chili Cook Off and Classic Car Show. Cody was with Officers Nolan and Hannah. Nolan is tall and Hannah is a lot shorter. Cody was in the Kitchen with Neena The Kitchen Curry Master.
Quick Thought:
What a way to kick off Labor Day Weekend. Cody and Melissa and the weekend crew really did it up big and that included Melissa's hair is part of the preview of the Blacktop Comedy Play Steel Magnolias who even gave a performance on the Good Day Stage and will continue this and next weekend. Melissa's hair wasn't the only thing big today Woodland PD's Tallest and shortest officers came into the studio to show off their height or lack there of but Officer Nolan 6'4 and Officer Hannah 4'8 were great sports.
Love Chili and Classic Cars and Firefighters? Then next weekend's Chili Cookoff and Classic Car show with the Wilton Fire Department is the place to be as Cody got a preview of today. However Wilton Fire wasn't the only Fire Department featured on the show today Kevin was with Roseville Fire for their Fill the Boot Campaign for MDA.
Kevin actually had a lot of fun today when he first checked out Star Wars Toys at Walmart and Cos Play Costumes at SacAnime
I love Neena aka Kitchen Curry Master so whenever she is on the show it makes for a good one. Cody was with her today making a shrimp dish and offering her kit for $39.99 and buy 2 get a 3rd FREE Perfect for a Christmas gift or 2 plus you can keep one.

Cambi loves her dog and she is also pretty good at painting ceramics. Today she was at Color Me Mine who are having a Dog Bowl Paining Contest. Cambi was also at the 25th annual Chalk It Up in Sacramento.

Melissa: Steel Magnolias:
Who doesn't love the story of Steel Magnolias? The famous play and story has come to The Alternative Arts Collective in Rocklin! The story is about six southern women and the close bonds they have created while getting their hair done in a converted garage salon. There is lots of laughter, snark and tears. The play is based on the true story of the playwright's mother and sister. The show will run for six performances, opening September 4th and closing September 12th.
Today the TAAC joins us in studio to act a scene out for us from the show and are also going to make Melissa into a Southern Belle!

Today on Good Day Cambi was on the streets of Sacramento who are being filled with color at the 25th annual Arts And Music festival! This is a unique free event that encourages and allows everyone to come out and create art while also enjoying the art of so many others.
This weekend is expected to bring in over 200 chalk Artists creating sidewalk art, over 30 musical acts performing through 3 days, over a dozen food vendors, over 50 merchant and community booths, and a beer garden featuring craft beers, wine, sangria and mimosas! This year the money raised is going to be awarded to 25 art grants in celebration of the 25th year.
Today on Good Day Cambi was there as the chalk artists begin their creations that will span over the next 3 days!

Today on Good Day Kevin was checking out SacAnime. "The pop-culture convention with the Anime Twist" is returning to the Sacramento Convention Center this weekend! The bi-annual anime/pop culture convention is expecting over 14,000 attendees, many of whom will be cosplaying as their favorite anime or pop culture characters.

Today on Good Day Cody was with Officers Nolan and Hannah. Nolan is tall and Hannah is a lot shorter but this all started when earlier this month the Queensland Police Service in Cairns, Australia highlighted the fact that police officers really do come in all shapes and sizes. A photo of 2 of their officers went viral after a female officer and a male officer stood back to back with the female standing at 5' tall and the male standing at 6'7".
Well not to be outdone, two of the Woodland Police Department school resource officers, Officer Nolan McManus and Officer Hannah Gray actually beat their height difference by one inch!!! Today we're meeting Officer Hannah Gray, who at at 4'11" (size 6.5 shoe) has been an officer for 6 years! And meeting Officer Nolan McManus who has been an officer for 7 years and is 6'8" and wears a size 15 shoe!!

Kevin: Fill The Boot
Today on Good Day Kevin was with Roseville Fire as the Fill the Boot for MDA.
This year fighters in the Roseville/Placer County area are hosting their annual "Fill the Boot" campaign! Funds raised through 2015 Placer County Fill the boot events build on decades of research progress, helping push science to its limits in the search for treatments and cures. Dollars raised also help support MDA's life-enhancing programs such as state-of-the-art support groups and clinics, including the MDA Clinic at UC Davis in Sacramento. In 2013, more than 100,000 fire fighters participated in Fill the Boot events across the country and raised $26.2 million. To date the IAFF has raised $558 million for MDA!

What a way to kick off Labor Day Weekend. Cody and Melissa and the weekend crew really did it up big and that included Melissa's hair is part of the preview of the Blacktop Comedy Play Steel Magnolias who even gave a performance on the Good Day Stage and will continue this and next weekend. Melissa's hair wasn't the only thing big today Woodland PD's Tallest and shortest officers came into the studio to show off their height or lack there of but Officer Nolan 6'4 and Officer Hannah 4'8 were great sports.
Love Chili and Classic Cars and Firefighters? Then next weekend's Chili Cookoff and Classic Car show with the Wilton Fire Department is the place to be as Cody got a preview of today. However Wilton Fire wasn't the only Fire Department featured on the show today Kevin was with Roseville Fire for their Fill the Boot Campaign for MDA.
Kevin actually had a lot of fun today when he first checked out Star Wars Toys at Walmart and Cos Play Costumes at SacAnime

Who doesn't love the story of Steel Magnolias? The famous play and story has come to The Alternative Arts Collective in Rocklin! The story is about six southern women and the close bonds they have created while getting their hair done in a converted garage salon. There is lots of laughter, snark and tears. The play is based on the true story of the playwright's mother and sister. The show will run for six performances, opening September 4th and closing September 12th.
Today the TAAC joins us in studio to act a scene out for us from the show and are also going to make Melissa into a Southern Belle!

Today on Good Day Cambi was on the streets of Sacramento who are being filled with color at the 25th annual Arts And Music festival! This is a unique free event that encourages and allows everyone to come out and create art while also enjoying the art of so many others.
This weekend is expected to bring in over 200 chalk Artists creating sidewalk art, over 30 musical acts performing through 3 days, over a dozen food vendors, over 50 merchant and community booths, and a beer garden featuring craft beers, wine, sangria and mimosas! This year the money raised is going to be awarded to 25 art grants in celebration of the 25th year.

Today on Good Day Cody was with Officers Nolan and Hannah. Nolan is tall and Hannah is a lot shorter but this all started when earlier this month the Queensland Police Service in Cairns, Australia highlighted the fact that police officers really do come in all shapes and sizes. A photo of 2 of their officers went viral after a female officer and a male officer stood back to back with the female standing at 5' tall and the male standing at 6'7".
Well not to be outdone, two of the Woodland Police Department school resource officers, Officer Nolan McManus and Officer Hannah Gray actually beat their height difference by one inch!!! Today we're meeting Officer Hannah Gray, who at at 4'11" (size 6.5 shoe) has been an officer for 6 years! And meeting Officer Nolan McManus who has been an officer for 7 years and is 6'8" and wears a size 15 shoe!!

Today on Good Day Kevin was with Roseville Fire as the Fill the Boot for MDA.
This year fighters in the Roseville/Placer County area are hosting their annual "Fill the Boot" campaign! Funds raised through 2015 Placer County Fill the boot events build on decades of research progress, helping push science to its limits in the search for treatments and cures. Dollars raised also help support MDA's life-enhancing programs such as state-of-the-art support groups and clinics, including the MDA Clinic at UC Davis in Sacramento. In 2013, more than 100,000 fire fighters participated in Fill the Boot events across the country and raised $26.2 million. To date the IAFF has raised $558 million for MDA!
