Thursday, October 8th, Melissa is back from her off days and today she is heading to Positive Practice to learn how this new store can help heal your body inside and out. In today's Check This Out Kiehl’s just unveiled a new formula to boost your skin’s daytime defense system and we'll learn more about it. There's a new Margaritaville Yucca Plant and today we get a closer look at UC Davis Arboretum. Stockton Native singer/songwriter Shannon Curtis will perform on the Good Day Stage. Woodland is getting fit and today Melissa will be at Velocity Island Park where everyone from the mayor to police officers will have a paddleboard race on the water. It's Thursday and that means it's time for Sacramento SPCA Pet of the Week. Today we meet Special Needs Puppy "Tippy" Tippy needs extra help with getting around so she has a wheelchair to help. We meet father Peter (conductor for the Stockton Symphony) and son James (cellist in the Zhou-Yu-Jaffe Trio) who are teaming up for a special event. Local students are taking time out of their busy school day to pack lunches for other kids in need. We meet a Husband and Wife team that formed to make Pizza Porch Food Truck. Melissa checks out Sweet Dozen only catch is they are now on wheels. How cool is that a for a Food Truck. We meet Poprocks a Dance team is a group of girls from Davis who pop in & rock out at community events. We get a preview of River City Marketplace which is a makers’ market designed to showcase local artists, designers, crafters, and small businesses. This weekend they will also host the first ever food swap. Ken will close the show with his Manly Minute talking about a recent poll shows that 56% of Office workers engage in a romance. The Poprocks dance team is a group of girls from Davis who pop in & rock out at community events. The focus of the group is to not only entertain audiences, but to build confidence in these young ladies – many of whom haven’t had a lot of previous experience.

As for what took place on today's Good Day A New Store in Sacramento has opened and Melissa was with Mandy, Reiki Master at Positive Practice which is aimed to help heal your body from the inside out. After Melissa done getting her healing she was at Velocity Island Park where everyone from the Mayor to Police officers will have a paddleboard race as part of their #Commit4Fit Program..Melissa finished her day when she was in Downtown Sacramento with Sweet Dozen and their new donut cart handing out treats.
Lori was back today and she was at UC Davis Arboretum checking out the Margaritaville Plant and more drought friendly plants plus she found out about the Public Sale Oct 10th at 11am-1pm taking place at the Arboretum
While at an accident a dog that has been named "Crash" came to Dave. Dave made his way back to the studio to talk about it with Courtney. Courtney also had today's Check This Out from Kiehl's. Fall is here and winter is right around the corner that means it’s time to protect your precious skin from the elements!! Final Thought on today's show
After a tough day of learning a local hero was attacked it's hard to find something that was a favorite from today's show but with that said Good Day had some pretty awesome segments that included Cody with Blessings in a Backpack where local kids are helping those in need. Shannon Curtis performing on the Good Day stage was not only beautiful but sent chills through me with her voice. Woodland City leaders getting fit at Velocity Island. Lori checking out Plants at UC Davis. Laura getting a preview of the River City Marketplace. Mark with Porch Pizza and Courtney with her Check This Out, Sacramento SPCA Pet of the Week Tippy and Dave finding the Dog "Crash" while at an accident. Of course everyone at Good Day for their hard work and support they give me and I have to say my continued prayers for the quick recovery of Spencer Stone. After a tough day of learning a local hero was attacked it's hard to find something that was a favorite from today's show but with that said Good Day had some pretty awesome segments that included Cody with Blessings in a Backpack where local kids are helping those in need. Shannon Curtis performing on the Good Day stage was not only beautiful but sent chills through me with her voice. Woodland City leaders getting fit at Velocity Island. Lori checking out Plants at UC Davis. Laura getting a preview of the River City Marketplace. Mark with Porch Pizza and Courtney with her Check This Out, Sacramento SPCA Pet of the Week Tippy and Dave finding the Dog "Crash" while at an accident. Of course everyone at Good Day for their hard work and support they give me and I have to say my continued prayers for the quick recovery of Spencer Stone.
