Thrive at Get Fit Davis
Today on Good Day Lori was Get Fit Davis w/ Amy Spence checking out a workout program that officially starts tomorrow for all the busy moms out there who find it hard to hit the gym. Thrive is a new women’s program at Get Fit Davis that lasts 8-weeks and centers around fitness, food and well-being. The program was founded and run by Amy Spence, who is a mom of 3 kids under 6.
Amy says the program is a body program for women, who can come to one class and walk away with workouts to do at home, nutrition plans, and learn about mental health, and spiritual well being.

The weekend is now done and by did we have some fun first with Melissa's Birthday yesterday and now of course with today's show. Nha was off today so Lori filled in out in the field and as always did a fantastic job. Cambi was stunning in red, Heather was the party girl, Tina was in Dallas, Mark had a minute. Cody was with a great kid who got a surprise of a life time plus he and Melissa dressed for National Princess Week. Melissa was shaking it off. So let's start the day talking about Lori, Cambi, Heather, Tina, Melissa, and Cody.
Lori started her day in Davis for a little workout at Get Fit in Davis. After leaving there it was time for some food and she found her way to Stack'd & Brew'd in Woodland for a new sandwich spot where you can build your own sandwich. After she was fed it was back to Davis for some heart pumping gear shifting racing action. However it appeared Lori was stuck in traffic at 5pm on HWY 99 because she wasn't going very fast but nonetheless it was fun and Lori did a great.
Cambi started her day at the Zoo for ZooZoom where she talked to some of the runners prior to the start including a frog. Then it was time to get nails done for a cause at Lacquered Nail Salon who is holding an event to give back to St. Johns. After she left there she headed to California Auto Museum to check out a Ferrari being detailed and an event coming up May 17th. Then it was time for a Cambi breakfast at Wienerschnitzel who introduced 4 new Chili Cheese Fries. Cambi was in HEAVEN!!!!
In the 80's Eddie Murphy came out with a Rick James Song called My Girl Likes To Party All The Time. Today Heather was that girl. She first started her day checking out a new Party Place for kids and adults called Party Place in Rocklin. They are trying to expand and could use some help. Then Heather headed to Rockabetty's Hair Salon to get her hair done to look like a Princess. Why? This week is National Princess Week and with Heather from Party City in Roseville they showed how to throw a Princess Party in the 10am hour
Tina did a GREAT job giving a preview of the ACM Awards and I am even going to watch it. She interviewed many of the stars performing and up for awards from Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley Band Perry Miranda Lambert and Reba to name a few. More on Reba later. She also took time to give not 1 but 2 Dishin With Tina's from Texas. Steak n Shake and Cracker Barrell. I've only heard GREAT things from both these places who are coming to our area soon.
Melissa transformed into a Princess even though we already know she is. Plus she chatted with Delta Charter School who made a video to help kids get ready for State Testing with a Shake It Off Video. She also talked with Freeport Bakery about a Mad Hatter event they have coming up this week.
We know Cody is King but today he dressed as a Prince for National Princess Week. Cody talked to a couple of local developers who created a new app that lets people broadcast with others. The BEST Part the creators said if they reach their kickstarter goal Melissa and Cody can fire Paintballs at them. Let's reach that goal. In one of my favorite segments Cody Slapped us with Science. Cody also talked with Colin. No not his son but this Colin is a Jedi and had a concern so he wrote George Lucas a letter and got a very cool response. Ben from Empire Comic Vault was in studio talking about Daredevil. Netflix just recently released it and Cody as well as myself got a lesson on the popular Superhero.
One thing that was going to take place today was moved to next Sunday with this day being so heavy already so look for that next weekend. For all these GREAT stories and more this is DareDevil Cody... Today in the News...

Bryan was badly beaten while attending a baseball game 4 years ago and has gone through many hours of Physical Therapy and surgeries to find his way back. Today on Good Day Cambi was at the Sacramento Zoo for 35th Annual ZooZoom as the race got started. Can you sprint like a lion? Today runners will be taking to the streets of Sacramento dressed in animal costumes! The 35th Annual ZooZoom is a 5k and 10k run that is fun for the whole family! Runners are encouraged to dress as their favorite zoo animals for the race!

Today on Good Day Cody and Melissa talked with John Deaderick from Colfax HIgh, John is a drama club teacher and is retiring after 35 years of teaching! John has been teaching at Colfax High for the last 14 years and been teaching for over 35 years total! John started the drama club at Colfax High with less than $20 in the budget and turned it into a full blown program!
The drama club’s final show that John is currently directing is the Wizard of Oz, their most ambitious play yet. It’s also the grand finale for veteran actor, director, and educator, He leaves behind a legacy of building one of the most successful high school arts programs and one of the best-equipped theaters in Northern California. Today on Good Day Cambi was at the California Automobile Museum who was giving a car some professional detailing! But it’s not just any car, it’s a 1985 Ferrari 308 that is on display this weekend only! People can come in and learn what it takes to detail a high-end car.

Today on Good Day Lori was Get Fit Davis w/ Amy Spence checking out a workout program that officially starts tomorrow for all the busy moms out there who find it hard to hit the gym. Thrive is a new women’s program at Get Fit Davis that lasts 8-weeks and centers around fitness, food and well-being. The program was founded and run by Amy Spence, who is a mom of 3 kids under 6.
Amy says the program is a body program for women, who can come to one class and walk away with workouts to do at home, nutrition plans, and learn about mental health, and spiritual well being.

The weekend is now done and by did we have some fun first with Melissa's Birthday yesterday and now of course with today's show. Nha was off today so Lori filled in out in the field and as always did a fantastic job. Cambi was stunning in red, Heather was the party girl, Tina was in Dallas, Mark had a minute. Cody was with a great kid who got a surprise of a life time plus he and Melissa dressed for National Princess Week. Melissa was shaking it off. So let's start the day talking about Lori, Cambi, Heather, Tina, Melissa, and Cody.
Lori started her day in Davis for a little workout at Get Fit in Davis. After leaving there it was time for some food and she found her way to Stack'd & Brew'd in Woodland for a new sandwich spot where you can build your own sandwich. After she was fed it was back to Davis for some heart pumping gear shifting racing action. However it appeared Lori was stuck in traffic at 5pm on HWY 99 because she wasn't going very fast but nonetheless it was fun and Lori did a great.
Cambi started her day at the Zoo for ZooZoom where she talked to some of the runners prior to the start including a frog. Then it was time to get nails done for a cause at Lacquered Nail Salon who is holding an event to give back to St. Johns. After she left there she headed to California Auto Museum to check out a Ferrari being detailed and an event coming up May 17th. Then it was time for a Cambi breakfast at Wienerschnitzel who introduced 4 new Chili Cheese Fries. Cambi was in HEAVEN!!!!
In the 80's Eddie Murphy came out with a Rick James Song called My Girl Likes To Party All The Time. Today Heather was that girl. She first started her day checking out a new Party Place for kids and adults called Party Place in Rocklin. They are trying to expand and could use some help. Then Heather headed to Rockabetty's Hair Salon to get her hair done to look like a Princess. Why? This week is National Princess Week and with Heather from Party City in Roseville they showed how to throw a Princess Party in the 10am hour
Tina did a GREAT job giving a preview of the ACM Awards and I am even going to watch it. She interviewed many of the stars performing and up for awards from Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley Band Perry Miranda Lambert and Reba to name a few. More on Reba later. She also took time to give not 1 but 2 Dishin With Tina's from Texas. Steak n Shake and Cracker Barrell. I've only heard GREAT things from both these places who are coming to our area soon.
Melissa transformed into a Princess even though we already know she is. Plus she chatted with Delta Charter School who made a video to help kids get ready for State Testing with a Shake It Off Video. She also talked with Freeport Bakery about a Mad Hatter event they have coming up this week.
We know Cody is King but today he dressed as a Prince for National Princess Week. Cody talked to a couple of local developers who created a new app that lets people broadcast with others. The BEST Part the creators said if they reach their kickstarter goal Melissa and Cody can fire Paintballs at them. Let's reach that goal. In one of my favorite segments Cody Slapped us with Science. Cody also talked with Colin. No not his son but this Colin is a Jedi and had a concern so he wrote George Lucas a letter and got a very cool response. Ben from Empire Comic Vault was in studio talking about Daredevil. Netflix just recently released it and Cody as well as myself got a lesson on the popular Superhero.
One thing that was going to take place today was moved to next Sunday with this day being so heavy already so look for that next weekend. For all these GREAT stories and more this is DareDevil Cody... Today in the News...

Today runners will be taking to the streets of Sacramento dressed in animal costumes! The 35th Annual ZooZoom is a 5k and 10k run that is fun for the whole family! Runners are encouraged to dress as their favorite zoo animals for the race!

Today on Good Day Cody and Melissa talked with John Deaderick from Colfax HIgh, John is a drama club teacher and is retiring after 35 years of teaching! John has been teaching at Colfax High for the last 14 years and been teaching for over 35 years total! John started the drama club at Colfax High with less than $20 in the budget and turned it into a full blown program!
The drama club’s final show that John is currently directing is the Wizard of Oz, their most ambitious play yet. It’s also the grand finale for veteran actor, director, and educator, He leaves behind a legacy of building one of the most successful high school arts programs and one of the best-equipped theaters in Northern California. Today on Good Day Cambi was at the California Automobile Museum who was giving a car some professional detailing! But it’s not just any car, it’s a 1985 Ferrari 308 that is on display this weekend only! People can come in and learn what it takes to detail a high-end car.
