Help For Hope
Today on Good Day Kristin was at Front Street Shelter where this sweet pooch was left for dead on the steps at the Front Street Animal Shelter Tuesday morning. When staff arrived, they thought she was gone, but as they approached her, her tail started wagging. The staff and community stepped up to the plate and helped raise thousands of dollars for her care and she is now in a foster home, looking for her forever home.

Chocolate, Peeps, Pets, and Thunder From Down Under. As Alexis said she learned today to safe a horse and ride a cowboy. I don't know what that means so I will just leave it alone and tell you that Nha also got to experience Thunder From Down Under with a quick workout with them before they performed on the Good Day Stage. You can see the group this weekend at Cache Creek.
Nha started her day filling in for Cody at the weather center and while nervous at the beginning each time she became more and more comfortable. After Alexis took over in weather Nha headed to Le Grand Confectionary where she saw a 35 lb bunny and a 50 lb egg made of chocolate. She then discovered how the truffles are made and boxed. So did she get to bring samples?
Nha wasn't the only one talking chocolate and candies today Tina started the day checking out new Peeps that included Sour Apple Flavor. Good/Bad News Cody's Peep eating record of 31 from last year is still safe. Nha ate 3 and she said it was too many. Tina also talked with Ramon from Puur Chocolat who came into studio to show off their newest product.
Kristin started her day at Front Street Animal Shelter who told the story of "Hope" who needs a new loving home then headed to Roseville for a special needs child getting donations for special computers to help those with special needs.
Sac State has launched a Spirit campaign for all students past and present, facility, and other staff to wear green on Thursday.
Pet of the Week is back and today Marianne was with Sacramento SPCA who have a rooster for adoption.

Today on Good Day Kristin was in Roseville where a library specialist with the Roseville branches, and single mother of a special needs daughter, helped raise and secure $10k to purchase computers for special needs kids to use while at the library. Kristin: Special Needs Library
Today on Good Day Kristin was in Roseville where a library specialist with the Roseville branches, and single mother of a special needs daughter, helped raise and secure $10k to purchase computers for special needs kids to use while at the library. She got enough to put 1 pc, software and technical devices at each of the three Roseville locations.
