New Years Eve.... Today in the News 12/31/2013:
Opening Statement:
Today is the final day of 2013, What a year it has been. I have been given so many blessed opportunities from those at Good Day Sacramento, especially Cody Stark, Mark S. Allen, Tina Macuha and Ken Rudolph. I am looking forward to 2014 and what my goals are ahead. But before I get there I need to explain why Thursday's Today in the News entry is up in the air. As you may or may not know I have a brain tumor. The tumor is placed on my Optic Nerve behind my right eye. This is NOT cancer but it is a tumor. Because of the placement of it, it causes pain in the eye thus creating headaches that cause dizziness and vomiting. However with all that I manage to keep going because one thing I have learned from those mentioned above and Ashley Williams, Stefanie Cruz and others is to fight on, so I do. Thursday they are doing a procedure that has a 95% success rate to rid the pain for a little while. However with that comes a risk of a 5% chance illness or death could occur should fluid leak into my system during the procedure. I like my chances. They say the process takes about 90 minutes total and then I can come home. Depending on how I feel I will write Good Day Sacramento but I am not sure. Stay tuned to Cody's twitter/facebook page for any updates ( @tvcody ). So there you have it. Wish me luck.
I think on New Years Day with no Fox40 I am going to keep it to Good Day Sacramento only but do a special year in review.

Each year, the UC Davis Bariatric Surgery Program spotlights Bariatric patients as they model fashions for business, leisure and formal occasions.
This year’s event features men and women who have lost weight in the months following their gastric bypass, vertical sleeve gastrectomy or laparoscopic band operations. Models will share brief personal stories and photos from their battles with extreme weight and then walk the runway in the latest fashions from local clothing stores.
Proceeds benefit the UC Davis Bariatric Surgery Program.

Final Thoughts:
Today on the 3 shows it was all about New Years Eve parties and the preperatiton around them. Of course everyone was in Old Sacramento for the BIG show but My58 was checking out the party at the Hyatt Regency, Fox was checking out the party at McClellan Park and Good Day Sacramento was checking out the party at the Waterfront Hotel in Stockton. Also all 3 shows asked what your resolution for 2014 will be. I don't make them but I do have a goal and that is to make a difference in at least 1 persons life.
Also on My58 Lisa was getting hair tips so all you females can look amazing at your party tonight.
Fox40 had Sabrina in charge of your New Years Eve Cocktail ideas, while also doing some DIY Party projects.
Good Day Sacramento had the most fun of all 3 stations with their cast of characters but they also discussed a serious topic with Kaiser Hospital System of what to look for and how to help those who suffer from depression especially around the holiday season.
Mark did a special edition of AllenTown from Stockton. He even went to a house party that had a child celebrating his 14th birthday and the Waterfront Hotel Prep for their big party.
Lori was the resident Firework show prep reporter and played the Top 2013 songs from Court's Tunes.
Courtney checked out some Flirty Aprons for men and woman. Also checked out some cute shoes and accessories.
Marianne met the Highest Ebay bidder on her Apron that she sewed then raised the money for charity. Marianne also gave 3 GREAT tips in her Daily list and fun things in her Daily Joe.
Ken's Manly minute was one that is so true that you do not want to kiss at Midnight tonight.
Finally McKenna Faith.... WOW!!! SHE WAS GREAT!!!!! I hope all of you can check her out at some point if not tonight from the New Years Eve Spectacular. She was off the hook amazing..
