Opening Statement:
Today is a Special Edition of Today in the News so that I can attend a Nationally Syndicated show later today that I was invited to take part in. At the time of writing this portion of Today in the News I am unsure what my role will be in this Special Edition Episode that tapes today for the first showing airing on Friday but I am very excited that I was asked to attend.

This week is going to be a very different week as well. Tuesday will be a complete recap of all 3 shows, Wednesday will be Good Day Sacramento and My58, (No Fox40 Show Scheduled) Thursday will be either ONLY Good Day Sacramento or not any at all.... (More on that Tuesday). Friday will be complete with all 3 shows pending the outcome of Thursday.

NFL Scoreboard:
Dallas falls to Philadelphia 24-22 in a win or go home game Dallas falls for the 3rd straight time.
The Saints took frustration out on Tampa Bay winning 42-17.
The Raiders are still the Raiders falling to Denver 34-12 led by Peyton Manning record breaking season.
The Colts rolled over the Jags 30-10/
San Francisco got by Arizona 23-20 in OT.
Seattle kept the #1 seed in their Playoff Spot beating the Rams 27-9
Baltimore will not be going to the Post Season losing to the Bengals 34-17
Buffalo finished 6-10 on the season losing to the Patriots again 34-20. :(  


Final Thoughts:
Today on the show Marianne came back from vacation. It was great seeing her back. I really enjoyed both her Daily List and Daily Joe.

Kristin Marshall leaves the show today for Maternity leave prior to giving birth to her new child.  GOOD LUCK KRISTIN!!!!

Today Julissa showed a couple of new apps that connect with your Instagram. These apps are so cool I have already downloaded both of them.

Mark did some entertainment reporting today as the year comes to a close.

Melissa checked out a local group making money for college by singing for their college fund. College Fund is a pretty awesome group with talent. Nice job by these kids.

Today is National Bacon Day and Good Day Sacramento had a lot of fun with that including getting viewers to send bacon pictures in. It was Mark that took it to another level when he visited friends of the show Rivers Edge Cafe for a few segments including when Good Day Cast members Sean Bennett, Kristin Marshall and later Julian Lang enjoying breakfast... This is the spot to meet Good Day Cast members it appears.

Lori Wallace was here today first doing news hits and then getting crafty first with  Happy Wish Company and then Craft Castle learning fun DIY projects. She also covered the 9am hour with Julissa. Make sure you follow her on twitter @tvloriwallace

Melissa went to check out ways to look good on New Years. I can't wait for her to rock the jacket Sean got her Christmas to go with a new outfit.

In many circumstances women lose their hair whether it be from illness, giving birth etc... Today Courtney went to check out tips and tricks to use if needed.

At 9am Craig Ashton came in to play Stump the Lawyer.. It's always GREAT seeing Craig in studio.

Ken's Manly Minute was very topical with both Kristin and Audrey both getting set to give birth. I have much respect for Ken not for today but as a friend, mentor, and journalist.
