Opening Statement:
Christmas has come and gone now the year will end in a week. So all those busy days of shopping are far behind us and trying to find that perfect gift for that special someone. Today much of the day will be the shows asking things as what did you get, what is your favorite, what are you returning? I can honestly say I will not be returning anything and I got a lot of stuff to add on to my Toy Soldier Collection as well as the Ipad I wanted though it is not the Ipad Air I really don't care. My Christmas was filled with love, family and of course 2 hours of my favorite show that included learning different Holiday cultures. But that was yesterday and today we will learn this Today in the News....

An old Sears commercial from the '70's say... Everything you wanted and didn't get for Christmas is on sale now at Sears. While that is still the case it is much more stores today having sales than just Sears. Today in the News it was wall to wall shopping with stores opening as early as 5am with after Christmas sales and the 3 shows covered it like a blanket on a baby. Also in the news today on My58 though it is a 2-3 day story they did follow up with the Del Oro teen getting the video message from her father who cannot be home for the holiday's.
Fox40 also showed the video without the Follow up and they also talked to Front Street Shelter who told Bethany that in 39 appearances on the show they've had 39 dogs/cats adopted. Today made 40 so let's hope Lucky the dog can end an already perfect year for 2013.
Good Day Sacramento welcomed back Julissa, Ken, Melissa who all had Christmas off.
Ken lead off the Show&tell portion of the show talking about his son getting a drum set for Christmas and doing pretty well with it. Courtney talked about her daughter being super excited about Santa she woke up at 530 and crashed on couch by 7am. Though it wasn't a part of Show&tell Cody showed his BEST gift from his wife Carol the gift of Tardis socks from the Doctor Who collection. On a side note I LOVED the Doctor Who Christmas Special. I'm not sure why I missed out on prior shows but I am so glad Cody got me into it. Back to today....
Melissa shopped all show and found some great deals.
Doug The Car Czar may have created a Good Day Sacramento classic. I would love for those at Good Day Sacramento to consider giving Doug a time either weekly, biweekly, or monthly to have a car rant. It was so funny I laugh just thinking about it but he made some great points.
Missing from the show today was Tina Macuha so Courtney handled the Courts Tunes with Retro TV shows.
Julissa and Cody handled the #9amtopic today but Ken did have his Manly Minute.
Kristin gave great info on how to recycle the Christmas tree.
