Marianne: Military Child of the Year Semifinalist
Today on Good Day Marianne was with Dad Chris and Bethany Strickland a local student who is a semifinalist for the Operation Homefront 2016 Military Child of the Year Award. She’s active in several leadership organization, volunteers with local children and spent time teaching English to kids in a Syrian refugee camp. The 8th annual awards will recognize six outstanding young people from ages 8 to 18 to represent the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard for their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life.

Marianne: Military Child of the Year Semifinalist
Today on Good Day Marianne was with Dad Chris and Bethany Strickland a local student who is a semifinalist for the Operation Homefront 2016 Military Child of the Year Award. She’s active in several leadership organization, volunteers with local children and spent time teaching English to kids in a Syrian refugee camp. The 8th annual awards will recognize six outstanding young people from ages 8 to 18 to represent the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard for their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life.
