Ted 2 Falls to Third / @Markatthemovies Episode 300 Highlights
Week of 6/27/2015 - 6/28/2015
Box Office Report:
It appears that the strong hold Jurassic World has on the Box Office will close out the month June on top once again with an estimate $54,200,000 but Disney Pixar Inside Out starring Kaitlyn Dias as Riley is giving the dinosaurs a run for its money with an estimate $52,128,000. Ted 2 is coming in 3rd place with an estimated $33,000,000 and Max is struggling however will finish in 4th with an estimated $12,210,000 and Spy will round out the top 5 with an estimated $7,800,000 when all's said and done come Monday after the Official Box Office Numbers are released.

Allen was joined by Kelly Savanna Deaton Brian Crall Dionna Renee and Heather Brent to talk about Max with Thomas Haden Church Lauren Graham Josh Wiggins, and Boaz Yakin all talking to Producer Kristan Kelleher who did an outstanding job in her first ever set of interviews.
Also new this week Comedian / Actor Jamie Kennedy joined via Skype to talk about his new movie Other Plans Movie.
Of course they talked about Ted 2 and Mark talked with Seth MacFarlane Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried.
Mark also brought back an old friend to this weeks 300th Show. At the time Jackson from Lights Camera Jackson was about 10-11 years old when Ashley Williams found him on a red carpet. Jackson is now 16 going on 46. Jackson was brought in to talk about Inside Out in the Retro Reel review.

Mark at the Movies hit a milestone this weekend. The show originally aired on October 1, 2009 who starred Mark S. Allen and young up and
coming host Ashley Williams.
From that first episode the show has evolved into a Giant in the entertainment industry now being seen in over 38 million homes on ReelzChannel, Armed Forces Network and select CW Network's the show can be seen throughout the weekend. Through the years Mark at the Movies has won 3 Emmys and still going strong. Back in 2010 I wrote this review of the show on www.reelz.com/show/106/mark-at-the-movies

If you have not seen Mark at the Movies you are totally missing out. With Host Mark S. Allen and Co host Ashley Williams these 2 bring a different feel to each movie they review. From amazing interviews to the fun they make the show it is a must see. Ashley though in her younger years (20's) Has so much poise and wonderful interview skills the sky's the limit for her and she has not even come close to the limit. Within the next 3 years look for Ashley to be on top of the media world either in the entertainment industry or in the national news industry. She has so much potential I cannot express this enough. Mark a former radio DJ has grown so much into this form of entertainment I am totally amazed. Mark who once fell off a billboard while raising money is by far one of the most respected reviewers in the business. Though Mark has had plenty of offers to move into a national role it is his Commitment to his family of 3 and his wife that keeps him grounded. Mark is always involved in helping many different organizations in their efforts to raise money and Mark has always done a fantastic job doing that by going above and beyond his call of duty. I strongly suggest everyone watch Mark and the Movies because you will be hooked like I was my first time watching this 3 time Emmy Award winning show.

Fast Forward to 2015 and the current line up of Mark at the Movies. Mark is still the outstanding host but he has also help launch Television careers for so many who join him week after week. Alexa Renee is one of the BEST interviewers on the show and still to this date has the BEST interview with Jennifer Lopez I've seen. Heather Brent this mother of 2 is a star in the making. from her first awkward audition at local TV Station booth at the State Fair to now being one of the BEST reporters on TV and back in Episode 218 had a GREAT interview with T-Bone Burnett and Oscar Isaac that will always stand out as one of the BEST interviews on the show. Dionna Renee is to my memory the only person who has made Kevin Hart sing during an interview for Wedding Ringer. Dionna not only beautiful but has great commentary about the movies talked about each week. Jordyn M. Rolling also a part of the group is by far one of the best to grace the show. She is always quick to bring knowledge and does so in a way everyone watching can understand. Jordyn also does a great job with interviews including that of Hugh Jackman in Chappie. However she is not the only one to have interviewed Hugh Jackman Brian Crall owner of Sacramento Comedy Spot also did and during the interview found out Hugh's secret to being fit which Mark opened the bottle that Brian planned on saving. One of the newbies to the group is Kelly Savanna Deaton If you don't love Kelly you don't know what you're missing. Kelly is like a human version of Wikipedia. She brings so many back stories about the movie and/or actor/actress I'm amazed everytime. Crystal Donohoe also new to the group has only appeared on select shows but when she's there she too adds so much to the show. All of these GREAT People have bright futures ahead and as I said about Ashley so long ago within 3 years this group will be on top of the world.
Over the years Mark has had his share of producers and all of them have contributed to the show. Charles Bernard once asked President Obama if he ever watched Mark at the Movies. Alicia de la Garza hated scarey movies but did such a great job doing the interviews for The Conjuring. Now you can add Kristan Kelleher who did this weeks interviews for Max Movie. Everyone on the show brings something and that is even true for the awesome director Marc Woodfork. Not only did Marc bring What You Should Be Talking About but has also taken part in interviews for the more recent Entourage Movie Special.
Over the years Mark has had his share of Co Hosts. When Ashley departed for another gig Mark had fill in hosts until he found the right one. Mark brought in the likes of Brooke Lusk, Brittany Young Dariany Santana, Kylie Mar and then Anna Wesselman stormed the stage and blew everyone away. Anna was not your normal Hollywood looking host with her short black hair, tattoos and awesome pants. Anna remained in the Co Host roll until Rachel Greninger took over but Anna would remain once Mark expanded to a panel as we know it today rather than just a 2 person team like it was during the Ashley and Anna days.
Mark has also introduced us to 2 big names in radio although one is kind of small in person. BigAl Sams the original announcer and now the current SHORT-E ON HOT 1035 who does a great job.
Without these names from the past and the present we would not have the history of the show. 300 shows takes a lot of years and lot of hard working people. Because I am not directly involved day to day I can't name everyone but I can tell you if you love Marvel movies then there is no one better to do the interviews than Julian Soto not only does Julian do a GREAT job with the interviews for all things Marvel but he is a HUGE part of the Floor crew as well as all the official tweets and Facebook posts most likely it's Julian. When I first Julian he was just starting out as a camera guy and now he can do it all.
I want to thank Mark S. Allen personally. Mark you didn't have to let me do what I do for you and for the show each week. I have learned so much about Television, Movies, How to be a professional and nothing I do or say can come close to expressing just how I feel about you as a person as well as one of the finest Movie critics in the business. You will always be my brother, my friend my mentor. Thank you for such a great opportunity and I hope I can make you proud over the next 300 shows.
I also want to thank everyone from past and present for being there for me and accepting me. Each of you will always hold a special place in my heart. Happy 300th Show
