Quick Thought:
It was great to see Kristin back today in Rover and then at Sac State. Nha did a GREAT job at California Al's in Lodi. Tina is the best when it comes to checking out new spots like Iron Horse Tavern with one of the greatest owners in town Mason Wong. Plus Tina's Check This Out today was pretty sweet. How cool was it to see Mason show off his talent with Ken for the Red Bull Slackline Event coming up next week. It's always great to see Doug the Car Czar and now he's added a Emmy to his shelf. One thing I love about most Tuesday's is CNet and today Sharon Profis joined to talk about the Apple Announcements. The story of the day has nothing to do with Free Blood Mary, Free Pancakes, or Movie Passes but it was Mark supporting his friend Tony Park owner of the River's Edge Cafe having their 2nd Annual Blood Drive.

Ken: Red Bull Slackline Athletes
Today on Good Day Ken was with Mason, One of the world’s best slackliners who will take part in the Red Bull Baylines. Modern day slacklining originated with rock climbers in the 1980’s and is a fast-growing sport that involves balancing on climber’s webbing, anchored between two points. Evolution of the sport has seen slacklining adopt a wider webbing and increased tension, allowing “slackers” to perform aerial tricks between mountains or buildings, all while rigged high above the ground.

Today on Good Day Kristin was checking out Ants at Sac State. Ants have plenty of leg room in a spacious new Sac State exhibit!! Ants aerate the soil, invade the kitchen, and ruin picnics. But this summer they’re in the spotlight at Sacramento State’s Sequoia Hall lobby as the University’s latest Living Gallery exhibit. The ants on display are red harvester ants and are native to the California.
