The estimated Box Office Numbers are in and in a shocking surprise Lucy ($44,025,000)will take the top spot with Hercules ($29,000,000) not even coming close to the top. Coming in 3rd. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes ($16,400,000) and The Purge ($9,896,000) as well as Planes Fire and Rescue ($9,303,000) round out the top 5 with Sex Tape free falling to 6.
Lucy will be enjoying the top spot this week but if the hype leading up to Guardians of the Galaxy is true I would think Guardians will not only overtake but blow away Lucy and it's competition next week.
This Week Mark at the Movies got back to normal programming after last weeks Special Edition Best Comedies of the 21st Century.
This week in Retro Reel Review Dominique from Beverly Hills Pawn joined via Skype to talk about the #1 Comedy last week Sex Tape. After they talked Mark showed a clip from the stars of the film including Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel.
One of the funnier opening scenes from Mark at the Movie came from Big Al and Brian playing Sex Tape Twister and Anna and Rachel cheering them on.
A brief talk of Lucy was done where Rachel said Scarlett was not the original pick to play the roll. That roll was to be for Angelina Jolie but her schedule did not allow it.
Julian Soto sat down with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to talk Hercules.
It was so GREAT to see Anna back after 2 weeks off. The talked to Zach Braff about his roll in Wish I was Here.
It was a fun show and a shocking one at the end when Rachel announced she did not know who Chuck Berry was. What? I am so old now. Ahh well it was funny but really I feel old.
In a Nutshell the show was nice to see back but we did miss Heather for sure. Guardians of the Galaxy next week so until then I will see you at the movies.
