Opening Statement:
Happy 4th of July. Today we celebrate our Independence with BBQ, Beer, and Fireworks. But we also celebrate with honoring the Red White and Blue by flying our flags and wearing our colors.
Why we celebrate the day with all the fun stuff that comes with it lets also remember some of the bad so we can be sure that none of that happens. Pets are not fans of fireworks. Don't have them around when you fire them off. Do not fire off close to young kids. Yes it's okay to have kids enjoy them but don't let them light or be around without adult supervision. Also remember we have a drought in California so Grass Fire Danger will be higher. Make sure to set fireworks off away from grass and do not put them in he garbage right away. Place fireworks in a bucket of water and leave overnight. Also have garden hose within reach if needed. Don't fire off guns and don't fire off Illegal fireworks. What goes up must come down. It could come down on a neighbors house or mine.
Most of all to remember about today is to have fun and enjoy the day and remember what it's all about.

The 7am hour continued with a BANG with more fireworks show from Laura. This hour she set off Purple Rain (Which was very impressive) Sparkle Lite was a bit of a dud, Pyropalooza started off with a bang and continued throughout along with Sparkling Nights. They retried Sparkling Lite and it worked better. Chef Evan from Evans kitchen with Breakfast at your place with Mark. Tina was at the start of the Roseville 5K run and she even ran a bit. Kristin was checking out beautiful art work that included art from a 6 year old, and one Autistic painter who did a wonderful job. Petco was in the building giving tips on how to protect your pets tonight for the fireworks. Julissa continued from Good Design Market where she talked with 2 local brothers who take old cases, Toy cases, lunchboxes and make them into a boomcase.

Traditions add rhythm and texture to our lives, bind us together with others, give us something to look forward to, and simply provide a good deal of joy and satisfaction. When it comes to traditions in my family, no day of the year is filled with more of them than the Fourth of July. My family has always done Independence Day up big, bigger even than Christmas. Good Day Firework Spectacular:
The Good Day Firework Specular kicked off with a BANG!!! Today Laura put away her weather map to become the Senior Firework Correspondent for the show.
Laura set off several fireworks throughout the show starting off with the most expensive ones in the early morning hours so you could see the best they have to offer.
Laura set off fireworks just about every 30 minutes with something different each time. Many of the fireworks set off provided at least 1-3 minutes of popping, sparkling and loud fun. A couple of the fireworks that appeared to have stopped relit seconds later which served as a good reminder to wait until you are sure they have completely completed and to keep children far enough back.
One of the fireworks set off was the Zombie Zapper. The Zombie Zapper was a bit of a disappointment but the Purple Rain I felt was more impressive of the 2.
The finale of the show came in the 9am hour when they put together the entire show into one.

I Love A Parade:
4th of July means parades. Parades are all over the area but today on Good Day Kristin was at the Galt Parade. Kristin spent the day in Galt going behind the scenes checking out all the festivities that built up to the parade and was even at the kickoff point where all the parade participants await their turn to go.
Tina and Mark also got to be in a parade. With Dave shooting the footage, Tina driving and Mark running camera in Mobile 13 they joined in on the Roseville 4th of July Parade. They had to follow Wild Bills who was in his boat car.
Good Design Market/Boomcase:
On Sunday July 6th is a very special and unique Market. This Pop Up Market has artists showcasing their talents such as the 3 we met today on Good Day. One makes jewelry while another artist makes tables and things out of old bike tires and spokes.
But perhaps one of the coolest artists to attend this event are 2 brothers who take old suitcases, Toy cases, and even lunch boxes and makes them into a boombox. Boomcases can be used with your IPhone.
Check this event out this Sunday at 1409 Del Paso in Sacramento.
Tower Garden:
If you don't have a large area to plant why not get the Tower Garden. The Tower Garden is a vertical garden that holds up to 20 plants and today on Good Day Melissa was El Dorado Hills checking it out.
Breakfast at your Place:
What better way to celebrate 4th of July Breakfast with Mark S Allen and Chef Evan from Evan's Kitchen making a very special breakfast for one Natomas Family today on Good Day.
Protect Your Pet:
4th of July has a way of stressing out your pets with all the loud banging and popping. Ryan from Petco came in to tell us how we can protect our pets and how to protect them from getting lost.
Fun in Galt:
Kristin hung out in Galt all morning checking out SMUD hanging the large American Flag, Art from 2 very special girls in the area including one autistic girl who placed 3rd in the Art Contest. She also talked with the organizers for tonight's firework show and what to look for in today's 5K run and parade.
Fun in Roseville:
The 4th of July is celebrated by a lot of things and today in Roseville Tina ran in a 5K okay well she ran about 500 feet but she ran and she learned how to twirl a baton as well.

Mom Jean Shorts? Really? Just Say No unless you are doing a fashion show with Melissa and Sei Bella Boutique in Roseville who then came back with more High End Fashion in the 9am hour.

Jimi Hendrix:
Singer/Songwriter/Musician John Morris performed a wonderful rendition of the Jimi Hendrix version of the Star Spangled Banner on the Good Day Stage. He did a wonderful job but I really liked his guitar art with Gun clip attached to it.
Manly Minute:
Today on Ken's edition of Manly Minute he talked about 5 things to do on the 4th of July including a movie, BBQ, and fireworks.
Dancing:
Tonya Starr aka Latoya Jackson look a like in my opinion brought her Soul Line Dance crew in to dance on the Good Day Stage. The crew did one number on their own and then assisted in the Dance Party song of James Brown.
Tomorrow:
The Dancing is done and so is the Good Day Fun for the day. We now turn the controls over to Cody, Amy and crew for all the Good Day Weekend fun. Somethings to look forward to will be Ask Eleanor, Dishin With Tina on Sunday. So tune in tomorrow at 7am and see what is in store for Saturday. Melissa was in El Dorado Hills checking out the Tower Garden. A garden that is vertical and holds up to 20 plants. Julissa was at the Good Design Market. This is a pop up market that hits Sacramento on Sunday July 6. It showcases local artists, music and more. The 7am hour continued with a BANG with more fireworks show from Laura. This hour she set off Purple Rain (Which was very impressive) Sparkle Lite was a bit of a dud, Pyropalooza started off with a bang and continued throughout along with Sparkling Nights. They retried Sparkling Lite and it worked better. Chef Evan from Evans kitchen with Breakfast at your place with Mark. Tina was at the start of the Roseville 5K run and she even ran a bit. Kristin was checking out beautiful art work that included art from a 6 year old, and one Autistic painter who did a wonderful job. Petco was in the building giving tips on how to protect your pets tonight for the fireworks. Julissa continued from Good Design Market where she talked with 2 local brothers who take old cases, Toy cases, lunchboxes and make them into a boomcase.

A man has a healthy appreciation for positive traditions. Traditions add rhythm and texture to our lives, bind us together with others, give us something to look forward to, and simply provide a good deal of joy and satisfaction. When it comes to traditions in my family, no day of the year is filled with more of them than the Fourth of July. My family has always done Independence Day up big, bigger even than Christmas. The day is filled with activities from morning until night; my family loves to cram as much fun as possible into the holiday. Good Day Firework Spectacular:
The Good Day Firework Specular kicked off with a BANG!!! Today Laura put away her weather map to become the Senior Firework Correspondent for the show.
Laura set off several fireworks throughout the show starting off with the most expensive ones in the early morning hours so you could see the best they have to offer.
Laura set off fireworks just about every 30 minutes with something different each time. Many of the fireworks set off provided at least 1-3 minutes of popping, sparkling and loud fun. A couple of the fireworks that appeared to have stopped relit seconds later which served as a good reminder to wait until you are sure they have completely completed and to keep children far enough back.
One of the fireworks set off was the Zombie Zapper. The Zombie Zapper was a bit of a disappointment but the Purple Rain I felt was more impressive of the 2.
The finale of the show came in the 9am hour when they put together the entire show into one.

I Love A Parade:
4th of July means parades. Parades are all over the area but today on Good Day Kristin was at the Galt Parade. Kristin spent the day in Galt going behind the scenes checking out all the festivities that built up to the parade and was even at the kickoff point where all the parade participants await their turn to go.
Tina and Mark also got to be in a parade. With Dave shooting the footage, Tina driving and Mark running camera in Mobile 13 they joined in on the Roseville 4th of July Parade. They had to follow Wild Bills who was in his boat car.
Good Design Market/Boomcase:
On Sunday July 6th is a very special and unique Market. This Pop Up Market has artists showcasing their talents such as the 3 we met today on Good Day. One makes jewelry while another artist makes tables and things out of old bike tires and spokes.
But perhaps one of the coolest artists to attend this event are 2 brothers who take old suitcases, Toy cases, and even lunch boxes and makes them into a boombox. Boomcases can be used with your IPhone.
Check this event out this Sunday at 1409 Del Paso in Sacramento.
Tower Garden:
If you don't have a large area to plant why not get the Tower Garden. The Tower Garden is a vertical garden that holds up to 20 plants and today on Good Day Melissa was El Dorado Hills checking it out.
Breakfast at your Place:
What better way to celebrate 4th of July Breakfast with Mark S Allen and Chef Evan from Evan's Kitchen making a very special breakfast for one Natomas Family today on Good Day.
Protect Your Pet:
4th of July has a way of stressing out your pets with all the loud banging and popping. Ryan from Petco came in to tell us how we can protect our pets and how to protect them from getting lost.
Fun in Galt:
Kristin hung out in Galt all morning checking out SMUD hanging the large American Flag, Art from 2 very special girls in the area including one autistic girl who placed 3rd in the Art Contest. She also talked with the organizers for tonight's firework show and what to look for in today's 5K run and parade.
Fun in Roseville:
The 4th of July is celebrated by a lot of things and today in Roseville Tina ran in a 5K okay well she ran about 500 feet but she ran and she learned how to twirl a baton as well.

Mom Jean Shorts? Really? Just Say No unless you are doing a fashion show with Melissa and Sei Bella Boutique in Roseville who then came back with more High End Fashion in the 9am hour.

Singer/Songwriter/Musician John Morris performed a wonderful rendition of the Jimi Hendrix version of the Star Spangled Banner on the Good Day Stage. He did a wonderful job but I really liked his guitar art with Gun clip attached to it.
Manly Minute:
Today on Ken's edition of Manly Minute he talked about 5 things to do on the 4th of July including a movie, BBQ, and fireworks.
Dancing:
Tonya Starr aka Latoya Jackson look a like in my opinion brought her Soul Line Dance crew in to dance on the Good Day Stage. The crew did one number on their own and then assisted in the Dance Party song of James Brown.
Tomorrow:
The Dancing is done and so is the Good Day Fun for the day. We now turn the controls over to Cody, Amy and crew for all the Good Day Weekend fun. Somethings to look forward to will be Ask Eleanor, Dishin With Tina on Sunday. So tune in tomorrow at 7am and see what is in store for Saturday.
