It's FRIDAY!!! BART ON STRIKE! They threatened for weeks only to keep talking. Today they had no deal and said No deal by midnight they would walk. This time they did it. I feel bad for all those who use it on a daily basis. I'll have much more on this and the rest of today in.... Today in the News....

Thursday Night Football:
Seattle Seahawks are good. They traveled to Arizona and defeated the Cardinals 34-22. QB Russell Wilson finished the night with 235 yards 3 TD's and 29 yards rushing. They are now 6-1 on the year.
Final Thoughts:
Sometimes in life, baseball & in media life throws you a curve ball which was the case today. By midnight most of the area knew the BART strike was a go and therefore traffic to the Bay Area would be a nightmare and it would be the big story on the news. But what no one saw coming was the events that unfolded in Rio Linda with a robbery suspect shooting at police striking a K9. Not knowing much the stations scrambled to the scene as the search took place while a dog was being rushed to the hospital with a gun shot wound. As of the 815 update word spread of the capture of the suspect but the K9 updates did not fully come in for a few minutes later. Knowing this story and the BART story the 3 stations had all the best people on it. However Good Day Sacramento sent entertainment reporter to the vet to check on the wounded officer. Mark likes to have fun but when he needs to be a real reporter he puts away his comedic side and becomes human. My58 was off the air before the vet spoke so this left Fox40's Zohreen and Mark to cover this angle of the story.
Let me say right here right now thinking about this story and writing it brings the tears to my eyes. Both reporters did such an EXCELLENT JOB they brought me to want to just hug my dog and cry. I'm happy to report Drago WILL NOT, WILL NOT
need surgery. The bullet hit his shoulder but caused no damage. Usually we dance into the weekend as we ready for Cody & Amy but today we reflect on life and hug our pets a little tighter while we Pray for Drago.
