Ladies Day at Good Day...Today in the News Weekend Edition Part 1 10/26/2013:
Opening Statement:
It's OVER! Around 3pm yesterday a man shot at and hit 3 officers and injuring 1 more. None of the ones shot died. A standoff then took place until around 1230am when surprisingly the suspect gave up. I did not think he would but I'm glad that it ended with no more blood shed and now we can get on with the weekend edition of Today in the News....

High School Kickback Game of the Week: Cesar Chavez Vs. Bear Creek. Bear Creek gets by with a 20-13 win. Yet another kickback loss.
Folsom Vs. Sheldon: This late season Homecoming matchup saw Folsom travel to Elk Grove to take on the struggling Sheldon Huskies. This was my first time seeing QB sensation Jake Browning this season and if past season are any indications it will be a long night for the Husky Defense.
The Theme for the Sheldon Homecoming was "Haunted Homecoming."
Sheldon led the scoring off with a Merker TD pass to Johnson in the back of the end zone. Folsom gets the ball back after a fumble/turnover on downs and #2 scores on a rushing TD. Browning throws a long TD pass to 18 to end the first quarter 14-7 Folsom. Browning keeps this one to run it in from 1 yard out. 21-7 Folsom. Folsom is scoring on every drive now. Browning to #2 28-7. This drive stalled so Folsom with a rare Field Goal making it 31-7. The fun keeps coming Browning to #20 38-7. If this keeps up I'm going to file a bullying complaint.... Not. Merker throws his second pick of the game and Browning gets another this one goes to #14 Folsom 45-7. The halftime show is over and the crowd is heading home. Browning does it again 52-7. Browning to #18 after a Sheldon fumble 59-7. Merker throws a bomb to Johnson TOUCHDOWN HUSKIES 59-14. Folsom scores again on a run by #28. 66-14. Merker with a 65 yard bomb to Moore TOUCHDOWN! 66-21. Folsom on an 80 yard kick return 73-21. Folsom goes for it on 4th down can't convert Merker to Moore for a Huskie Touchdown. 73-27 extra point missed. For fun Folsom runs 74 yards to end the game making it 80-27. My final thought on this game... Jake Browning is everything and more as he is advertised.
Final Thoughts:
With Cody in the land of Disney it was Ladies Day on Good Day today. It was nice seeing Melissa & Amy interact with each other for the first time at the desk. It did feel different not having Cody but Melissa & Amy did GREAT. It did appear a segment or 2 got dropped but that happens on live TV. Tomorrow is one of my favorite shows despite how I feel about Halloween I love seeing the kids and Good Day Sacramento cast and crew in their costumes.
