Roseville Community School Preschool is holding their Let Them Play 5k, and Kids Fun Run! today. A New Farmer's Market is opening in Elk Grove, California today and we are checking out the location and what they have to offer. Cinco de Mayo celebrations are so big at Vallejos Restaurants they are starting early and we are at one of the 2 locations checking it out. Nha Nguyen is getting a taste of the Mexican Culture at the Fiesta En La Calle - Events & Festivals. Go back to the 80's with the City of Roseville, California Government 5K/10K Walk at Town Square. The S.F. Giants wheelchair softball team is holding tryouts at River Cats Independence Field. We are checking out Wilton Summer Fling as well as the Lodi Street Fair. While in Lodi, California the Lodi Police Department is holding an Open House. We are getting a getting a preview of the Urban Air Market SF. Bombay Jam is holding “BOLLYWOOD” DANCE CLASS & WORKOUT, Created by Cancer Survivor "Dawn" Cody and Melissa are talking with her about 8 Greens while Melissa gives it a try. Nha was at Vallejo’s in Downtown Sacramento who has a party so big they need two locations and they are celebrating Cinco de Mayo so big that it is stretching into seis de mayo. Nha was getting a taste of the Mexican Culture at the Fiesta en La Calle! Fiesta En La Calle Cinco De Mayo Festival is the most well attended Latino Music and Food Festival in all of the Sacramento Valley.
Heather was checking out Wilton Summer Fling where one local shop is home to many crafty entrepreneurs. Wilton Summer Fling is a collaboration of Local Crafters, business folks, and entrepreneurs who are in support of one another. Heather was at Lodi Street Fair which the largest street fair in Northern California in Downtown Lodi. With over 500 vendors, over 50,000 attendees, a craft beer fair within, and much much more. Heather was checking out the Lodi Police Open House.

This festival is an event that features unique wines and foods to ignite your senses! It’s considered Amador’s best wines alongside “Farm to Fork” foods! Tickets sell out fast for this event every year!
RECIPE:
Wild mushrooms and barbera risotto
Serves 6
INGREDIENTS
5 1/2 C chicken Stock
2 T extra-virgin olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
Salt & ground pepper
1 1/2C Arborio rice
½ C Barbera
2T unsalted butter
1# mixed wild mushrooms
Salt & freshly ground black pepper
1 shallot, minced
½ C freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 T chopped fresh
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a medium saucepan, bring the chicken stock to a simmer.
2. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil. Add the onion, season with salt and pepper and cook over moderate heat, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the rice and cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add the barbera and cook, stirring until the wine is absorbed. Add 1 C of the warm stock and cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until nearly absorbed. Continue adding the stock ½ C at a time, stirring constantly, until nearly absorbed.
